Lauren's Salon Spa

I've made the permanent move from Chicago to LA and needed someplace to get my hair relaxed. Since my hair is unusually textured, I've been really concerned about finding the right place to have my touch-ups. Lauren herself called me up after I made my appointment to discuss what I needed, and she booked my appointment with Jamie.

I went in this morning and let me tell you, I've already made a second appointment for a cut! Jamie is so fun and sweet, and he really listened to me about what I needed. He is very precise about everything and takes his time, but it still didn't take longer than usual for the touch-up. All the other stylists seemed very nice and the vibe is laid-back glamour. Loved it.

And the pricing is DEFINITELY right.

I love the way Michelle does my hair and wouldn?t have anyone else do it! She takes the time to listen to what I want done. She?s very precise and diligence in her coloring and cutting. Michelle has a great personality and caters to her clients? comfort and needs. The salon is very clean and welcoming; it?s very open and airy. It located in a great location next to Kings Road Cafe which great because you can coffee and lunch while you are getting your hair done.

Isabel has cut and highlighted my hair for the last decade. Before getting to her I was on a hairdresser crusade, and not one matched up to her. You know why?Isabel really truly cares for her clients and their looks; you?re not just a "quick buck head of hair." No one in LA cuts a better ?Bob? than her, or cuts better. Period. It?s always perfect, and the highlights blend in so well with my natural hair that you see the effect, but wouldn?t know I added some color. Also, I?m really happy Isabel/Lauren?s Salon Spa moved to their present location, next door to the King?s Road Cafe. The salon is spacious and you?re treated like a queen (including a complimentary glass of wine if you wish). Oh, and the price for her hairdos is right, too!!!!

I was just in at Lauren's Salon for the first time and had Michelle give me the best make over ever. I had lifeless dull hair that didn't really do anything right. Now I have amazing highlights that brighten my eyes and make my skin even look better. I never realized how much color can truly affect your overall appearance. I am definetly going back. Thanks to Michelle I am more confident than I have ever been.

Want someone who really understands color and knows how to make your hair look beautiful????? Go to Isabell. I have gone to the best salons in Beverly Hills and paid top dollar and no one has done as good a job with my color as Isabell. She has a real talent for color especially for Blondes!!! I get compliments all the time from total stangers!!! Isabell really cares about her clients and about making them happy. She listens to what your intended desire is....... and makes it become a reality!

Isabell is truly a talented hair stylist in the truest sense of the word!!!!

I have been coming to Michelle for years now and everytime I go back I am so grateful that I found her. My hair was in major distress. I was a bleach blonde mess and needed some TLC. Michelle was like a breath of fresh air. She got my hair shiney, & longer than it's ever been and I still have the blonde that I love. All of my friends love her too! You gotta try her!!!!!

I followed Shelly from another salon in the area, and I am so glad I did! Never have I had such excellent customer service. Not to mention, she is the best colorist ever - hands down. My hair was plain, long and mousy brown. I was a little nervous about changing it up, but she was so awesome I relaxed. She turned my long boring hair into a trendy, beautiful blonde bob and I haven't stopped getting compliments!!!! Each time I go she does something different, and that's always my favorite visit! (till the next visit anyway...LOL)
The spa itself is very comfortable and not snooty at all. The foot massage therapist they have is amazing! Nothing is better than getting your feet massaged while your hair is getting done - that's an experience I highly recommend!
The only downside of the entire experience is the parking, so I suggest having someone drop you off if you can. Other than that, I always look forward to my "hair day".
Shelly is a true artisan at her craft of creating the perfect head of hair :-) I can't recommend her enough!

I was in desperate need of fixing my roots and new to the area so I called around a few places and decided to try Lauren's Spa. Since I was a new customer, Lauren (the owner) wanted to take the time to talk to me personally to discuss what I was looking for in order to make sure I got just what I wanted. She was extremely friendly and because I wanted blond highlights recommended Caitlin to me. They were able to fit me in last minute on a busy Saturday even though I called Friday evening. Caitlin specializes in blonds and seriously did an amazing job. She's a perfectionist and really listened to what I wanted. If you're looking for a high-end trendy place that isn't pretentious this is the place to go. Caitlin was a really awesome and down to earth--no awkward convos. Anyways, left with just what I wanted..if you're going blonde ask for Caitlin!

