If you want something to eat right off the interstate, then Wren's Cafe is a good choice. The restaurant is right off the Southbound I-80/ Merchant St/Alamo Dr. ramp. Remember to slow down because the off ramp has quite a curve. You get off I-80 and the ramp takes you around the outside of the restaurant, the enterance to the restaurant is on the other side of the restaurant on the on/off ramp which is Merchant St. The traffic if you are heading onto I-80 can be a challenge to get into the restaurant parking lot. There is limited parking shared with a hotel.

Wren's is a small Cafe/dinner but they have limited hours brunch/dinner hours. My husband would always go there on the weekends because they were usually the only ones serving breakfast until 1 or 2pm.

The food is delicious and inexpensive, they have many topping options if you want an omlette and the potatos are a variation from the standard hashbrowns.

Pro: good food
Con: traffic
