This place specializes in breakfast and the food is always tasty and filling. It has a friendly family atmoshpere and they always remember your name (kind of like Cheers). The family always enjoys going here for breakfast on Sunday morning.

So everyone was hyping John O'Groats as the brunch place in the Rancho Park area. And indeed it may be, but that merely speaks to the lack of brunch options in that neighborhood. While the staff is definitely friendly and hospitable - the host is super nice - the food is about as average as you can get. It's no better than a standard diner and in fact, it's probably worse. My friends raved about the coconut macadamia pancakes so we ordered one for the table and they tasted totally machine-made. The coffee, which is the most important item for a brunch place, was basically undrinkable. Do yourself a favor and head over to Juniors instead.

PROS: They serve food, brunch
CONS: It ain't that great

Imagine...not only do you get the best breakfast in town, but waitresses that come to know you by name and know your order if you go in enough ! The eggs, omelettes are supreme. The blueberry-pecan pancakes and pecan waffles are ethereal. The veggie hash is awesome. The bacon is the best in the city. The orange juice is REAL fresh squezzed. The fresh baked biscuits are worth dying for...if that's not enough, the Fish and chips is the best in town ! The only drawback is the potentially long wait especially on weekends...but it is SO WORTH WAITING FOR !

PROS: Great food, reasonable prices.
CONS: Long waits on weekends ( potentially)
