F U R T H E R P R O O F THAT THERE ARE MANY INCORRECTLY INFORMED and IGNORANT PEOPLE LIKE bob h. who write reviews about businesses such as Pacific Audio without doing their homework! It is a fact that this location did have many problems in the past with its previous owner. However this is not the same shop as before. It is owned by someone intirely different and a completely new inventory of product for which they are authorized to carry. Since the new ownership opened its doors it successfully assists a daily average of 2 to 3 old Pacific Stereo customers in resolving installation problems and some warranty issues.
We as employees at our place of work must abide by their spicific rules and business practices, it is required of us to do so. Brian does work for Pacific Audio, but he now works under their business ethnics and not of Pacific Stereo's.
I personally am a dedicated customer of Pacific Audio's other store. It has been in business for over 18 years and I can not say anything negative about their Customer Service. I send all my Family and friends to them.

my name is jim gonzalez and i have to say that i also had a bad experience with pacific stereo but now that the new owners took over i came back with a previous problem from pacific stereo and pacific audio took care of me promptly and professionally .the new owner has been in business for over 20 years at a different store and know how to take care of costomers i have nothing but good to say about the new pacific audio store

The business is now under a new name of PACIFIC AUDIO, Brain is still there and the same cheap product is still there. the name has only changed. buyer be aware DONT BUY ANYTHING FROM THIS STORE, they had problems paying their rent and the owner had to shut them down, plux they had many complaints about their business practice, so they change their name, and had placed a new sign UNDER NEW MANAGEMENT a bunch of bull Sh**,, Buyer beaware if you buy your just thorwing your money out the window, you might as well give it to some street bum on the street, or you could go to a place like best buy or a better stereo place and get your money worth for the product your pruchased. REMEMBER YOU GET WHAT YOU PAID FOR..

brain helped me get my navigation system in my new truck , i spent over $2000 and had to go back 4 times to have the installation corrected . They acted like they were doing me a favor by fixing there poor work and then Brain would make appointments and not even be there . I finally had to go to someone else and have it corrected . I WOULD NEVER SEND ANYONE TO THIS PLACE BUYER BEWARE !!!!

I just walked in Pacific Stereo in Lakewood and I purchased a DVD player and radio. When I walked in they treated me very nice and once they installed the equipment into my car, less then a minute the DVD player had this really loud noise so I took it back and told the manager Brian to fix it after I was there for more then 5 hours. I set an apointment to go back and then they worked on my car another 5 hours and I still had problems.Brian set another appointment for another day and then I came back when I arrived I told brian that I just wanted my money back and return his equipment and he replyed I cant refund you anything only exchange for something else and he told me to chose whatever I wanted to resolve the issue .Talking to Brian I told him what I wanted to resolve this problem and then he said yes I can give you the stereo with dvd player and another dvd player in the back , but you have to give me 250 dollars more. I told him his was crazy because it was his problem if they couldnt fix the issue he aggravated me and told me that my car was the issue and that I had a Lemon Car. He just told me to bring another day the car but I told him I dont have time and I told him then I will see you in court and he said I dont care am not afriad and am not going to pay you anything. He kicked me out of his store and told me to get out. He mistreated me and told me he didnt care about nothing. Brian is a Middle Eastern person that he just likes to rob people that doesnt have a clue but am going to take him to court because his crucked and doesnt care about his customers.

I had recently purchased all of my stereo equipment from them and a few months later got it all stolen. " Everything " so I go to them and purchase a medium grade ken-wood head unit so at least i have tunes. First off I was over charged 100.00 for it (my stupidity) but still 2ND. when your a new costumer they ask you for your address and I didn't think about it till that day...why do they need my address they don't send anything in the mail...they want so they can come and jack you stereo one day if they want. Very few places ask for your complete address. That is a big time giveaway so beware if you go to that Mid-eastern pie hole of a shop do not give out your address and research what it is you want. How do they sleep at night know that they are P.O.S. scandalous, mindless cheats...as a company you always want return customers right? Right! there motto is " A sucker is born everyday " So they will sell or Finance someone(24%) knowing that the kid will not pay it and just reap the benefit's. RRRRRRRrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr I hate them

I went in Pacific Stereo excited about purchasing some new rims and it was a total Night Mare on Elm Street I thought i was dreaming. Brian first off started off nice and friendly then he then became the ass hole he really is. He gave everyone a 9:00 appointment because it is 1st come first serve basis. We didn't know and he promise you things that he can't deliver. He advertise in the penny saver 2 yr.no payment 2yr.of 0- financing up to 25,000 on approved credit that was a joke. I told Brian about the advertisement called the bank whom finances this company for people who want finance to let them now about the advertising in the Penny Saver the bank is just as guilty as the merchant they said that we are not honoring any promotional advertising that was advertised in the penny saver.Then I had problems with my music took it back to them they did nothing about it remind you I just purchased less than a week ago. His words were and I Quote.. "Every Thing is fine". After a long night mare with these people I cursed him out and took my car some where. This idiot will see me in court. .So I STRONGLY ADVISE ANY ONE THAT DON'T WANT TO BE TAKEN TO THE CLEANERS BY THIS COMPANY (PACIFIC STEREO LAKEWOOD, CA) NOT TO TRADE WITH THESE PEOPLE THE COMPANY IS NOT RIGHT.