I have had my two-process color done in the most expensive salons in Los Angeles and NYC, but NO ONE does it as consistently or as well as Isabell Csaki. All her customers agree that she is the best. We would follow her anywhere. Her prices are reasonable too. Lauren's salon is comfortable and a lovely white. The staff is friendly and the Isabell's color is fanstastic. Try Isabell! You won't be sorry.

I've been going to Isabell at Lauren's for at least 10 years now, and the salon has only gotten better! Isabell is the best colorist I've ever had and I am a fanatic about not having my hair look "done". I have long, dirty blonde, beachy-looking hair, and I like that it looks "natural". Isabell gives me subtle highlights that blend really well and are not harsh on my hair. The salon's products always smell so yummy and everyone in the salon is friendly--not snobby like some L.A. salons. Recently, the place has added services and I can't wait to try them out when I have time!

I have only been to Michelle once and I already know I am going to be her biggest fan. She was one of the nicest people I have ever met , and you can tell she loves what she does. I came in with some apprehension and left feeling georgeous. I can't wait to tell all my friends about her. I love my new summer highlights and fun cut. I can't wait to go back

Having lived in several cities across the U.S. I have never found a better person, Isabel, to color both my and my wife's hair - in particular my my wife's RED hair. As I understand it, red is one of the most difficult to match/blend. I always go with my wife when she gets her hair colored. Isabel does things I've never seen anybody else do - and the results are fantastic. No "hot" or pink roots. The day my wife has her hair colored it looks perfect - no additional days needed for the colored hair to "calm down" or blend in to match her natural hair color. Isabel makes it match perfectly IN THE SHOP before you leave. Isabel is truly a unique artist I highly recommend. If you've never been able to get your hair color exactly the way you've always wanted it to be - see Isabel - you'll be very pleased.

I followed Shelley (Michelle) from another Salon to Lauren's because after newly arriving in LA and searching all over for an awesome colorist/stylist I finally found one in Shelley. Shelley is so friendly, talented, flexible re hours (I love that! No month long wait to get in and see her - one time she even agreed to stay really late to squeeze me in after work) and helpful (esp. when you don't know what the heck to do with yourself!). Shelley is the type of stylist that once you find her you are set for life!! And, I am loving Lauren's salon - Lauren and the staff are all very friendly (always offering wine/coffee/tea etc. and even running out to put money in the meters for you).

I have always been one of those who jumps around from salon to salon searching for the stylist that could read my mind and tell me what I wanted or what I needed. I have finally found that one. Michelle is the most patient, talented stylist I have ever been to. I can come stress free and leave feeling beautiful. The salon has such good energy and is located in the coolest area in LA. If you are looking for a hair miracle, Michelle is your girl.

I am one of the many loyal clients of Shelly's at Laurens Salon. But, I can confidently say that I am one of her biggest fans. She consistantly creates a look that I love everytime, whether I want a completely new style, a new color or if I need just a trim from my last awesome cut. I will be honest and say that I hate getting my hair cut and I am officially the worst at recreating the look after I leave the salon. But Shelly has a relaxed way of explaining the style and this amazing way of showing me how to recreate it. And I can! Plus, she is the sweetest thing you will ever meet.

One more thing. The salon is the cutest place! It is so beautifully decorated with gentle drapes, stunning candles, funky wall hangings and everyone is so lovely. They friendly greet you with the option of wine, crackers and fun little candies making the whole experience a luxury, not just a boring trip to the hairdressers where you sit under ugly lights and read the New Idea dated back from last year. The prices are great also! And they offer more that just hair services!

So, do it right! Her name is Shelly and the place is Laurens Salon. I drive all the way from Marina Del Rey just to see her.

I'd always been a bit skeptical about hairdressers who do both cut and color. I'd find they were really colorists who also cut or stylists who did color on the side...and they were way better at one than then other. But Isabell is really terrific at both and that's a big advantage because she brings a total vision to your hair. Plus, since it is in her nature to be warm and generous and accommodating, I can pop in for a roots touch-up and ask her to tweak my bangs or snip a layer or two where my hair is starting to hang a little heavy, or give me an on-the-spot lesson in how to get my ends to flip up. She is FLEXIBLE and also honest (No, you don't need a cut yet), which are great gifts in a stylist. It's also a gift to find a salon with a low-key neighborhood vibe and top-notch talent. Plus, the products they use have the most fantastic scents!

