I did extensive research on hair extensions and found that HairLocs was the way to go for its low-maintenance, versatility, and a completely natural look. I came across Beri Halouska- a specialist with HairLocs and after one consultation, I have happily returned to her again and again. Not only is she very sweet, funny, and smart- Beri has a great eye for aesthetics/beauty but a very high standard of professionalism as well. She is efficient and skilled but she also takes time to listen and perfect her work.
I am a low- maintenance girl but Beri and HairLocs has made it so easy for me. Hair extensions are like a complete makeover and I am completely satisfied and happy with my hair. (Finally!).

I've been looking for the perfect color specialist for the past 2 years. My friend referred me to Caitlin Richardson at Lauren's salon . I have to be honest, I didn't know what to expect when I walked in. From my past experiences, most color specialists are all the same. You tell them what you want and they "DO WHAT THEY WANT".
Not Caitlin. I liked her from the beginning. She has great energy and a can do attitude. My hair was really damaged and needed major color correction.
First off- she took the time to get to know me a bit, my personality and then her mind was creating a beautiful image.
Second- She educated me about the different colors I chose and what she need to do to get me "MY" end results.
Third- As she went to town on the foils and colors, she explained the pattern and walked me thru the whole process.
At this point, I could relax because I could see she knew exactly what she was doing.
I'm excited I finally found what I've been looking for "the goddess of blonde color" and my hair is beautiful once again.

I just moved from a small town and made endless calls to friends that could recommend a blonde specialist in Los Angeles. I was referred to Caitlyn Richardson. She immediately recognized my need for good hair color and did not scold me for using a bottle on my last attempt at color. Caitlyn certainly knows her craft. My hair color is now a spectacular blonde and requires little maintenance because of the technique she used to process my hair. She even took the time to follow-up with me to see if I had any questions. As for the salon, it has a comfortable environment with absolutely no pretentious attitude. I was treated as if it was my special day. I highly recommend Caitlyn and Lauren's Salon to anyone that is looking for the Holy Grail of hair color and look forward to my next visit.

After a long and painful search for a place in LA to get my haircut, I've fallen in love with Lauren's. The service is top notch, the experience is most enjoyable, and the haircut exceeds my expectatoins. I felt welcome the moment I walked through the door. Everyone was charming and friendly. By LA standards, the prices are reasonable. I could almost "just hang out" at this place!! I don't know what else to say, except thanks to Lauren for creating an experience that I always look forward to!.

I feel young and carefree....just like I used to when I had that natural blonde (without grey). My highlights are the best! I always get compliments from my friends.

Thanks to my hairdresser Victor, I know my color is going to pop and even my hair texture is clean and without that frizzy look. (as for the cut...he never cuts too much (thank you!) The style is today! For me (I'm in cosmetics...I have to look great for my beautiful customers.

I love my guy Victor. He's my saving grace!

I walked into Lauren’s Hair Salon expecting to get a consultation, quoted a ridiculous price, and walk away in disappointment…like all the rest in LA. Although I live in Los Angeles, I’m a struggling College student who goes to sleep early because I can’t afford to buy coffee every morning. I, however, have destroyed my hair: I bleached it, dyed it multiple colors for 4 years, and then covered it with black. So when I walked into the salon, Caitlin checked out my hair. She knew everything by just looking at my hair.. I left a new person, with hair that was JUST what I wanted. I’ve never had anyone take more time and consideration for what I wanted with my hair before. Caitlin really has a good sense of what people want, and if you don’t like anything you could tell her, she’s easy going and understanding. If you want someone to get the job right go to Caitlin. I could have closed my eyes through the whole thing and never doubt her work…she’s a true artist. I hope you find this review helpful…and trust me when I say she’s a gem hidden in the nook of LA.

Caitlin is great. I recently moved to LA and a friend of mine referred me to her and she is honestly the best stylist. My hair is super damaged AND I have extensions - I was sooo worried to go to someone new and now I wont let anyone else touch my hair! She does the type of extensions that dont damage your hair and dont use any glue or anything and she makes them look so natural - you literally cant tell your real hair apart from the extensions and no one would ever guess that you have them! She is also amazing with color - she literally did the best color I have ever had and it is three months grown out now and I am still getting compliments! I strongly reccomend Caitlin especially to anyone who is hesitant to see a new stylist - she really understands hair and is great at what she does.

It's taken me a while to find someone who actually knows what they're doing with curly hair, and I'm so glad I found Michelle! She made sure she understood exactly what I wanted and she explained everything she did (as opposed to some stylists I know who just go at it with checking with you). I wanted short, spunky curls and that is exactly what I got! I was planning on going home after my haircut, but decided to show off my new look at the mall instead : ) Michelle's a total sweetheart (along with the other people who work there) and I will definitely be going back!

