They can be slow about seating when they are busy so try to go during their off-hours. Not quite worth a 30 minute wait. Pho '79 offers super yummy food at a really decent price. LOVE the beef stew with their fresh and crunchy french bread! Or try their Vietnamese sandwiches! Take-out is convenient as well, just call ahead.

PROS: Decent service, delicious and hot food served in a timely manner
CONS: Long wait at times, sticky tables, loud atmosphere

The pho isn't that good. The serving size is ok but they don't give that much meat and the broth is mediocre. Pho 79 is Zagat rated but apparently it doesn't mean anything.

this place makes the best pho in town but the service here kinda sucks. they take a long time to seat you and serve you. you must look out.....dishes and shop sticks are kinda dirty.

Not that great - so-so at best. If you want good Vietnamese food, I'd say try Golden Deli in San Gabriel instead.
