I have been going to the Riverside for years. This year a new owner came along and my family and I were worried the wonderful, old-fashioned ambiance would change. I am happy to say the new owners have managed to keep the wonderful feel of the place while giving the hotel and restaurant a much needed upgrade. The new beds were so comfortable, neither my wife or I wanted to get up! The food was outstanding both nights. The steak was so good, I had it both nights. My wife and I both agreed the garlic salad was one of the best salads we have ever had--the homemade croutons were awesome! The menu left nothing to be desired. The new owners have also re-opened the bar and we had a great time hanging out in there at the end of our day. If you are looking for an affordable, nice and fun place to stay, try the Riverside, you won't be disappointed!

Pros: great service, wonderful food, comfy beds

My wife and I enjoyed our stay at this charming turn of the century (1890ish) hotel. Great location for access to the hot springs, comfortable, intimate rooms, and the best steak I have had in years.

Once we got used to the informal atmosphere and realized this was not a modern hotel, we relaxed and went with the flow. The owners and staff were fun, informative and served great drinks!

Pros: Like a Bed and Breakfast for the whole family!

Cons: Missed having our own bathroom
