We had a service tech who was great and I highly recommend him, it was the asst. mgr Ben who was so nasty and has no concept of customer service!!
We bought our Suburban from Ed Bozarth, & have been loyal customers since. During the warranty period, I complained to the service department that the heat in the back does not work all the time & my children have no heat. Each time, they were "unable to reproduce the problem" & did not do anything about it. It was an intermittent issue, but began occuring the first winter we had it in '04 (today is '09). This week, the air does not come on whatsoever! I am 1 yr 5 months out of warranty. Called service, was advised they would look at it & see as to whether it would be paid for. The asst. mgr on duty Ben decided it was too far out of warranty & that he would do me the "favor" of giving me 15% off the replacement fee of approximately $380. My husband called back to tell him that it is not right to be told about a problem during warranty, fail to fix it, then wait until after the warranty has expired to tell the customer that they owe to have it fixed. He also explained to Ben that we have been loyal customers, & that even though we live 2 mins from a huge chevy dealer, we continue to go to them (approx. 25 minutes away), that we are in the market for a new Suburban in the near future & plan to buy from them, that except for one time 2 oil changes ago, & possibly earlier on when my dad changed the oil once, we have been to them exclusively (we tried a friend of my parents, who changed the oil, did a maintenance, & I found out was more expensive than I wanted to continue paying, so I went back to Ed Bozarth for my last oil change/tire rotation etc.), that they make a minimum of $100 off of us every time I get the synthetic oil change/tire rotation, & finally that we should not have to pay for a service charge that should have been fixed during warranty when they had it then.
Ben's response to my husband was outrageous to say the least. Ben has no business being in his job if this is how he treats & speaks to customers. He was nasty & raised his voice telling my husband in so many words that we were not loyal customers, that there was a 13,000 break in service for me for oil changes (uh yeah, the oil change I had that other guy do) and he had the nerve to say nastily "where are all the maintenance services and alignment" and words of that nature, implying we are not loyal customers b/c they did not do any maintenance. FYI Ben, my Suburban is awesome & other than the maintenance that guy did, you are the only service people who have ever had my Suburban! Ben ranted to my husband about how they are not sneaky & that how can they fix a problem that they can't diagnose (yes, he does absolutely acknowledge that they did in fact have it in for this exact problem during warranty, that they failed to fix), & he finally ranted that he was going to reduce it to offer it to us at "cost," something in the $200 range.
My husband told him that we absolutely had to have it fixed today so our children would have heat, but that not only would we never buy another vehicle from them, that they would lose us for service in the future & we would tell all of our friends as to this awful service. Ben was nasty & apparently the phone conversation ended at that!
I picked it up, & can you imagine I had to pay a $28 diagnostic fee ... $28 for them to diagnose a problem that they should have fixed during the warranty period 3 years ago when they last had it for this!! That does not sound like fixing it "at cost" in my opinion! I paid $190 plus change, the last amount of money Ed Bozarth will ever get from me! Sorry to the employee who would have benefited from selling us a new Suburban!
Seems like a scam to me, fail to diagnose during warranty, and wait until after to charge the customer for it!! If it was so legitimate, then why reduce the rate as a "favor"?? They are in the business of making money, you don't reduce money for work that is legitimately owed for, if it is in fact legitimate!!
Oh yeah, and the kicker is I have to call them to ask why the heat does not come on, on the floor, but only up top? So now I may have to deal with them again and I'm sure they'll ask for more money to fix a problem that once again, they can't seem to get right!!

We are very happy with the car we purchased here. The salesman that we worked with was not the usual pushy car salesman. They also had a good selection. The only thing we did not like is you agree on a price and then they send you over to the financial dept and that guy tries to add on a bunch of extra costs. They also don't have much parking. But they are conveinently located near the mall and other dealerships. Overall, it was a good buying experience.
PROS: location, sales people, selection
CONS: financial dept

I scheduled an appointment for my Tahoe's 30k mile service. I was scheduled for the very next day and promised to be out by mid day. Since this would take half a day, they drove me to work and picked me back up when the service was done. I didn't have the 10% off coupon, but they honored it anyway. Great service.
