I just bought a couch from Furniture USA. I thought I purchased the same size as the couch I replaced. The new couch was a lot longer. But the delivery guys, Oscar and Eli were very patient I'm figuring out how to get it into my apartment.

We needed a new couch for our family. We walked into the store and Red greeted us with a smile and a few pointers about the couches they carry. He was knowledgeable about the manufacturers and past customer satisfaction. They really worked with us and helped us find the right furniture for us. Red was great to work with as well as Stella and Ken. Also, Eugene and Kenny delivered our furniture to our home and they were both very professional, kind and respectful. Thank you for making our purchases a pleasant experience.

No stars : Buyer'S BEWARE ! I went to furniture USA on 2/19/2012 to purchase a bed for my nephew. Picked out a bed paid cash told them I would pick up next day. Called to cancel order and asked for refund less then 24 hours later. When I first called they gave me run around asked to speak with manager female Alex got on th e phone. Explained my situation and told her my situation. She said there is a no refund policy. How can that be when I never took possession of furniture it is still in showroom.

It was a great experience we were able to walk freely around the warehouse, greeted when we arrived - friendly environment - everyone was nice. Kenneth Royal was our Consultant, he was great, was not pushy, checked on us and only offered information about the furniture we were looking at. Even when we left, and told him that we would return he was not wanting all our information to ensure a sale. He thanked us for coming in. We checked out another store and were not even greeted. We did return and purchased what we had gone in for. We choose to return due to Mr Royals honesty and he made us feel comfortable.
The financing was fast, Stelat and Alex were great.

I have been purchasing furniture from Furniture USA for the past six years. I recently made another purchase and am always amazed at their staff and how helpful they are. Stella is my favorite, I'm not sure if she is the Manager or Assistant Manager, but she is always pleasant, courteous and never rude no matter how busy they are. I call her the boss's daughter. Jeffrey Cherry is outstanding! He listens to his customers to make sure you will be happy with your purchase / merchandise. I feel like he has the red carpet awaiting just for me when I walk through the door. VIP treatment. I will always shop at Furniture USA and I give them ****** 7 Stars!

Furniture-USA is a great store with great pieces of affordable furniture. Their staff is very friendly, professional and accommodating. Unfortunately, they are incompetence personified.
(1)(a) Before finishing my transaction for the sale of a sofa, I came upon the discounted sofas near the register. I mentioned that I wanted to look at these and he quickly informed me that I wouldn't be interested in those and that the more expensive one I had decided to buy was the perfect fit for me.
(1)(b) I had voiced numerous concerns about how the sofa would clear my apartment stairway. I had informed him that I had lived on the 2nd floor of a downtown apartment complex where the staircase is particularly narrow. I asked if the sofa would come in multiple pieces and would then require assemble upon deliver. He informed me that the sofa will come in one piece, already assembled. I voiced my concerns stating that there might be trouble getting into my apartment. He informed me that the "white glove" delivery service is done by professionals and that since they're professionals, they would get it into the apartment somehow. He even mentioned the legs of the sofa can be removed for easy transportation. This is a material fact that I had relied on. Had I not received such assurances from Kenneth, I would not have bought the sofa.
(2) The "White Glove" delivery service did not appear to be professional at all. For an $80 delivery service, which is comparably steep when compared to other furniture stores, I was expecting a bit of professionalism and due diligence. Instead I get the following:
(a) Though they were scheduled to come from 4:00pm-8:00pm, the delivery agent did not arrive until about 7:30pm. This is because their order slip had an incorrect contact number. Upon completion of my transaction, I was asked to verify my information. At this point, I pointed out that my number was incorrect and provided the correct number. I was assured this would be changed in their system. Apparently, it was not changed.
(2)(b) The delivery agents contemplated the delivery for about 5-10 minutes. Ultimately, they decided they could not do it without even trying to get it up the stairs, or even bringing it out.
(2)(c) I had also ordered a coffee table. I asked if they could let me take the coffee table. They told me that if I were to take the coffee table, I would have to pay a $40 delivery fee...They would not let me physically take it from their truck and carry it myself. I was required to pay money to take something that I owned...