What would I do without Isabell?! I was first introduced to Isabell, my longtime stylist at Lauren's, by a friend whose taste and opinion I trusted. She didn't steer me wrong. The salon itself is bright and clean, contemporary and inviting; I love the giant vases of white flowers. The entire staff is so welcoming. And Isabell herself is a high-energy artist of hair. With patient and precision styling, she brings just the right touch to my short locks. The highlights she gives me are at once subtle and stylish. And the compliments start coming from the moment I leave the salon. I remember -- in the dark days before Isabell -- that every haircut was an anxious and unpredictable affair. So take my advice: Say goodbye to salon stress and say HELLO to Isabell at Lauren's!

Michelle from Lauren's Salon Spa is my hairstylist for LIFE! For my entire existence, I?ve always thought of my hair as my worst feature. No matter what stylist I tried or what picture of a celebrity I brought in, I always went away from the salon disappointed in the results. Frankly, I gave up trying. As a devote patron of Kings Road Cafe, I never really knew this magnificent salon was so close to me. I was walking back to my car after lunch one afternoon when I noticed a pretty young girl with a magnificent smile and gorgeous hair walking past me. I had to stop her and compliment her hairstyle. After chatting with this charming young lady for quite sometime, she had convinced me to me to make an appointment with her. It was an appointment I would never regret! I reluctantly arrived for my appointment, but Michelle put me at ease and told me exactly what I needed for a cut and color. I?m not an expert on hair and was at her mercy, but her pleasant demeanor and confidence made me trust her. I?m glad I did because my hair has never looked so GREAT! I can?t count how many compliments I receive on a daily basis. Thank you Michelle for making me feel so beautiful! AMAZING AMAZING!

Caitlin Richardson at Laurens Salon and Spa has consistently given me the best haircuts Ive had in LA. I was referred by my roommate, who is a girl, so I was hesitant. After I arrived I felt completely at ease and I immediately was greeted by everyone in the salon, and was soon hanging out and being served wine and cookies... fastest way to a man's heart! Caitlin may have mostly women clients, but she does great cuts for men with longer "rocker" or "surfer" hair as I do. She now does hair for many of my friends, men and women, who rely on their image to keep them up to date with other performing artists and personalities. She has even come on location to style me for shoots and always makes time for me, even last-minute. Also Lauren is a charming hostess! You will leave her salon with a good ego boost, and a great look every time! PS-- Caitlin works late nights, great for my work schedule: UNTIL 10 PM! So convenient!

I got my haircut by Caitlin this past weekend. SHE ROCKS, DUDE! She spent so much time talking with me about what I wanted before the cut. And during the cut, she checked back with me to make sure I liked what she was doing. Her dedication to her profession is awesome, and is her sparking personality. She had me talking and laughing the whole time--what fun!

The Salon itself is lovely. It has a very friendly atmosphere and everyone is there to make you more comfortable. You can tell that the staff really enjoy working together. Even the owner, Lauren, came out and introduced herself to me, personally!

If I could afford it, I'd fly out from Washington, D.C., just to get my haircut at this place with Caitlin.

my best friend and i set out to explore the world outside of our small town. we went to the Hollywood area and wanted to get the "star treatment." we decided a new, fun, and creative look was just what we needed, then we found Victor. we decided to put our new California look into his hands. i never felt uneasy about what Victor was doing with my makeover. i loved Victor's attention to detail. he also took the time to teach me how i could style my hair to look my best at home. he also gave his make-up expertise to help me effectively use the make-up i had abandoned at home because of my lack of cosmetic knowledge. he took the time to get to know my personality in order to find the best style for me. thanks!

