Hi Everyone,

If anyone was involved in an accident on the Typhoon ride (It's the enclosed tunnel ride. You need a 2 person raft to ride this ride.), PLEASE CONTACT ME. I need your help in making a case against Waterworld's hazardous ride...to ensure safety to the children and all others that come here.

I went to Waterworld on Monday September 1, 2008 with my boyfriend and some friends. We went down the Typhoon(?), the enclosed tunnel slide that requires a 2person raft. I read the sign, followed the instructions of the lifeguard up top: the heavier person sat in back(my boyfriend), and the lighter person sat in front(me). We sat in our little raft, and held on to the sides for safety, or so I thought.

As we're going down, we gain a lot of speed. As we start gaining speed, we take a sharp turn and the raft loses control. It flips up to the right side and we both fall out of the raft, and CRASH into the left side of the tunnel slide.

The left side of my head CRASHES into the tunnel wall, my boyfriend crashes into the side as well and into me. We tumble out of the slide disoriented, the raft, me, then my boyfriend in that order.

I had a raging migraine, the left side of my head was pounding, my neck and shoulder were cramped up beyond belief and I was very dizzy and disoriented.

Some EMT or lifeguard girl came up to me to ask if I was okay and followed through a series of questions to ensure that I did not have a concussion. She told me I should go get checked out at the hospital, and that Waterworld would cover any out of pocket expenses.

I had to go to the ER twice, I got a CAT scan done, and was then referred to an ear specialist. I had the WORST migraine ever, Aching muscle strains from my neck, shoulder, down to my back, and a TERRIBLE EAR INFECTION in my ear canal and my cartilage. (My ear got swolllen, I started losing my hearing, and I had piercing pain).

HOW DIRTY is the water that all this happened?

What's even more shady is that Waterworld and their insurance company are making it very difficult to get the hospital expenses covered.

Parents, PLEASE do not take your children here. PLEASE do not go on this ride. It's hazardous. AND...they don't take responsibility for it after accidents happen. I REALLY believe they should shut down this ride or do something about it. 2 accidents on yelp, are 2 too many. I'm sure it has happened before as well.

This is a real cool place to hang out during the summer with family. It's so much fun to watch the kids play at the kiddie area where they can slide in mini slides into a pool and they have tire walks where you try not to fall into the water by hanging on to the ropes. They have so much fun here

I have memories of this place with my kids to last me a lifetime. This is one of our families favorite summer hang out. It's a place where we as a family come together and just let go of every worry and stress and just have fun. They have more than 10 waterslides ranging from little kiddie slides to a giant fun filled scary slide. The food is expensive but we love to have the bbq and enjoy the different ice cream that they sell.

Waterworld in Concord is a summer favorite of our family. I like that I can take the younger kids in the "kidddie area" and the others can go on the bigger slides. Food could be better

My family loves going to Waterworld, the water rides are the bomb. We really enjoy the Wave Pool it's the best. Plenty of fun in the sun. They even have little cabanas for those who need the shade.

Are family like going to the water slides we have season passes the water sides are fun and they have a kiddie poll with small slides. their wave pool is one of the fun things there

water world has good water slides. there's tornado , and these other ones that i don't remember.there's the wave pool the wave pool is ehre eveybody loves bcause it has waves. ther one thing is where you do the monkey bars on these leap pads. it's so fun because if you make it across you'll be so glad. but the rope might hurt.

waterworld usa is a great place for the whole family to have fun they rent rafts and the have fun waterslides . the food could be very expensive and you cannot bring in your food.

This is one of my favorite places to go during the summer. My kids are now old enough to go on their own so I could find a shaded area and just relax all day long. They have the never ending river where you can rent a tube for 6.00 and use it all day. This lazy river just goes around and around with a few water falls along the edges and is a perfect way to cool off for people like myself who does not do waterslides. They have the big kahuna which is one of my kids and husbands favorite. FOOD IS VERY EXPENSIVE and the park does not allow you to bring any kind of food. I was even asked to leave my pack of gum when they searched my bag. YES they will search your bag making sure you do not bring any food or drink. You must get here when it opens in order to get chairs and shade but if you don't, they have cabana's that you can rent at 45.00 dollars per day. Thats beside your entrance. We are and have been season pass holders for a very long time

This is a great place for kids and adults of all ages. my daughter loves going on the big waterslides while my youngest likes floating down the river with mommy. it is not a good place if it gets to really hot since then you are just hot and no longer having any fun. the price could be lower but if you have a season pass it is really worth it. nice cool water on a hot day sounds like fun.

This is a great water theme park for those hot, hot summer days. It is a perfect place to take the kids. They have so many rides and they are all safe and of course, fun! You can go down the lazy lazy river, or you could risk it all on the big water rides. There is a novelty shop and of course, food courts! Yum yum! You can use your Six Flags Marine World season pass here, I believe. Waterworld is a part of six flags, after all.

Waterworld is a great place to take the kids or a group of friends on a hot day! The park has quite a few waterslides, as well as a wave pool and a lazy river. Prices aren't too expensive and it seems like they're always discount coupons in the newspaper as well. Beware though, that on weekends in the summer the place is packed and there is very little shade. So bring sunscreen!

This is a very nice ameusment park. It is one of the six flags companies, I learned that recently. They have water slides that some daredevil teenagers went on.. I went on a few but not very steep ones. They have a "lazzy river" where you can just sit in an "innertube" and the currents of the pool just move you along. They have great customer service and great security, and they have a small shop where you can purchase a swimsuit or some sunscreen- just in case you forget yours. Admission is expensive. If you are planning to go more than once, I'd suggest using a season pass. It ends up being cheaper.

My kids have been going to Waterworld and having fun there ever since it was built. I do have a couple of tips I would like to share, though. You are not allowed to bring in outside food. So that means the food they sell there is outragously expensive. However, you can go out to your car and eat outside. There are a couple of picnic benches outside just for this purpose. The other thing is that there is very little shade and if you don't get there right when they open you cannot find a place to sit, let alone something with shade. I did find out yesterday that you can bring in your own lawn chairs, but it is still tough to find something in the shade. Also, if your kids are old enough to be dropped off, you do not have to pay for parking. Just tell the parking attendant you are there to drop off and they wave you on through.

waterworld usa is a great water park for family and friends to have funand enjoy the sun. This is a big waterpark with a ton of slides that are meant for children and adults. They also have a lazy pool that is very fun to relax in. The really high water slides are the most fun because you get such a thrill. Overall, waterworld is a exciting, fun waterpark with a reasonable entrance fee of $19.99 if you buy online.

This is an great place to go to cool off when he weather is hot. Their can be long lines and too many people on some weekends but it's still fun. The food is expensive but tastes alright. The waterslides and different pools are a lot of fun and it is worth it to go.
