Fedex office is a 7/11 with a few copiers scattered about.
The employees are miserable because they have three managers
for every employee. This creates an abusive, apathetic attitude towards the customer if not fellow employees. The manager at
the Mira Mesa store comes to mind when speaking of these
experiences.
I've gone in here more times then I can count and each time I leave angry and annoyed. Once they wouldn't tell me how to make a picture larger because it was a "copy-writed" photo, a photo I had copied at the library, from a book thats out of print. They didn't care they wouldn't help. Another to make a photo larger which they messed up and charged me $4 for 1 print, which I didn't pay.Did I mention I stood there for 10 min meanwhile? All the times Ive asked for help they are so unwilling to help I feel like I should apologize for asking for their help. Yes they're close to my home and more convenient then other Kinkos, but I'd rather inconvenience myself then have to put up with the bad employees.
While I have always had good service from Fedex Kinkos, THIS particular store is absolutely horrid. The people who work there are extremely unwilling to help. You can smile at them and be cheery all you want and they just glare at you. I have had unwilling service from them 80% of the time I've been there. I keep going back simply because it's the closest to my house. However, this last time is the last straw. I will never be going back to this store again, and in fact have called Fedex Corporate to complain.
PROS: They have decent copiers
CONS: They treat you like you're there only to piss them off
Once, I got home late and had to send out a package by the next day. Luckily, FedEx Kinkos was there for me. I went near midnight and they were STILL OPEN! I came in, did my business, there were people to help me, and we were all happy with the outcome. Its such a nice atmosphere and you can get your things done fast there.
I'm so happy that FedEx and Kinkos have merged. Have something you need to copy and send out? Need to send out a package? Need to get some other business items done near midnight? This place knows your needs and is open to midnight and sometimes even later. The friendly and sometimes helpful serivce make this a great place to get your extra work done.
Ok so it was a Thursday night around 1 A.M. and it suddenly dawned on me that I needed to make copies for my presentation at school the next day. I freaked out but then realized that Kinko's is open 24hrs a day. I used to always wonder why they would be open so long and that was the day I realized. It is really nice to know that there is a copy shop with cheap prices for prints open all the time.
If you ever need to get something copied (such as homework) for any reason, Kinkos is the place to go. They have excellent prices. I also got my passport pictures taken here and they turned out great. They have quick and efficient forms of payment with little cards you can put cash on and get however many copies you want.
Although I don't like buying from corporate stores, I like Kinko's. Doing copies is pretty simple if you want to do it by your self. You can buy a copy card and then copy any time you want with it again, if you card still has a balance. I prefer this store over some local places because it seems ridiculous to pay high prices for just copies. They also do other kinds of copies such as overheads which are cool.
Not too long ago I was doing business in San Diego. I had to fax specs to a company in New York and if they approved I had to Fed Ex the item to them. It was so easy with the NEW KINKO's and FED EX Stores. I could have done the work myself, but for the little extra money it costs, it was worth it for them to do all the work for me. I just had to sit back and wait for a few minutes. I really do like the workstations there.
PROS: So convienien when I am on the road
CONS: A little pricey, but when on the road it is a great portable office
