Well trained excellent staff provide all children good opportunity to learn and be confident. Montessori day care program also encourages a child to be more creative with the activity they do.

My son has been at this school since he was 4 months old. He has progressed through the schools curriculum with good results, and up until recently we were pleased with the curriculum and environment.
However, in late Jan. 09 he came home and told my husband that one of the teachers had put tape on his mouth because he was talking too much and being bad. Needless to say I was quite upset. I called and spoke to the Director who claimed that the teacher didn't actually put tape on his mouth, she just threatened to put tape on his mouth. While the were sufficiently apologetic to me and him, this was extremely inappropriate and troubling for us as parents. If this happened, I can't imagine what else may have happened that he didn't share. We thought about moving him to another classroom, but he was already in the best of the 2 rooms, with the most experienced head teacher.
Later the same week, each parent was give an acknowledgement to sign stating that we had been informed that the school had been given a citation by the Community Care Licensing Bureau for allowing someone with a criminal background to be employed at the center.
That was really the last straw for us and we began looking for better options in the area. I'm truly disappointed with our recent experiences with the school because the curriculum is wonderful.

Both of our children, ages 4 & 5 have attended this school since they were infants. Our daughter, who is older, is currently in the Evergreen Room where she has excelled in socialization skills and education. Mrs. JoAnn has instilled on my daughter the respect that any child should have for her teacher. Their rule against having siblings in the same room prevented us from having our son attend the same classroom. As our son was assigned to the Sequoia room, we faced a difficult decision of foresaking one childs education for another. Sadlly, our decision not to remove our daughter left us with a child who is charming and cute (and has been told so by his teachers too many times) but who has no respect whatsoever for his teachers and who is behind in his education. The room has teachers who are inexperienced, and is overcrowded with 64 students (which we did not realize when we enrolled our son). Coupled with the lack of communication between staff, the director, and parents we are faced with a child who is always getting into trouble for not following rules which behaviour, only a year earlier, was seen as cute by the same teachers. He thinks some of his teachers do not like him and tells me that he is trying not to be "bad." A meeting with the unannounced new Principal, Ms. Yasmeen, revealed that the teachers are afraid of my four-year old and so they do not disciplinie him (or teach him) it seems the difference between being respectful and not. I am sure none of this would have happened if he were in the other room. I thought that Montessori program was supposed to teach the level commensurate with the child, apparently it only applies to children who are linear but not to creative thinkers. Their inabiility to teach outside of the box to reach my child is lost on their inexperience. Hopefully this will be the lesson they need to get it together. It is a hard lesson to learn for my son who is left without goodbyes to his classmates of four years.

My daughter started going here when she was one year old. She loves to go to school and is very happy and has learnt good habits and manners.

The teachers are very affectionate and caring.

I would highly recommend this school to anyone.

Only down side is...space is very less and its little dark.

My cousin goes to this place and I think that it's very good for her. They encourage her to play nwith other students and to be more and more outgoing. I think that the teachers are great and the environment is very nice and I would definatly recommend this place.

I am impressed with her imaginative curriculum, ability to do so much with so few supplies made available and loving and concerned nature. I can't say enough about a few of the long term employees who seem to go above and beyond and need to be applauded!

PROS: Teachers, Cost
CONS: Disorganized Managment

My cousin went to this particular Montessori Childrens Center and his parents praised the school for being very heavy on learn through play theory. They loved the instructors who seemed very child-friendly and extrememly passionate about being teachers. And now my cousin is really doing well in Elementary school after being at Montessori Childrens Center.

I love Montessori! I went there when I was a little kid and my daughter goes there now. The teachers are extremely nice and Montessori emphasizes a lot on education. All the kids have fun and even though the prices may be a little high, I believe it's definetely worth it!
