Lionheart is a full-line game store, including chess, German board games, role-playing, collectable games (cards and miniatures), family games, and traditional board games. They also carries a (limited) selection of comic books.

There is a playspace in the back, including private rooms for (I assume) role-playing sessions. The space is well-lit, clean, and truly, the best space that I've seen in a game store.

There are scheduled events just about every night. The crowd is mostly younger gamers-- you won't find pro-tour Magic or Vs. players here, but you will find a friendly, family atmosphere.

With the close proximity to AEG (out in Ontario), they host most of the "special events" that AEG offers. Many employees drop in for a game or a demo. Marcelo F., a fixture in the SoCal scene, is at the store all the time.

The owner is very friendly and intent on building a good customer base-- he does his best to learn everyone's name and chat for a bit. If I weren't such a crabby, introverted consumer, I would really appreciate this.

PROS: Location, Family Atmosphere, Well-maintained space
CONS: Full retail price, limited comics selection
