I purchased a used watercraft in Sacramento and they brought it down to Oakland for me. I had a Thule rack purchased at another store and the staff there in Oakland was helpful to help me re-install it correctly and provided tools and assistance, all at or near closing time.

This is one business that should be boycotted. I have nothing but bad dealings with the owner and the staff. And I hear nothing but bad review from my friends abut this store. Don't give them your businesss! Go to The River Store, or Sierra Outdoor Center, or Outdoorplay.com

By the water at Jack London Square, youll find California Canoe & Kayak and they are the definitive place to shop for anything kayak and canoe-related. They even rent canoes and kayaks to play around in at the water at their location. They have mandatory classes if youd like to rent their stuff, and they also have outings in the sea for whale watching. This is a great resource with a very knowledgeable and patient staff.
