3 Stars: Visit to the hospital (by Marianna C.)

Our recent visit was disappointing to this hospital. We always had a very good opinion of this place, but several weeks ago we had to take my mother-in law for a procedure at the hospital. She is 75, Father-in law 86.When we arrived, no one at the information desk new where we were suppose to take to check in. After 30 minuted they finally took her in a wheelchair and told us where to meet her. My father-in law had to walk almost 1/4 mile trough the hospital. NO one even mention that we can drive around and park near to the area where she was in. We we finaly got there the nurse could not believe that they make us walk all the way there.Besides that all doctors and nurses have been good to them so far.

5 Stars: The best of the best work here (by monica d.)

The doctors and nurses seem to be so educated anytime I had a question they were able to answer it or explain it to me in a way that I can understand, they didn't make me feel like I asked a dumb question. They're really kind.

PROS: friendly comforting doctors, and nurses, and very well educated.
CONS: always busy

5 Stars: Excellent care from E.R. to Discharge (by Margaret R.)

Last Monday, I was taken by ambulance from my hotel to this hospital, and discharged on Thursday. As a retired R.N. administrator,/educator it is automatic for me to critique care. In 32 yrs. of nursing, even in my own facilities , I have never seen such exemplary team work! You might say I 'tried it all" - I was cared for in E.R., Unit 2200, Intermediate Care Unit and Unit 3300. My thanks too to E.R. Dr. Dennis (?), Dr. Panhwar, Dr. Shindell and his team. My husband was given every consideration as well. I was also impressed by the cleanliness of the facility.
I appreciated the beautiful photography and music on the PM channel on the TV. I wish it were available for sale as a DVD! The only other 'recommendation' I would make is to suggest the staff drop the words "Honey", and "Sweetie" from their vocabulary.

4 Stars: Best of 2 (by Chris S.)

There are 2 hospitals in this town and this is the one you want to go to. They are a large hospital with a lot to offer. They have every kind of specialist there. They are kind and courteous from when you walk in to when you walk out. They do have some parking issues though. They recently revamped the entire hospital but it is so good, it can be hard to find a place to park.

1 Stars: ER experiance (by Br E.)

My 6yr. old was having an asthma attack late at night I took him in to the ER & unfortunatly got a P.A. named Michael. His was very uncaring & did not really seem to know what he was doing. . . He sent us home after a few breathing treatments & my son was still feeling horrible & wheezing, grunting & the whole bit. Well we ended up back in the ER at 4:30 am when my son had to be bolused with treatment & steriods & admitted to the pediatric unit. He was the most incompetent person I ever met. . Our ped. nurse was wonderful.
