Alameda County Auction
I had the successful bid of $3600 on a Chevrolet Tahoe at the January 3, 2009 auction. This auction will let you start the cars up, but will not let you drive them. I completed and picked up the vehicle on Monday, January 5, 2009. The total amount paid was $ 4665.36. Immediately as I began driving off of the ACA lot, I noticed several problems. The vehicle was shaking from right to left and vice versa. I slowly drove down the street and Big O Tires replaced the left front tire which was severely defective and which was a severe safety hazard. That defective tire could have exploded on the freeway causing death and destruction to myself and to others. After the tire problem was solved, I became acutely aware of a transmission problem. I had the transmission looked at by AAMCO and they said the transmission was no good and that the vehicle needed a new one. They gave me an estimate of a maximum of $ 2500. The Alameda County Auction purposefully, knowingly, and willfully sold me an unsafe and defective vehicle. They defrauded me out of $4665.36 and at this point, are not willing to take the vehicle back and give me a total refund of $4760.94 ($4665.36 for the vehicle plus $95.58 for the tire replaced by Big O). I am a disabled person and a senior citizen. I need safe and reliable transportation. The Alameda County Auction and Adell Saadeh are corrupt and are conducting their business in a criminal manner. They need to be investigated by the California Attorney General and the Alameda County District Attorney's Office. Since they hold a used car dealers license from the DMV, they need to be investigated by DMV Investigations (The Hayward Office which handles Alameda County)(510) 780-1383. The Alameda County DA's Office in Hayward, California can be reached at (510) 670-5100. There is also a Consumer Fraud Unit which I believe is a part of the Alameda County DA's Office. The Consumer Fraud Unit's telephone number is (510) 569-9281. The Alameda County Auction must cease conducting its business in a criminal, dishonest, and unethical manner. If it becomes necessary, a boycott of the Alameda County Auction will be called. This will entail demonstrations and picketing at the Alameda County Auction on regular work days as well as their auction days. The ACA must cease and desist from its present and ongoing criminal behavior. Please contact me via e-mail: mda@netzero.com
