My girlfriend and I had a great time here today. There was not much to see besides the butterfly area, but the price was reasonable. The butterflies literally can land on you. There are about a thousand butterflies in the area. Really alot of fun.

I moved to Colorado last December and have taken my grandchildren 3 times already. Almost everytime that I see my grandson (3 1/2 yrs), he asks "Grandma, go to Butterfwi Villion"? I was told that we would be there for about two hours, how about almost five and this is everytime. He could almost be a volunteer and tell you everything, almost! Yes, it met my expectations and more! A Deal? You bet, especially if you frequent it as much as we have and will. The displays are great and the visability for the children is awesome. If you haven't gone there, please give yourself and family a treat! See you there!

Its a world of butterflies and insects. Its fun as well as educational. They have a nice collection of insects and they are displayed well. The best part is the butterfly section. Its a room full of trees and flowers and the butterflies flutter around freely. You have pathways to walk through and see the butterflies. Its a great experience to have that many butterflies fluttering around you. Overall its a fun place to see but its a bit pricey.

Kids love to go here because you can hold spiders and see all kinds of fish as well as see butterflys. Every time we go there the butterflys land on us. It is a bit small for the money though, I would prefer some more live animals for the kids to see.

The Butterfly Pavilion is a fun adventure into the world of insects. My children love to look at all of the displays of insects in the different sections. They also love to challenge each other to see who will hold the tarantula (anyone who holds it gets to wear a special sticker declaring the honor).

The butterflies are in a large room full of trees and flowers. Pathways and bridges take you throughout. As you walk you will see a variety of butterflies. Keep an eye in the little ponds along the way and you might notice some turtles or frogs. We found the only drawback to this section is the massive humidity in this area. It's kept temperate for the butterflies but can be uncomfortable to spend much time in.

There is also a little nature walk area in the back where you can see the prairie dogs.

Inside there is a small snack bar that serves ice cream and cold drinks.

Overall a fun place to visit but I find it to be a little expensive considering the size of it. We can cover the whole place in less than an hour and it isn't inexpensive.

PROS: Children Learn About Insects, Butterfly Section is Peaceful
CONS: Expensive, Small

I took my toddler here expecting nice exhibits and lots of butterflies, but was rather disappointed. The museum is much smaller than I expected and just not all that inspiring. There's a bug room (where you can actually pet a tarantula!) and then there was a room full of large-scale models of bugs, which was kind of neat, but also kind of creepy. The butterflies are kept in an enclosed area that you can walk through. It's very nice with little bridges and a rocky pathway. However, strollers were not allowed in there and my child who had just learned to walk had a hard time. He ended up walking off the path and falling into a very dirty puddle. All in all, we didn't see that many butterflies and I left feeling like, "That was it?"

This place is like walking into a wonderland of butterflies. It's like walking into paradise and having 1,200 different kinds of butterflies fluttering all around you. It's a great place to take the kids and learn all about the insect world. Kids are also going to love the new exhibit with the large animatronic insects from your backyard. Plus it's pretty affordable in comparison to other zoos and museums.

This is a wonderful place to bring the kids. Our family couldn't stop talking about the butterflies for days!

Finding stuff to do with a 9 month old in the Fall/Winter just got easier. I got a membership which pays for itself once you go to this wonderland a couple of times. They have so many different butterflies. It is truly an amazing place. My daughter thinks it is the greatest to have a butterfly land on her stroller. Their gift shop has a great selection of toys and other bug related stuff for babies to adults to enjoy.
