Beach House Imports is an amazing place to have your vehicle serviced. The level of customer service from start to finish is impeccable. I recently had my Allroad serviced by Beach House and they went ABOVE and BEYOND to make sure that i was taken care of, and at a decent rate. The suspension service that I had done would have been double at Commonwealth Audi. The owner really went above and beyond to make sure that I am a customer for life. Do not hesitate to take your car to them, give it a try I don't think you will regret it. These guys also know what they are talking about, and try to make expensive car repairs a little less painful.

Businesses come and go, management and employees change, products and service offerings change that is the normal cycle of business in America, especially in highly populated areas like Southern California. So when you find a business that consistently performs at the highest level and you are greeted by the same smiling faces each time you visit, you take notice.

I was referred to Beach House Imports in the late 90s I think I was driving a late model Audi 100, one of several Audis and Volkswagens I have had over the years. Tim Bunning and his crew have taken care of all my cars since. I still find it amazing, amongst all the change that is typical in this area, that the same guys greet me every time. There is no other business that I go to in my 20 years in Orange County where I can say the same. Beach House Imports reminds me of the small town mechanics in my home town in central Illinois where everyone knows each other and your mechanic has been your family mechanic for 20-30 years or more.

I was able to attend the Customer Appreciation Party and unveiling of the updated facilities at Beach House Imports last fall. The improved and expanded shop is beautiful, masculine, spacious, environmentally friendly, and surprisingly a great place for a customer appreciation party. (The shop should really be rented out for events and parties!) It was at that event where I was able to chat with other longtime customers, and learn more about some of the work Beach House Imports has been doing for other customers. What I learned sort of made my mouth water

They are not only repairing and servicing Audis and Volkswagens, they are taking new high performance Audis and making them even better! They had just taken an Audi TTS and upped the performance to give it enough Gs to literally make that smile on your face permanent, but perhaps making your look a bit like the Joker for all of eternity.

It is that sort of rush and enthusiasm that makes guys like me buy Audis and VWs in the first place. And it is that same passion that is shared by Tim and his crew.

When you visit the facility you will be amazed by the cleanliness, the personnel and friendly environment. It is easy to see that Tim puts thought into everything he does. And with my 15+ years of experience as a customer, I can tell you that that is true and has been consistent the entire time.

This week Tim and his crew are bringing new life to my aging VW GTI VR6. They have extended the life of my GTI several times now. I can still drive it hard and not worry. Beach House has my back.

As I look towards my next new car purchase (maybe an S5?), you can bet that it will be an Audi and it will be serviced by Beach House Imports in Costa Mesa. Lucky for me they are right down the street. Every time I drive by I look in and smile, knowing that in there, is a team of guys that really like what they do, are passionate about Audis and Volkswagens, and that will never change.

The guys at Beach House are the best. They are very fair with their pricing and always look after my Audi S6, my second Audi, as if it is their own. Been coming here for a good part of a decade and wouldn't think of. Going anywhere else. And their growing, and that says something....Richard Van Dyke

For years I had been taking my older model Audi??s to Beach House Imports for service and repair. Tim and his crew always treat me great, kept my cars in great shape and kept my budget in check.

Then in 2003 I purchased a new VW GTI VR6. I had always wanted one and this was the last model in that body style with a VR6 engine and the first with a 200 HP. Repairs were handled by the dealer under the manufacturers?? warranty, so I didn??t have a reason to take it to Beach House Imports during that time. But I began to see a pattern with the dealers?? service and repairs. Every time I took it in, something else would break. When I reported problems, such as a shimmy in the steering wheel during deceleration, or the smell of exhaust in the cabin, they could find nothing wrong, and then something else would break.

I made sure to take the car in one last time before the 5 year warranty expired, and as expected the dealer found no problems that would explain the exhaust smell in the cabin of the car or the now wobbly steering when decelerating.

I kept driving the car until I just couldn??t stand the exhaust smell anymore, and remembered my old Audi mechanic. I dropped it off at Beach House Imports to be inspected. I didn??t mention the wobbly steering wheel, only the exhaust issue.

Tim quickly called me up and said that he found the problem with the exhaust smell. A plug had come out of the engine and exhaust was shooting out, plus the manifold has a bad seal. But there was more. He said the car was not safe to drive, even after he fixed those issues. The control arms for the front tires were completely shot and must be replaced.

What I like about Tim and his team is that they actually show you exactly what the issues are, and exactly how the part should be behaving. He saves the removed parts for inspection and lets you really understand what they are doing to repair your car.

So after receiving the car back, now finally repaired by a professional mechanic, all the problems I had are completely gone. It??s like the car is brand new again. But then Tim went one step further, and gave me a breakdown of the items that are wearing and will need to be replaced in the near future, and what the approximate costs will be so I can budget for them.

If you ask the dealer to provide the same information, they will give you a print out from the manufacturer that may or may not have any relevance to your specific car. And, these are the same people that could not find a hole in my engine where a supposedly permanent plug had popped out and was shooting exhaust out of it like a jet engine. Seriously? So, while I absolutely don??t recommend the VW dealership in southern Orange County, I do recommend Beach House Imports in Costa Mesa.

I have been taking my Audis to Tim and his team for many years and they have always provided excellent service at a fair price. They even put up with my UrQ. If it wasn't for this group of experts, it would be very difficult to keep "older" (out of warranty) Audis in top shape (at least in Orange County).

I was tired of paying the high prices to take in my VW to the dealer for servicing and decided to try an independent shop. I definitely got lucky with this one. It's a well maintained auto repair that specializes in Audis and VWs. The service was amazing I took my car in at 5:30pm on Friday and it was ready about 2:30 on Saturday! It was half the price too!! Ask for Tim and you won't be sorry!
