Wonderful school I have had 2 children in this school for a total of 6 years. We looked at all the other Cooperative schools in the area and this was the best. This is a Parent run Pre-school so you get out of it what you put in. If you want to be involved in your child??s education this is the place.

Creative Play is a preschool run by parents who teach there and are only concerned with their own well-being. Teresa is a fake who intimidated my son and treated him poorly when I wasn't around. There is no leadership to speak of, even though "Kris" is in charge, she is best friends with Teresa and does not have any clue as to how to be an administrator. So many parents have left this program in the last few years that they are desperate for children and will do anything to get them in but it is all talk and there is so little program it is pathetic.

We are in our second year at CPC and we love it. I have found the teachers & parents so warm and welcoming. There is a strong feeling of support for each other and the teachers are great resources. The outside play area, shaded sand area and animals are the best, no other school can compare. The school has SO much to offer the kids and families~

This is my child's first year in the school, and even though I like the teacher a lot and I do feel included in the mom-groups, I just don't feel that their character issues are addressed and stressed enough. My child has come home with a bunch of new unacceptable behaviours. My child enjoys the school but, I guess I expect more from a pre school. The play area is GREAT and the kids seem to have a good time.I'm not crazy about the curriculum either. Would love more focus on education, it can definitely be done through play, but I feel there is all play and very little else.

I have been a member of the CPC community for over 5 years. I can't say enough great things about the school. I researched many schools in the area prior to enrolling my children at Creative Play.

I love the teachers and both of my children had positive, experiences at the school. I was surprised to read the review from the parent who felt excluded. My experience has been the polar opposite! I have loved being a part of the community and felt that the Orientation Team, Teachers, and other parents welcomed our family with open arms. CPC has become a 2nd family for us.

And let's not forget about...
the chickens, fish, rabbits, guinea pigs and extraordinary outside play area. Another perk is the price. Although, a co-op requires a commitment of time, the price is fantastic. I actually looked at other places for my 2nd son. I would have actually ended up paying more money for a school I did not like nearly as much as Creative Play Center. I am so happy I decided to stay. Whatever was I thinking?????

You will give your child a wonderful gift by enrolling him or her in this school.

I was just about to end this commentary but had to include this.

For the 20th + time today my child has asked me, "When is it time for me to go to school?" This pretty much says it all.

I am so disappointed by the other review disparaging this wonderful school. My son is in his second year at the school and we've had the best experience. I approached a teacher who wasn't even my son's teacher as a resource to get assistance for my older child (who never attended the school). The teacher went above and beyond in providing referrals. The school's teachers have strong backgrounds in early childhood development and target their curriculum to meet the kids' developmental needs. My older child attended a different preschool, so I know the differences in quality out there. Even though my older child's preschool was a good experience, this one has been exceptional.

Given that this is a cooperative preschool, you get out of it what you put into it. I've never found the other moms to be snobby. We are all at a cooperative for the same reasons and we share a commitment to our children and the school.

I think it's a bit much to expect that a nonprofit preschool would hire a private psychiatrist to address the needs of one child. The teachers can provide referrals to good resources to address any special needs a child might have. A family should expect to pay out of pocket to address those needs.

I don't recommend this school. It's a co-op and the mom's are not very supportive. It's my first year there and it will be my last. The other moms hardly even talk to me. It's like they have their own little group and didn't want me in it. They didn't make me feel very welcome. I talked to this other mom that went last year and she felt the same way. They didn't even refund her the money for the 1st and 2ND monthly tuition. She has a challenging son and had to take him out of the school because they were not willing to work with the mom in terms of bringing in a psychologist to evaluate him. The moms and the teacher were not very supportive. She is very disappointed in the school and so am I. We feel like the moms are very snobby. They make this big deal about the school being all about the kids when they don't even support each other. I'm definitely looking around for next year.