Caitlin ROCKS! I was recommended by a friend to see Caitlin and I was anything but disappointed! I was hesitant to change my color, but took her advice and I am so glad I did! I went back a week later to have her do extensions and they are the best in Hollywood - by far! I get so many complements and no one ever knows I have them! I look like a total Cali girl, without being overdone!

I came to Caitlin for help with my lifeless curly hair and she really came through for me. She has changed the health of my hair because of her technique for applying color. My hair has gotten thicker because I have less breakage now. She has a great eye for color and was able to pick the right shade of blonde FOR ME. She also cuts my hair just right. Caitlin really knows her stuff!!!!!!!!!!

I recently moved back to LA and was having a hard time finding a stylist I was happy with, but when a friend recommended Isabell, my search was over! She managed to find the perfect color for me, and every time I leave the salon, my hair looks amazing. All the staff at Lauren's is very friendly and I always leave feeling pretty and pampered. All that, and the prices are reasonable, too! If you're looking for a stylist, give Isabell a try - you won't be disappointed!

Well i am rather picky when it comes to a sylist, so after moving to LA from Boston a little over 2 months ago I was super nervous about starting all over again. I spent a lot of time researching places online and came accross Laurens salon on citysearch which had so many amazing reviews that I had to give a call. Lauren herself called me back and asked me specifically what i was looking for and was super sweet. She put me in touch with Michelle, who also called to chat about my hair before the appointment. Going into my first appointment I was already comfortable and excited due to the amazing customer service I received just over the phone. Michelle did my color perfectly ( nice blonde highlights and a simple trim)..i was offered a discount of 20% off since i was a new client and was so happy with my hair i referred my other friend from Boston to Michelle. 2nd Hair appointment was saturday, i went in for something totally different..this time i was going darker and a short haircut, a bob cut..Michelle knew exactly the look i was going for and did an amazing job..i feel like i just had a makeover and to top it off that nigth I received so many compliments on my hair that I was just glowing with happiness. Thanks Michelle your the best!

I have been getting my hair cut and highlighted for years and when I moved to LA I didn't know where to begin to look for a new stylist. I saw a girl out at a bar that had fantastic color and cut and I asked her where she got it done- she told me Victor from Lauren's did it for her and that he was amazing. I can't tell you how right she was. Although I spent a little more here than I usually pay, it was worth every penny. I get so many compliments on my hair and I have never loved a haircut more. Not only that, but the cut lasts so long because the layers were done so well. He is the best and I will continue coming here and referring people to this salon for a very long time. I go to Lauren's to see my stylist, Jaime Yang. He is quite outstanding with hair and always gives me what I am looking for. He understands your needs and wont do anything rash even though it is the latest trend-- which is more than I can say for other stylists (ie. I recently went in after trying to grow my hair for over two years to tell Jaime I wanted it shorter. He politely but firmly talked me out of it for the reason of how hard I've worked-- and really I am glad he did). I feel like Jaime is an advocate for hair and not for his commission. He is also great with hair color and highlights. Try out Jaime- you cannot go wrong.

I have been getting my hair done by Jaime for over 2 years, and it just keeps getting better. He always understands exactly what I want. He is very professional, and a sweetheart! The staff at Lauren's salon are amazing! From their assistant who gives amazing head massages to Lauren (the owner) who introduced herself and was very friendly. The salon is very clean, and absolutely beautiful. If you want your hair color and cut to look fabulous, you must go to Jaime!!! I guarantee you will be satisfied!

Lauren's Salon is one of the friendliest salons I've ever been to. Victor who has been doing my hair for about 4 years is astounding. He is so precise and fast. I get many compliments on my color and cut. I've reffered a lot of my friends to Victor, and they are all very pleased with him as well. I was looking for a place to get my hair cut and came across this salon on citysearch. I read all of the comments and made my appointment. First, they were more than accommodating and were able to get me in right away. I was making a drastic change and was very nervous. I got 10 inches cut off so i could donate it. Victor was my hair stylist and he is truly talented. I let him do what he thought would look best since I was going from hair down to the middle of my back to above my shoulders. The cut turned out better than I could have ever hoped. I feel so confident with this new look and it is all thanks to Victor! I would highly recommend this salon if you are looking at getting your hair cut. I had a great experience.

In town from NY and desperately needed my hair colored and a brow wax. I chose Lauren's because the minute I called to book an appointment the person who answered was incredibly friendly and willing to book me an appointment at my convenience. I found out a few minutes later it was the owner herself, Lauren. From my consultation to the minute I walked out the door after my color and brow wax the customer service didn't stop. My brow wax was with Tamara (one of the best waxes I ever had) and my master colorist, Caitlin was amazing. It was like hanging out with a friend PLUS her ability to add and change texture to hair by way of color is genius. I had to cut the brassiness and make my highlights more natural. Caitlin went beyond to make me look and feel great! Thanks girl!

