My experience right from the start was a positive one. My appointment was on my clock and I felt comfortable approaching them with any question and concern, and I never once felt rushed ?? which was my experience with the local veterinary clinics?? ??in and out? attitude. I love the ??earthy?? feel of the clinic, the happy receptionist and the other clients who came and went through the waiting area who just added to the already happy environment which is Limehouse Veterinary Clinic. They have answered every question I have ever had with ease, and everything they have ever suggested to me or shared with me has worked and has helped educate me better on how to take care of my Cats on my own (which is nice).

My Cats are healthy, happy and full of life. I see my Vet??s like family, as they are always always willing to answer a quick question over the phone or in person with a quick visit. My Cat Hero had an upset stomach and loose stool. I was worried, but they quickly put my mind at ease in giving me a suggestion to do a natural cleanse with rice and meat for 1 week. If he still had an upset stomach to bring him right in. The cleanse did the trick and I didn??t have to put him on antibiotics. I REALLY appreciate their ??natural?? approach to [Holistic] medicine, and medicating only when necessary (which are far more mild medicines if they do)- rather than medicate from the very start because it??s easier ?? which is what the local vet clinics do.

If you??re looking for the best animal care for your Dog or Cat and you want a trustworthy and knowledgeable vet for your Pets ?? Limehouse Veterinary Clinic is the way to go. They get my vote!

Pros: Personable Experience

Cons: A little pricey, but so is everything in Los Angeles!

I have just learned that Dr Limehouse and his wife, Dr Taylor, were both contributors in support
of Proposition 8 (verified by the online list of donors).
I was absolutely shocked to find that 2 people who are so loving and compassionate with animals
would support such and un-loving and un-compassionate proposition.

A friend took her toy dog here when he had vomiting & diarrhea. Instead of doing a fecal analysis (to see if he had a parasite) & prescribing something to kill the parasite, they charged her for 'Rescue Remedy' & an additional $100 for an acupuncture treatment (which she never agreed to) & told her that Innova was 'bad food' (it's the ONLY certified Organic dog food in the USA & the only company - Natura Pet - that owns its own plant, which is inspected by the USDA monthly) & told her to put her tiny, sick dog on a 'natural (a meaningless term) kibble that was full of vegetables & roughage. The dog food he sold her is made by a large conglomerate, it's not certified organic & it made her dog have worse diarrhea.

When her toy dog got worse, she feared he might die, so she took him to Animal Medical Center in West Los Angeles (on Sepulveda) & they did a fecal analysis & her dog had a bacteria that required anibiotics, they also had her rehydrate the dog with doggy Pedialite & told her to give him Pepto-Bismol & told her to feed him white rice mixed with canned Innova.

He got better. Limehouse called her to tell her that her dog MUST come in for more $100 acupuncture treatments.

I have a pet sitter who has many clients & she feels as I do... that Limehouse pushes food he sells, holistic 'remedies' he also sells (many of which have no value), pushes acpunture that he does & it's all aimed at making money, keeping the client coming back, but not necessarily making the pet better. She thinks that DVM care at this place is for clients whose fears are played upon.

I think this place is a rip-off. I took my dog there a number of years ago & was not impressed with Dr. Limehouse, I found him to be insincere & focused on getting clients to come in for treatments on a weekly basis. Who can afford that?

I have recommended Dr. Limehouse to many of my friends and my own clients, and everyone agrees that he is the BEST! He has saved many pets' lives that I know of, and cured my own dog of a urinary tract problem that I had taken him to 3 other vets for with no results (3 rounds of expensive antibiotics later)! He offers natural, holistic remedies that REALLY WORK! And it is not overly expensive as you might think. On the contrary, the staff will be very honest with you and tell you when it is worthwhile to make the drive in, and when to visit your local vet and save the time and money! How often does that happen??? I love Dr. Limehouse and highly recommend him to everyone!

PROS: Holistic, inexpensive remedies. Can heal pets when other vets fail/give up!
CONS: None
