I've been to many gyms before and this is definitely not your ordinary gym. The place looks a lot larger from the inside with raquetball courts, a basketball area, a table tennis room, separate mens', womens', and co-ed workout area, separate sauna and jacuzzi.

I heard a lot of great things about their fitness instructors from other members, but I had to check it out for myself. I met with the personal trainer and apparently he is a well-known chiropractor who has worked in the major leagues and in the NFL. One guy whose been a member for 30 years said after he started working with the personal trainer this year, he got rid of his walker and cane within a few weeks. The consultations are free and I would highly recommend meeting with a trainer before you start.

Everyone else on the front desk is nice, but Donna is unfriendly and rude. I mean, all you want to do is scan your card, get your towel, and move on to your workout unfettered.
But Donna does her prison guard routine. Then, after consulting her computer, turns out to be wrong. She is unapologetic about the whole thing.
I deal with snotty people all the time, but give me a break. The gorilla, 24 Hour Fitness, is opening a new location in Arcadia up the street on 1st Avenue. Shouldn't Arcadia Fitness being doing it a little nicer? I mean, today, there isn't an alternative but competition is around the corner.
To put this all in perspective, the rest of the staff is fine. Helpful and friendly, even. But Donna- she shouldn't be at the front desk. I've run retail before, and for customer facing people you don't want sour people representing your firm.

PROS: No contracts, month to month
CONS: They allow rude employees like Donna to work there

I just joined Arcadia All Pro and I love it. It is a bit pricey for a gym but it is more like a fitness club, there is an indoor pool, sona, steam rooms and a private workout area for men and one for the ladies, there is also a unisex workout room. They offer all types of free classes t members and not alot of places have all the classes they offer. You can bring a non member friend to workout and all they have to do is pay $10, now thats a deal:)

**NOTE: This gym is now called Arcadia Fitness.**

This gym offers so much for your money. It is a two-story building with racquet and basketball courts, an indoor swimming pool, a weight room, a separate workout room for women (which I LOVE -- most gyms don't offer this), a workout room for men/women, a cafe/karaoke bar upstairs, several rooms for classes, saunas/spas, massage rooms, pilates, etc.

The staff is very friendly. The gym is under new ownership, and the new owners have put in a lot of nice equipment. The women's workout area is really improving, too.

When I signed up, no contract was required. I know the prices are incredibly low for the area.

PROS: Great value for your money, nice equipment, plenty of services offered
CONS: None!
