Applebee's Neighborhood Grill

this place is the same as any other resturant. they have basically the same menu as tgif and dennys. they have a good menu for drinks though but overall it is ok

PROS: good variety of mixed drinks
CONS: not a good menu to order from

applebees is supposed to be a high quality restaurant, but it turns out that it isn't what i expected of it. the staff are so friendly and waitors are fast at getting the food and delivering it. the meals are big, but they aren't that good compared to other restaurants. the prices are average. i don't like this store that much.

The food to pretty good, nothing great but they do have nice size portions. They have nothing on TGIF's. The staff is always friendly here, no problem asking for substitutions or
extras. However, I always seems to have to wait to place my order. I don't think they have a good server per table ratio.

I always have a good time when we eat at Applebee's. The wait staff is usually very friendly and helpful. The place cam be pretty crowded on the weekends, but that is because it's so popular. Crayons and colorable kids menu is provided for children and sometimes there is even a balloon artist roaming the restaurant making balloon animals for whoever wants one. This is one of my family's favorite places of eat.

What's so great about this place? I assumed it would be another TGIF or Chili's but it's just not as good. I have gone to Applebee's in two different states and at least four times and haven't received a good meal at any of these times. I thought it was just me, but my friends have not had a good meal here either.

The Riblets (which is supposed to be one of their favorites) were dry and chalky. Hard to have bad ribs when they're right next to Tony Roma's in Saratoga. I've had their steak and shrimp special at one time and the steak was just gross. It had a texture of airplane food, I guess like pre-made food that got heated up in the back. The shrimp was OK.

The prices are compariable to Chili's and their service is about the same. But the food just stinks. Perhaps I'm missing something. I used to like that they would give a great salad before every meal, but I think they stopped that now. So really there isn't much to like about applebees.
