Very bad customer service, bought a purple lobster that did not even make it home. Called to see if they would give me store credit since it wasn't like it died several days later, it didn't even make it home with me. No luck on the store credit, basically told me I was out of luck and hung up on me during the middle of the conversation we were having. STAY AWAY FROM THESE GUYS, they don't care about anything but getting your money and could care less what happens to their animals in your hands. Very bad business, this lobster probably cost them $4, the least they could do would be to replace it.

My wife and I went to South Broadway Tropicals to looks for a 2 new additions to our 75 Gallon display. We had purchased a few fish there before and had generally been happy with their livestock, though their tanks are not in the best of condition.
To make a long story short, my wife selected a bi-color angel that had some signs of distress. after I inquired about their livestock policy, the representative who was attending us said that there was no-guarantee on Saltwater livestock, he indicated that, given the circumstances, they would be willing to work with us, he re-iterated this several times. We purchased the Bi-Color and a ArcEye Hawkfish
The details on my setup is:
1 x 75 gallon Display tank
1 x 20 galllon QT tank.
I have had the QT tank setup and running for over a month and do regular water changes and perform Water quality tests on it. Before we went to SBT, I had performed another change, using water from my Display tank and tested it all out. I also added Cupramine and MaracynTwo (Saltwater version) to pro-actively treat the QT tank.
The Bi-Color did not last through the night. When I called to inquire about whether they would honor/work with me on what their rep had told me to my face yesterday. First they hung up on me, then the rep that I had dealt with the day before told me that he had said that they would only work with us if the fish was "too aggressive" or caused other problems in the tank. This is half-truth at best and at worst a bald-faced lie. He did mention that once, but this was not in the context of my question namely: This fish is showing signs of distress, if I purchase this fish and he perishes will you work with me?
I was polite on the phone, did not raise my voice or my temper and I feel that the rep lied to both my wife and my face's to make the sale, and then hid behind policy.
I was only hoping for store credit, now I will never do business with this store again.
The ArcEye Hawkfish seems to be doing great in the QT so far.
Buyer Beware

This place sold me two fish that were completely incompatible. The woman who waited on me was rude inconsiderate and all to easy to push me out the door with the wrong combination of fish that I now have to eat the cost on thanks a lot!!

This is by far the best place in town to get fish. The staff is extremely knowledgeable, and take very good care of their fish. I have not found anyone in town that could compare to them.

This isn't in my usual shopping area, so I can't give a balanced review.
Parking: Parallel street parking or in the back, and not many spaces.
Assistance: Friendly, helpful, knowledgeable.
Stock: If you want BIG FISH this place seems to be a home for unwanted cichlids/plecos. Very reasonably priced if you want centerpiece fish in a big tank, rather than dither fish.
Not a huge selection when I was there. Lots of similar things, but interesting enough and worth checking out.
