I sent the following e-mail to body beautiful after and esecially poor experience today.
Ron Stowers,
Thanks for speaking to me about my car wash experience today. I started coming to Body Beautiful in 1996 primarily visiting the El Cajon location. I now split my business between El Cajon and Mission Valley. I use both the automated car wash and detail services (usually a hand wash and wax). The automated car wash always leave spots on my car and I don't want them waxed over. That' why I get the hand wash and wax.
I've noticed the service at both locations deteriorating (El Cajon and Mission Valley). I've also visited the downtown location where I was horrified at the service. The downtown location is so bad I took a rag and finished cleaning the car myself. It is much worse than El Cajon or Mission Valley.
Today, I visited the El Cajon location (they tend to do a better job with the automated car wash than Mission Valley). However, the final rinse after products (i.e. RainX) are applied wasn't spraying enough water. I mentioned this and they ran the car through again. After they finished I mentioned the floor mats were not cleaned (as the ticket writer had promised). They grumbled before finally washing them. I asked for a refund and the service manager refused to come to the office until he was repeatedly paged by the cashier. He argued with me before giving a refund. After leaving, I noticed the floor mats were in the wrong location (driver in passenger and passenger in drivers). Underneath the mats it was filthy.
I had asked the cashier (El Cajon) for the corporate contact and she gave me Juan Diaz's name. I called him and he said to come by Mission Valley and ask for Laiva (Mr. Diaz said he was going out of town). When I arrived at Mission Valley, I asked for Laiva and another manager came out. After a discussion he said they would re-vacuum and give my a voucher for another wash. He dissapeared and never returned. After calling the corporate office repeatedtly, they referred me to the Mission Valley ticket writer. He verbally abused me and told me he the car was "up to his standards." He finally had a gentleman in detail vaccum the car more throughly.
Finally I spoke to you after calling corporate four times (I was at Mission Valley where the corporate office is located). I am not sure why you did not come down earlier. The operator (at the corporate office) and the ticket writer at the car wash (Mission Valley) lied to me and said no one was in corporate. You were indeed in corporate the entire time. I am especially upsest with the ticket writer in Mission Valley. He lied and said he sas the most senior person I could talk to and he reported to the owner (when you were right above both of us in the corporate office).
I am very upset with this service. This is a culmanation in my frustration the delcine in service at your car washes (El Cajon and Mission Valley). Please let me know how I may contact the owner of Body Beautiful to share these concerns.
This e-mail is longer than usual because I intend to share the contents with several internet based ratings sites. I understand you may not read the entire text but want other to have that opportunity before visting Body Beauftiful.
Thanks,
Matthew

This car wash location dose a very good job of cleaning your car. Bring it and it will take about 15 min. , sometimes less and more depending on the trafffic. The car is hand dried and they do it right in front of you. It is clean and dry to every last spot needed. In addition, the price is okay as it is about the same for every other car wash location you can find.

If you don't like to wash your car yourself, this place is great. The people are friendly and helpful, and inside you can buy all kinds of knick-knacks for your car. It's best if you avoid the lunch hour and weekends...you'll wait awhile.