This is literally one of the best salons I have been to. It's clean, bright and cheerful, unpretentious, friendly and stylish. The staff is extremely talented and Lauren the salon owner is fabulous!

Okay, have you ever gotten a hair cut so good that you actually looked forward to seeing yourself in the mirror in the morning? Finally, I've found someone who cuts hair so incredibly well that I actually like the way my hair looks each and every day --- right up until the next cut! No more wrestling with excess product to make it work! With Victor's cuts, they practically fall into place on their own.

As a business professional who likes his fashion a little trendy, it's a bit of a tight rope to get something uniue without being too unconventional. Thanks to Victor, my hair is manageable, stylish, and with just the right amount of "edge" to make me feel unique, but not out of place in the workplace.

While waiting for my appointment in Lauren's Salon (clean contemporary look, great friendly crew) I've noticed some of Victor's female clients finishing up wtih him. They always look very "upscale" and have an aura of sophistication and style about them. I think that "company" says allot about Victor too. Though I know he specializes in women's color and cuts, Victor has always taken his time with me and always made me feel my absolute best. I strongly reccommend this guy to EVERYONE!

I am so thrilled to have FINALLY found Jamie at Lauren's Salon. He is, undoubtedly, the most talented hairstylist I have ever met.

I am a guy who has been trying to find an incredibly stylish & cutting edge haircut for YEARS in Los Angeles, and I have always had to settle for inferior haircuts. I even moved to Chicago for a year and got more stylish haircuts THERE (in the middle of the midwest) than I did in Los Angeles! How is that even possible?

Anyways, I spent the last few years in vain bouncing around from salon to salon, always settling for a mediocre cut. FINALLY -- thanks to the other reviews on CitySearch -- I stumbled upon Jamie at Lauren's salon and I couldn't be happier!

Seriously, Jamie GETS IT. He understands how to cut your hair so it looks AMAZING and so it complements your face PERFECTLY. He will give you a cut that is both stylish & cutting edge, and will give you excellent advice on what products to use and how to style your hair properly. My haircut is so great that I can style it multiple different ways: I can gel it up to look totally cutting edge for a nightclub, and I can style it down to look more conservative during a business meeting. TOTALLY AWESOME!

I got so many compliments on the first day of my new haircut with Jamie that I lost count. I was inspired enough by this haircut to post my first review on CitySearch about him.

I am now following Jamie for life wherever he may go! Sorry, Jamie, but you now have a stalker on your hands! ;-) Just kidding.

Do you want to be stopped on the street and asked "who does your hair?" Then head to Isabell Csaki at Lauren's Salon Spa. If I got stock in Apple everytime someone wanted to know my secret, I'd be a rich woman. I've been going to Isabell since I first moved to L.A. many moons ago, and she has trimmed and colored me to perfection. My hair is now one of my favorite features -- it's wasn't like this pre-Isabell, trust me. She is a great person to boot and the prices are bargains. Another bonus is the cool new environs -- very Zen and hotel spa-esque. Also request a yummy foot massage and/or manicure while Isabell transforms you. This is one of L.A.'s best kept secrets... actually, now that I think about it -- delete this entry. I want Isabell for myself and MY friends!

Isabell Csaki is the best colorist, that I have experienced in my entire life of coloring my picky hair. For the last 10 years Isabell colors my hair so luminous and natural, that literally women ask me on the street, who does my hair! I have recommended her to all my german blond girlfriends and all of them were stunned about that perfect skill on how to create the right color for every type of blond. Special haircuts with new techniques are custom made and only for you! I strongly recommend Isabelle for high maintaining blondies in this world!!!

I have been going to Jaime for color,cuts and up do's for 5 years now. He never lets me down, he is one of the actual few talented hairdresser's in Los Angeles. If you are going out to an event he will make you look like you came off a cover of Vogue. His make up is magical as well. I am a blonde and he always get my color and cut exactly the way I like it, without it looking trashy. He has the most adorable personality and style. I love him. The salon is beautiful, very chic and classy. I feel like a princess every time I go there. Lauren ( The owner) always takes the time to introduce herself and make every client feel at home and comfortable. If you want beautiful hair and a salon that actually takes time to care about thier clients go to Lauren's and ask for Jaime!

