This place is truly a treasure. I usually order one of the fabulous Greek pizzas or the wonderful spanakopita. Other favorite dishes are the gyros and the rigatoni with meat sauce. The Santorini potatoes are not to be missed, and they have great baba ghanoush.

Compared with other Mediterranean restaurants I've tried in the Bay Area, the food here is light and fresh, and seems more Greek than Arabic (since Med. is such a broad term).

The service has always been great, even through some ownership changes. I've seen some complaints on Yelp about the service, and I can't imagine it. This place is one of the best.

I have to agree with the first guy. From the moment we got there the owner guy was very short with us and made fun of us, going so far as imitating me personally, mimicking my saying "ummm" as I was ordering. Then while we were sitting outside he kept coming and standing nearby, all with a very strange demeanor. The food was definitely legit but the customer service made us feel so uncomfortable that I would hesitate to go there ever again. The guy didn't do any of the normal pleasantries, including asking if we would like to be seated, or offer the check. If you want to have the weirdest dining experience of your life, I suggest you dine here.

Pros: Decent food, quick service

Cons: Bizarre behavior by the owner and his staff

Santorini is a very nice, friendly, reasonably priced neighborhood restaurant. Right on Laurel Street, it's conveniently located. The wraps are very good - I had the spicy lamb which was delicious. The servings are very generous. Service was fast and friendly.

I went here for the first time tonight and I am now a huge fan. I had the roasted veggie wrap and my dinner companion had the eggplant wrap. The wraps are a good sized and filling. We each also ordered the Santorini potatoes which are these very delicious thinly sliced potatoes that are fried and the topped with salt and vinegar. Oh so tasty yet not greasy. For dessert we had baklava which is made fresh every day. The baklava is some of the nicest I had -- not so overtly buttery that it masks the flavor and spices of the filling. The baklava is made fresh daily. In fact, they don't keep any of there food over night. Santorinis also has the added bonus of having a nice atmosphere without the inflated prices. The meal I described above was $30 (with tax and tip) including two iced teas with free refills.

PROS: Great quality food that is reasonably priced
CONS:

I don't know what the other person was talking about but we eat there regularly and the food is great, pricing is okay but the fact the owner serves you makes it all that much better. Those people are total snobs!....maybe they should stick to places that they are regulars at. I recommend this resaurant and make sure to try the fried potatos.

The meal was decent but the service was absolutely unbelieveable. The worst part is I think the owner was our waiter. We've never experienced such curt and inflexible responses to our questions. We were shocked at the end of the meal when the owner told us there was no charge for the meal because he didn't like to be laughed at. We were totally stumped by the meaning behind his comment, but boy did he know how to ruin a fair meal. NEVER would I step foot into this place again and I highly recommend that you do the same.

Hubby took a trip to Greece a few years back, and one of the places he visited was Santorini. So we were intrigued by the name of this Greek restaurant in San Carlos. We were also drawn by the cooking smells that wafting outside.

Both of us enjoyed the food a lot. The restaurant is small, so there are 2-3 tables outside on the sidewalk. We would go back again.

I like this place. They have a great lunch buffet consisting of an outstanding pasta bar. The menu items are good as well. It's a fun place to go, with good service and good food.
