This location took a reservation for 100 people and then cancelled it two days before the event. They didn't even notify us.
We stopped in to confirm our plans and that's when they dropped the bomb on us.

Pros: none

Cons: bad management

.

The food is average and the ambience is just perfect for sports lovers and singles in the evenings. You will not be able to hear anybody if you are looking or a quiet or romantic evening. Which is to be expected. And dinner (hamburgers) for two with one drink each cost over $50.00 not including tip!! I thought it was very overpriced for the type of place it is.

Pros: Good service, and great to hang out on sports nite.

Cons: Not great value for the type of food you get..

My wife, two children (6 & 10 years old) and I visited Champps for dinner in December (after being stuck in the house for a few days due to snow storms). While eating our dinner we watched the college football bowl games that were playing on the big screen TVs placed around the restaurant. Toward the end of our meal the big screen TV's (with full stereo sound blasting away) were switched over to a "special" event that, as it turns out, the restaurant was promoting that evening; the pay-per-view showing of an " Xtreme Fighting" tournament. I don't know if you have ever seen one of the events, but they are an 18+ year old type of program with extreme violence and interviews of the fighters that include many four letter expletives. My wife had to rush my children out of the restaurant as this is not the type of "entertainment" we are interested in them being exposed to.

I voiced my disappointment with management that they would feature such programming (especially at 7:45 at night while families with young children are present). I also would have appreciated a warning from the hostess staff when I came into the restaurant that such content was going to be aired. Instead our meal came to an abrupt end and we had to make a quick exit (after paying a whopping $85+ dinner bill for two adults and two children). Their menu prices (for decent but average food) have definitely gone up.

It seems that Champps wants to attract the younger ?Xtreme Fighting? crowd (who must have a lot of money to afford Champps food and drink prices). I for one don?t plan on frequenting them again and I certainly will not be taking my family back there.

We order from this restaurant about once a month at work, usually just 4-5 people and get it to go. Food has always been good, portions are generous which probably accounts for the slightly higher than average prices. On this occasion, we ordered and got back to work. One item was missing and another not quite right on a special order. We called and I went back to get the other two items. When I walked in the manager had the items ready and immediately apologized. He did not charge my credit card at all for the entire bill and gave me a gift certificate. The two items I returned to pick up were correct (we had just been given 1 wrong bag accidentally (it happens!) and very good. He really impressed me with his sincerity and how he took care of the problem immediately and took responsibility. I will go back just because of the great customer service. I also like the fact that this restaurant even though it is a "sports bar", does not just have the boring regular "bar food", like greasy fried appetizers and no healthy entrees. Their salads are wonderful and they have a good selection. I would recommend this "sports bar" over many of the other ones and loved the service.!! Thanks!!

Pros: Good menu selection, clean, great customer service

Cons: a little loud (it is a sports bar) and TV's not in the best spots

Not much here beyond the Sports Bar Theme. The food certainly does not support the draw, so it must be something else. Perhaps all the sports TV's dull the senses of taste, not to mention the senses of hearing anything meaningful on those TV's. The place is down right noisy.
