Buyer beware. Talk to anyone who has bought a house from this builder, and no one is happy with the quality of the homes. Not only are many eyesores - Abigail has no design or architectural credentials whatsoever and it shows - but they are all substandard, especially for the price range she sells them for. One house she built had mold problems 3 years after it was built and only after a legal battle, the builder had to go in and redo the entire foundation. Another house she built has light switches that don't work and a hot tub that doesn't work. At another house, the paint on the roof's flashing peeled off in weeks, and she had it quickly repainted to sell the house. Months later, the roof is an eyesore, with the silver metal flashing exposed along the entire length where all the paint has peeled. I spoke to one builder who witnessed her putting up one home and he commented that they cut corners and didn't even seal the foundation. Her homes may look good enough when they sell, but unsuspecting homeowners have to deal with the unexpected cost of patching up the shoddy workmanship of her homes. If only they knew what was beneath the surface...\r\n\r\nNow what I heard from a friend is simply shocking, and it may be heresay, but it sounds consistent with her modus operandi. It is no secret she goes with the lowest bidder for everything. But I heard that one of her contractors had the nerve to STEAL gravel from the neighbor's lot next door!!! Then she had the audacity to be upset that the neighbors complained to her. Her workers committed a crime and she supported it. I think that makes her a criminal too. What she sells her substandard homes for is certainly criminal.

I was a party to a real estate transaction in which Abby (the woman behind the company) was representing the sellers and I was the buyer. Though I can't speak directly about what it is like to have Abby as a listing agent, I can share my perspective as a buyer.

My purchase of Abby's client's house was contingent on the sale of a house that my wife and I were in the process of remodeling. In order to facilitate the successful sale of our house, Abby consulted extensively with us to help us put on the "right" finishing touches. She even went so far as to loan us furniture and art work for the staging of our home--truly above and beyond the call of duty.

In addition to assistance with our property, Abby also went out of her way to help us get acclimated in our new neighborhood by introducing us to our soont-to-be new neighbors.

All in all, the experience of buying a home from Abby was excellent. I'm sure her clients must be very pleased to know that their agent is going so far out of her way to attract buyers.