I was visiting the Hollywood area and wanted a TOTALLY new look. i am from a small town and found myself visiting Victor to do a transformation! Way to go Victor. He took time to know my hair type and what cut would work for my lifestyle. He gave me tips on easy care and introduced me to hair care products that truly made a difference in my daily hair styling. i was never one to use "stuff" in my hair. i left my new look in his capable hands and was so impressed. i highly reccommend Victor Ontiveros as anyone's stylist. He has a great personality and is willing to work with you to get a more than satisfying result. I will certainly look him up again should i be out that way in the future to see what he has in store for me next!

Wow. I have very curly hair and i am very particular about haircuts. After my first time getting my hair cut at Lauren's salon, from lauren herself, i knew this was one of the best salons. Now i have been going for about a year and I LOVE IT! I love the ambience and the origanal decorating. Everyone treats me like their finest customer. I HIGHLY RECOMMED THIS WONDERFUL SALON AND IT IS DEFINATLY ON OF MY FAVORITES. i wish i lived here.

I've lost count of how many times people have come up to me and asked "Who cut you hair?". If you are looking for someone to give you an amazing hair cut then go to see Caitlin. Affordable prices and friendly, attentive staff and just next store is the Kings Road Cafe. The best hair cut and best latte you will ever drink. If you have something in mind or if you need her to come up with a style for you she is amazing and can do it. She can cut, colour, add extentions, anything you want, Caitlin is a professional and her hair styles grow out nicely because of her precise cutting.
So treat yourself and visit this centrally located salon on Beverly Boulevard, just down the road from the Beverly Center. When you leave Lauren's salon you will look amazing, have a big smile on your face and everyone will be asking you where you got your hair cut.

I've been using Lauren to style my hair for over a year. Her haircuts are pure artistry and her beaming vivacious personality is genuine and uplifting. After a hard day I can't wait to relax in the salon and receive that four star treatment. Lauren always makes me feel like her best and most important client.

I have been going to Lauren's for over a year now and have referred many execs and other on camera talent. and actors. Lauren's salon has a clean and crisp look and has amazing energy that makes you feel right at home. Upscale service in a relaxed environment.

Caitlin is not only my personal hair stylist but my wardrobe stylist as well. She dresses me for many red carpet events as I do on-camera hosting for CBS mobile. I have to keep my style easy, and current and she is able to give me a trendy yet the ability to maintain an easy to do functional look.

She has taken the time to teach me how to correctly dry my hair and bangs as well. There is nothing worse than getting a great cut but having no idea how to get that out of the salon look when you get home and try to do it yourself. Feel free to ask her for help she is ready and willing to teach you some secrets.

Do your self a favor and set an appointment there asap. PS. She is great at color and specializes in blonde's that my friends rave to me about.

I love going to Lauren's to visit my favorite stylist Caitlin Richardson. I have been living in Los Angeles almost 4 years and met Caitling about 2 years ago. I have never followed a stylist when they change salons, but I will follow her anywhere. She is truly amazing. I have never trusted ANYONE with my hair, the way I trust Caitlin. She cuts bangs like no other. She taught me how to do my own blowout, and her coloring is perfect always, and i have gone from platinum blond to dark brown. I am a designer and she also does the hair and styling for ALL of my shoots. She always makes time to do my hair even if it's last minute for an event or before a trip. If you are looking for someone who you will LOVE and TRUST as stylist, go see Caitlin at Lauren's salon. She is really that good. She is truly a professional as well as an awesome person. Caitlin has been cutting my hair for the past five years and I've followed her around from salon to salon because she does such a good job with my hair! In fact, I live in San Francisco and fly down every few months just to see her because she's the only person I trust! I never tell her what I want, I just let her do what she thinks works and I've never been disappointed. Lauren's Salon is in a great neighborhood and everyone that works there is very friendly and nice. Highly recommend!

She created cutting edge hair colors and I was alway gets many compliments on the blowouts. Working in the entertainment its important to have someone who cares about you and your hair.

I have been having Caitlin cut my hair for about a year and I can honestly say that I've never been happier. I used to walk out of most haircuts feeling like I needed to give it a week or so before it looked "just right"...Not the case here. I walk out and the cut is perfect. She is so on top of her game. Caitlin is a true professional and i would highly recommend her to anyone that has gone through the frustration of finding a stylist that leaves them smiling. The Salon is great too...easy to find (right next to King's Road Cafe) and easy to find parking as well. Anyway, call and book your appointment!!!
