Zagarella's is not the most famous in Little Italy but it is a great place to eat. All of their dishes are good and reasonably priced. We like sitting on the outdoor patio. A nice place to go for a romantic date.

Zagarella is a great Italian restaurant with a nice ambiance. Sitting at the outdoor patio on a nice evening makes it even better. The food is really good and they have a great wine list too. The prices are decent, definitely not as high as others.

I was a little disappointed with this place. The outside looked cool but the service was bad and the food wasn't that much better. The prices weren't too bad (thank goodness)

My wife and I tried Zagarella after not being patient enough to wait in a long line at Fillipi's.
First impressions play a big part in a restaurant experience and this one left much to be desired after we got seated next to the kitchen door by what appeared to be the bus person. The situation next to the swinging door would have been fine if the house was packed or if reservations were required but neither of those conditions existed and there were other seats available. Next wonderful experince was the delivery of a basket of bread by the bus person. Usually you can count on the bread being pretty good but this basket full had to be of the day old kind and lacked flavor and substance (the olives that accompanied the bread were good.). We sent the bread back when the waitress showed up.
Some time went by and the waitress came to take our drink order and she returned several minutes later with our glasses of water and my glass of wine then she took our order to memory and left the table. She returned a few moments later to confirm our order only to get it wrong.
Our order was brought to the table and both dishes contained sizable portions and we both thought we were about to bite into a tasty meal; however, after taking that first bite, we both had negative comments on the flavor. Her dish lacked flavor and so did mine and the chicken was very tough and chewy. While we continued to eat our food, we ran out of water and the waitress walked by repeatedly without ever asking if we needed a refill. She finally noticed and returned to refill our glasses.
Finally, about three-fourths the way through the meal, the waitress returned and plopped the bread down in front of us again. This time the bread had been toasted to hide the day old factor and it still lacked flavor.
At the end of the meal, the waitress asked if we wanted desert, we declined and she brought us the check.
And so ended the experience at Zagarella. Should have stayed in that Fillipi's line.
