I have a 2 year old Great Dane who was diagnosed at 4 months with hydrocephalus. While common in certain breeds of smaller dogs, it is an unusual conditions for Great Danes. I turned to the Animal Hospital Specialty Center in Littleton

I have a 2 year old Great Dane who was diagnosed at 4 months with hydrocephalus. While common in certain breeds of smaller dogs, it is an unusual conditions for Great Danes. I turned to the Animal Hospital Specialty Center in Littleton
I took my dog to the Animal Hospital Center after hours for emergency care. He cut his paw and they charged me $600 to fix it... it was a minor cut!!! They said that they had to put stitches in... two days after they put those in, the stitches unraveled and I had to take my dog to another vet to obtain additional treatement due to the lack of treatment that he got at the Animal Hospital Center. The other vet that I took my dog to didn't even charge me half of what the Animal Hospital charged!! Animal Hospital Center charged me $51.00 for a small bandage... I couldn't believe how excessive their fees were... they didn't tell me how much this was all going to be until AFTER I signed the paper allowing them to treat my dog. It doesn't even cost that much to take my own children to the Emergency Room!!! I would NOT recommend this facility to anyone... no one deserves to be taken advantage... especially in an emergency situation.
