Bette's Oceanview Diner

If you want to experience the delicious food at Bette's, get there very early in the morning. When they first open is about the only way to get seated without waiting more than an hour. The wait is a testimony to their good food and decent service. Just be prepared!

this place is SMALL and PACKED, but for good reason. Breakfast is really good, like a home cooked meal quality - not ihop kitchen quality [even though i still like ihop]. very casual in contrast to the rest of 4th street.

This is the next-door to-go mini- version of Bette's Diner... The lines are so long and it is so frustrating to get your stuff quickly. They don't have everything offered next door, but they do have some pastries that are not offered at the original.

Fantastic pancakes, lox scrambles are wonderful, and the specials of the day are not to be missed. This is really great breakfast food with that informal feel of a diner but really top notch food and service.
