I called to make an appointment and since they recommended bringing in pictures you like, I tried to ask which designers were in my price range. I was bumped around 4 different people who were very rude to me and told me numerous times "we don't give out prices on our dresses." Well, I wasn't asking for a price on a specific dress, only which of their designers offer dresses under $1600 so I could browse the pictures online and bring some in for my appointment. They were so concerned with not giving me $ information they never even got the appointment, but instead hung up on me after a sarcastic comment on one designer (after 5 min of me explaining, "NO, I'm NOT looking for a price on a specific dress.")

I went to Elegant Lace and bought my wedding dress there. Daisy was my consultant and she was excellent. She was very sweet, patient and helpful. I felt no pressure at all. The other people I talked to there were also nice. I liked that I could try on any dress in the store and as many as I wanted. I also got my veil and shoes there.

I initially went there and asked for a specific brand and was taken to the wrong section. After looking at dresses that were not the style I had picked my friend showed up and took me to the correct area. I was measured and sent on my way. I guess not too bad originally. When I went to pick up my dress it turns out that the girl that measured me ordered the wrong size. I'm a 10 not an 8. I'm not even exaggerating when I say I couldn't zip up my dress, and no it was not only me. I had to have my friend zip it, while I held the top of the zipper together. When I told them it was much too tight the consultant talked to someone else and I overheard her saying that the girl ordered me a size too small. She then proceeded to tell me that the girl no longer works there because she made too many mistakes. She also mentioned that maybe if I lost 2 pounds I would fit in it and pointed to my waist, which I want to add was not where it was tight. I was told by the seamstress that it was going to be very difficult to let out due to the material and how much material was required. I called back and spoke to a manager and let her know there was going to be a problem with the size and she basically told me it was not their responsibility and that I signed the receipt saying that I assume the responsibility if the wrong dress size is ordered. I went to them thinking they were professionals and they would not mislead me, even the woman who suggested I lost some weight saw on the chart that they ordered me the wrong size. I guess all they are good for is actually getting the dress, I should've sized myself since they assume no responsibility. Horrible customer service and horrible at finding a resolution. What good is a dress going to do that doesn't zip. Maybe I should just lose some weight.

After trying on a dress that I liked, the women asked, "What would it take to get you to buy this dress today?" I was asked a similar question when buying a used car .. it was so sleazy.

Also, when I asked for the designer and style of the dress they gave me made up information so that I could not find it on the Internet.

After I purchased the dress on a different day, they finally gave me the correct information (i.e. after the contract was signed) and I found out that the dress costs $150-$250 less than I bought it for.

I didn't have much time to look for a dress unfortunately. The dress that I did buy was too big and will have to be altered, which will be very expensive.

All in all, there were mistakes that I made, but I feel the tactics of this shop made the experience very unpleasant.

My Fianc and I purchased a $2000.00 dress from a consultant and had a great time picking out the dress. The problem began when we wanted a picture; we were not able to take a picture until we bought the dress which was after she had tried it on. The consultant said to go to the web site and there wasn't one. We tried to get them to get us a swatch or anything and all we got was sorry. We had to wait 4 months until the dress came in to get a picture. Once the dress was in they said they didn't have anyone to alter the dress and we had to take it elsewhere. They had promised that for $2000.00 everything was included and we even paid extra for the hem and a veil. Once again Sorry was all we got form them. After I was furious regarding the poor service, all Laura (the Owner) wanted to know was, "when we were going to pick up the dress" obviously they wanted their money and did not care about the trouble. When I said I don't know when we would be in to pick up the dress, she threatened to take us to small claims court if we didn't come and get the dress. I have never been treated so poorly and would not recommend this store to my worst enemy. I also did not want o giver her money for the veil but she wouldn't budge on anything, all she wanted was money, very very greedy and the prices were outrageous. We will be in to pick up the dress but I regret having to give my money to such greedy people. I would rather give them my $1000.00 deposit than take the dress for another $1000.00 but obviously they would like to take a customer to court, so I guess I have to pay money to a company that swindles people and threatens to sue them. There are plenty of nice places, I recomend to take your business elsewhere."

This store was definitely on my list when shopping for my wedding gown. The staff was extremely friendly and helped me start finding the dress for me. Even though the dress I chose was discontinuing, my Mother found the perfect dress for my big day. The staff made my Mom feel special and paid lots of attention to her! She really loved feeling like the Mother of the Bride! Thanks Elegant Lace, you made her day!

The consultant I had was really helpful and actually suggested some dresses I wouldn't have thought to try on. She was quick with helping me get the dress on and off. I went first thing on a weekend so the crowd wasn't bad until when I was leaving. They have lots of Maggie dresses and mid range dresses.

I bought my wedding dress here & had nothing but the best experience! My consultant, Vonia, was absolutely the best! She was highly knowledgable and knew just what I was looking for when I showed her pictures. She stayed within my price range & was very patient as I tried on so many dresses. My gown even arrived early!

We also ordered the bridesmaids' gowns here, which arrived early as well!

And we rented the guys' tuxedos here- everything went smoothly!