(2)(d) Overall, not a professional $80 white glove delivery service you would hope for. They were of Latino descent. One had a tattoo on his wrist and continuously referred to me as "bro." I liked him though; he seemed to be the most reasonable of all associated with Furniture-USA.

(3) Stella is a very nice individual. I was mainly communicating with her to effectuate my refund. She was very professional, friendly, and easy to deal with. Unfortunately, she had erred in some processing my refund. She accidentally refunded me the incorrect amount, which was $50 less of what I should have received. Although she quickly called me back and fixed the problem.
(3)(a) I'm not sure who processed my order originally, but, as aforementioned, she did not change my telephone number in her system after I had told her that it was incorrectly listed on the bill at the time of check-up. She said the change would be made, it was not made, and subsequently, the white glove delivery service was not able to contact me, and presumably the deliver was occurred later.

Overall, they appear to have a great inventory of affordable furniture. They're professional and friendly. But by unfortunate circumstances, I was the unlucky customer to have to deal with a string bad luck.
The low rating doesn't necessarily reflect that they are a bad company. It merely means that I've had a bad experience.

Recently, I purchased a Mattress from Furniture USA and I slept on it the first night and didn't like it. So I tried it again on the second night thinking it would be better. It was not!!!!!! So I had to do something. I went back to ask if I could change the Mattress to a different one. There was no problem and all I had to do was pay the difference. Of course the Mattress was returned in its original state because I never took the plastic off. American Furniture has won me over and I will return to shop there. Thanks American Furniture.

I purchased a sofa and loveseat that fit the dimensions of my space and had the look I thought I wanted. Although the set looked nice, it turned out to be uncomfortable for me and my son. I contacted the salesman who sold me the set and, to my surprise, he told me to come in and select something else. He was very personable and charming, did not pressure me or make me feel badly about my previous choice. I also met the owner, who was equally as courteous. I took my time walking through the large showroom and found another sofa and loveseat that were more comfortable, yet still fit my space. I paid a little bit more than the first set, but it was worth it. The price was very reasonable and the sofa had a high-end look to it similar to one I had seen at Macys. The leather blend of the sofa I purchased would also be more durable than the so-called Italian leather set at that other store. You can't beat the knowledgeable sales staff, service and large selection available at Furniture USA. I don't know of another store in Sacramento that would be willing to provide an exchange after purchase and delivery of merchandise. They truly have something for everyone.

I actually stumbled upon this store. A friend referred me to this place. when I waled in I was greeted immediately by a friendly Sales Associate. We had been looking for awhile and the store is the biggest showroom I have seen. Selection was great, salesmen were knowledgeable, NOT pushy and the Service folks at the counter were fabulous.

I'm local (Citrus Heights) so they gave me free shipping too! Plus there weren't any pushy sales people to deal with. I needed some help understanding what was with a set, so I used the live help instant messaging and they told me everything I needed to know to feel comfortable. I agree that the sales people are pushy. Their prices ARE high as they were easily willing to come up with a "better" price and sudden specials such as no sales tax. However, they have a HUGE selection and the products are good.

My husband and I purchased a TV Hutch a year ago and although the sales people are a bit pushy, we just told then to give us our time-- and they did. The prices were great! And many pieces are in stock and do not need to be ordered. I would recommend them to friends and family, and I was happy to see that the employees actually knew their products. Our purchase is great quality and was a cinch to assemble! We'll return for our next furniture purchase!

don't listen to them when they say oh i'll have it in the store in one week when they have to order it. i bought a bedroom set which was supposed to arrive at the store in less than two weeks. it has already been two and a half weeks and it has not arrived. and the salespeople are pushy, too.

I am not impressed with this furniture store. It doesn't appeal at all to me because the showroom does not accent the furniture. It all seems confusing and mismatched.

The prices are not all that low or bargin-based. I feel like I'd do better at Macy's.