last week I took my truck in for a stereo. It has been at least 10 years since I bought a new car stereo, so I did a little research.After finding the system I wanted, I started shopping around.I checked a few local places but they didn't have what I was looking for. I then went to the store my dad recommended, it was Pacific stereo.I was greeted by Brian and we started talking shop. He offered a price ,and I knew how much I could get it for on line and it was pretty close and saved the hassle of shipping/install/etc. Worked in some speakers for a decent deal too. Install happened that day, maybe 4 hours on a Friday afternoon.I would have liked to see more prices visible on the items for sale but other than that not that bad overall. I do have some minor fixes that need to be done though. The Mic from the on board blue tooth and GPS antennae are loose. Thats not really an issue. I will get in later this week to have them correct it.I know Brian reads these reviews and takes them very seriously.Assuming their service will be the same, I would definitely be a return customer.

I went to get an alarm system installed in my vehicle on Friday and the manager schedule me for a 9 a.m. appointment. Well apparently he scheduled everyone for 9 a.m. He told me it would be ready by noon and when I called at noon they hadn't even taken a look at my vehicle. I didn't end up getting my vehicle till after 7 p.m. and all the features of the alarm weren't installed, I couldn't pop the trunk with the remote, apparently that requires extra work and parts. A few months down the line the alarm almost ruined my starter, the car would act as if the alarm was set and wouldn't start at all, I had to wait for almost 30 minutes before actually starting the car at times. Needless to say, I wouldn't take my money or vehicle to this Pacific Stereo.

I went over this weekend to fix (re-fix I've gone 5 times) the sound system in my truck which I spent over 3K on. The store manager "Brian" was one of the rudest middle eastern people I have ever met. He said he didn't have time to look at a system that was out of warranty until I finally explained that I was willing to pay for parts and labor if he would simply look at it. He sent me away and told me to come in on Sunday at 09:00 and he'd have me "In and out". It took him 1 hour and 40 minutes fix my sound system which in turn failed 4 hours later. When I called him back stating that I would return for him to finish the job/do the job right he said he was too busy and to "come back sometime next week". I then told him that I would simply find another place to fix the sound system but if he could please refund me my money to which his response was "that will never happen". I then got the issue fixed at another store from someone who wasn't even the sound technician in less than 60 seconds and he charged me nothing for it. I strongly urge anyone who considers going to the store to make a 90 degree turn and drive yourself somewhere else.

Pros: They have a big screen TV in their lounge you can watch while you're waiting for "Brian" (the store manager) to mistreat you

Cons: Pretty much everything. The biggest being that they haven't fired the store manager yet.

Let's start off by saying, "if you have to ask how much it costs, you can't afford it." With that said, Pacific Stereo put a state-of-the-art top of the line competition multimedia component in the vehicle. For security purposes I will not identify the car. It took 3 days to get the components in and it still has to have adjustments but this is the very best I have ever heard in a vehicle. The speakers, cross-overs, and amps are all the very best JL Audio (13W7 subwoofer; ZR Series midrange and tweeters, 1000 watt amp bridged @ 1.5 ohms; 300/4v2 amp) , and the head unit, monitors, and bluetooth are all top of the line Alpine (IVA-W505 Multimedia Unit, KCE-300BT Bluetooth Interface), an extra monitor in the visor, remotes for the head unit and monitors and the windows were tinted. This system truly shakes houses! Their staff have been just great! As a bonus, they gave me one of those special high amp car batteries and it handle the system well. They assured me that they will fix any problem that comes up. They prove d it by re-tinting the vehicle windows because there were some very small bubbles under the tinting on the side and rear windows. If you want the top-of-the-line, kick-butt system, I recommend Pacific Stereo Lakewood.

I had my windows tinted on my scion tc and they did a wonderful job, I was very pleased. They were very helpful with helping me choose the tint that would look the best on my car. Their prices were reasonable, and they DID NOT have any surprise fees added on to the total(in my case that is). I felt very comfortable with them working on my car, they did a great job! also my car was ready when they told me it would be done. *I absolutely recommend them to others that want quality work done to their vehicles.*

you buy something and they just add on so it doesn't cost anything close to what they said, nothing is priced so they can make you think you are getting a good deal.but all they are doing is ripping you off, there technicians are not that great at installing equipment

This store is really cool because they sell a wide variety of car electronics. They have a lot of name brand electronics at pretty decent prices. The staff here is great and very helpful. I got a better deal on some items else where but this place is pretty decent. Parking was no problem.

Pacific Stereo probably is the worst place to get anything done. Their installation is okay at best. They don't guarantee anything to work, even if you just walk out the door. I saw a man who just got his alarm install and it went crazy and won't stop going, they blame on him for not putting another $25 to buy warranty. They jack up and add all sort of fee when you want something in their ad. For example, an alarm they advisement in the penny saver for $99 turn into $359 with all sorts of fee. They will never get my business.
