Wow. I havent been bowling for a while and i decided to go with my brother so we can spend some time together. I read the reviews about the bad service but i thought "how bad could it be, its just a bowling alley." The customer service was HORRIBLE. The manager is a thief. After bowling, i asked to play pool. She said it was $5 for 30 minutes or $10 for a hour. I said i wanted to play for 30 minutes. 10 minutes through our game, we had trouble with our equipment. I went to tell her and she said bring your equipment back and we'll give you new ones. By the time we got the equipment back and she was free to give us new ones, a half hour had passed. But we only played for 10 minutes and she wanted to charge us for the whole half hour. Why would I have to pay because their equipment is old and got stuck? We got in a huge argument, and disturbed all the customers, over $5 dollars. She pretended she was calling the cops to scare me but that was a bluff. I went there to have fun, and i ended up leaving irritated and frustrated. Customer service should be the number 1 priority, but for them its the last.

After reading the negative reviews I was a little worried about taking our sons to Napa Bowl but they had been wanting to bowl for awhile. We went last Sunday with friends, the staff was just OK (not super-friendly). But the place is a fine bowling alley, the shoes were clean, the equipment worked, the pizza was good. We overestimated how much bowling our kids would want to do and paid for 2 games. When they pooped out after 1 we were refused a refund. I called the owner the next day and he could not have been more nice. He immediately refunded our money for the second game and gave us vouchers for free shoes on our next visit. We will be back for more bowling this Winter and I recommend it for others looking for a good time.

February 2009 - Never have I ever had such a horrible bowling experience. We arrived and needed two lanes. They said the wait would be about 15-20 minutes. We understood that, so we went in to play some pool. Twenty minutes later we went to the counter to ask them how much longer, they said 15-20 minutes. We were starting to get a little frustrated at this point. We went to sit and watch the other people have fun. Two lanes on the end opened up and we asked if we could take them, they said "no" because we couldn't play next to a league, there had to be lane separating us. After watching countless groups go up and buy new games, two people sharing two lanes, and people just sitting at their lanes hanging out, 5 lanes cleared up, in the middle not next to the league....two hours later (not an exaggeration). We go up to the counter to pay and get our shoes. The people ignored us for 5 minutes and were extremely rude. I have never seen such bad customer service in my life. We finally get to our lane and I bend down to see how to put the bumbers up and an employee yells at me saying "can't you read?" I would have been able to see that sign if you gave me 2 seconds to bend down and read it. I would give them 0/5 stars. Never will I go back unlcess I am desperate, for some strange reason. If they would have been honest with us by saying that they didn't know how long it would take, or let us know how long it could take, I would have dealt with the crappy customer service.

i notice the Manager on duty, Rich to be a theif. On one of the partys I paid cash over 200.000 dollars and watched him pocket the money. The next party I had I made sure to ask for a recipt or a party slip or something to prove for my own records and was told that, they dont give those out. I paid cash again, and once again right in front of my eyes he pocketed the money! I dont know who the owner of this place is, but I am a retired police officer and I find it very offensive, No wonder the place is going down hill,. I have called numerous times and still was unable to speak with the owner about this matter.

I usually do not pull the ?Race Card? but I could not find another explanation. There are several other bowling alleys in the Napa area; Please avoid this establishment. Thanks.
