My favorite place to go in town, but some of the dishes are not as great as others but when you do find something you like, you will be addicted. The beans are some of the best I have ever had. Staff is wonderful and although off the beaten path, well worth finding.

We live in Mammoth and always plan trips to Bishop around going to Las Palmas. The food are service are great. The atmosphere is standard Mexican, but unique in the number of world class climbers and outdoor adventurists eating there. They share parking lot with Mountain of Light gallery. Be sure to do both.

We were snowed out of Mammoth for the night, and asked a local where we could get some decent food. The woman recommended Las Palmas, and we couldn't have been happier. You will never find it just trolling along the main drag. This little treasure requires a turn off Main St. which is something most people aren't willing to do. The food is just simply excellent. I had the chicken burrito, and it ranked among the best. The rest of the family also raved about their food, and topped off with a couple of Coronas made for a perfect evening. This restaurant is "old school". You'll find family members (children) hanging around, and the wait staff ready to get you whatever you need without having to ask twice. It makes for comfortable tasty meal. Go there and see for yourself.

GREAT FOOD. Can not get enough of the bean and cheese burrito. It is so good. I know that is simple, but why try anything else. They are so nice here too! They have lots of regulars and like to chat with customers. It is family ran and everyone pitches in to make this a nice dinning experience. They also have a salsa bar that is very good and the chips are good too. The live climbing plants are also a great touch.

PROS: Good food, great service, family setting.
CONS: Not visable from the main drag in town so is a hidden treasure.