I visited Los Angeles with my daugther this past weekend and we intended to get a make over while visiting. I had done some research and found this website and read all the wonderful reviews for this salon, so I made an appointment. I must say that I have never had such a great hair style EVER!!! My daughter had had a really bad hair cut before and when she saw what Jaime had done with mine, she was so impressed. Without an appointment Jaime offered to stay late and do her hair also.
He was able to give her a new trendy style without cutting her hair short.
We both LOVE our new hair styles and would recommend Jaime at Lauren's Salon to anyone!!!

I can't say enough about this salon! I have been going to Michelle forever and she is by far my favorite stylist in the world. She finally found a salon that uses all natural based products and cares about how you look and feel while you are there. I go order my lunch next door or have a glass of wine and just relax. It has been a great experience everytime I go and see her. She takes her time with you to make sure she knows exactly what you want. I aslo love the fact it is a full service salon. I get my facials and nails done there too! .

I've made the permanent move from Chicago to LA and needed someplace to get my hair relaxed. Since my hair is unusually textured, I've been really concerned about finding the right place to have my touch-ups. Lauren herself called me up after I made my appointment to discuss what I needed, and she booked my appointment with Jamie.

I went in this morning and let me tell you, I've already made a second appointment for a cut! Jamie is so fun and sweet, and he really listened to me about what I needed. He is very precise about everything and takes his time, but it still didn't take longer than usual for the touch-up. All the other stylists seemed very nice and the vibe is laid-back glamour. Loved it.

And the pricing is DEFINITELY right.

I love the way Michelle does my hair and wouldn?t have anyone else do it! She takes the time to listen to what I want done. She?s very precise and diligence in her coloring and cutting. Michelle has a great personality and caters to her clients? comfort and needs. The salon is very clean and welcoming; it?s very open and airy. It located in a great location next to Kings Road Cafe which great because you can coffee and lunch while you are getting your hair done.

Isabel has cut and highlighted my hair for the last decade. Before getting to her I was on a hairdresser crusade, and not one matched up to her. You know why?Isabel really truly cares for her clients and their looks; you?re not just a "quick buck head of hair." No one in LA cuts a better ?Bob? than her, or cuts better. Period. It?s always perfect, and the highlights blend in so well with my natural hair that you see the effect, but wouldn?t know I added some color. Also, I?m really happy Isabel/Lauren?s Salon Spa moved to their present location, next door to the King?s Road Cafe. The salon is spacious and you?re treated like a queen (including a complimentary glass of wine if you wish). Oh, and the price for her hairdos is right, too!!!!

I was just in at Lauren's Salon for the first time and had Michelle give me the best make over ever. I had lifeless dull hair that didn't really do anything right. Now I have amazing highlights that brighten my eyes and make my skin even look better. I never realized how much color can truly affect your overall appearance. I am definetly going back. Want someone who really understands color and knows how to make your hair look beautiful????? Go to Isabell. I have gone to the best salons in Beverly Hills and paid top dollar and no one has done as good a job with my color as Isabell. She has a real talent for color especially for Blondes!!! I get compliments all the time from total stangers!!! Isabell really cares about her clients and about making them happy. I have been coming to Michelle for years now and everytime I go back I am so grateful that I found her. My hair was in major distress. I was a bleach blonde mess and needed some TLC. Michelle was like a breath of fresh air. She got my hair shiney, & longer than it's ever been and I still have the blonde that I love. All of my friends love her too! You gotta try her!!!!!

I followed Shelly from another salon in the area, and I am so glad I did! Never have I had such excellent customer service. Not to mention, she is the best colorist ever - hands down. My hair was plain, long and mousy brown. I was a little nervous about changing it up, but she was so awesome I relaxed. She turned my long boring hair into a trendy, beautiful blonde bob and I haven't stopped getting compliments!!!! Each time I go she does something different, and that's always my favorite visit! (till the next visit anyway...LOL)
The spa itself is very comfortable and not snooty at all. The foot massage therapist they have is amazing! Nothing is better than getting your feet massaged while your hair is getting done - that's an experience I highly recommend!
The only downside of the entire experience is the parking, so I suggest having someone drop you off if you can. Other than that, I always look forward to my "hair day".
Shelly is a true artisan at her craft of creating the perfect head of hair :-) I can't recommend her enough!

Since I was a new customer, Lauren (the owner) wanted to take the time to talk to me personally to discuss what I was looking for in order to make sure I got just what I wanted. She was extremely friendly and because I wanted blond highlights recommended Caitlin to me. They were able to fit me in last minute on a busy Saturday even though I called Friday evening. Caitlin specializes in blonds and seriously did an amazing job. She's a perfectionist and really listened to what I wanted. If you're looking for a high-end trendy place that isn't pretentious this is the place to go. Caitlin was a really awesome and down to earth--no awkward convos. Anyways, left with just what I wanted..if you're going blonde ask for Caitlin!
