Great chicken, didn't get a brick though. Dessert had crusty stuff on it! Delicious!

Wash Park Grill has horrible food. Good service and good drinks, but the food is bad. They make their $12 Lobster Mac and Cheese with nacho cheese. I asked the waitress what kind of cheese was in it and she said "It's a different kind of cheese." After further questioning about what that meant I got, "It's a pre-made cheese sauce." Really? $12 LOBSTER mac and cheese with a cheese sauce? Unacceptable.

WPG is everything that Cherry Creek Grille is not! The food is wonderful, delicious layered flavors, wonderful presentation and prices that are truly fair. The buffalo burger is juicy, and topped with wonderful condiments--and the french fries are crisp and tasty. Their salads are plentiful and so flavorful. And the wait staff...FANTASTIC. They are polite, well versed in the menu, funny and don't mind chatting with customers. because I have frequented WPG, there are times they will comp my dinner and my friends as well. That's what I call excellent customer service and care.

I have taken my picky family to WPG, new members of our faculty and a few deans or two. Everyone is always thrilled with the fare, the service and the ambiance.

I should have gone by the reviews that I read. The staff was boring and attentive at all. The food was less than appealing, I ordered the chicken marsala and the sause was way too thin and the chicken was blah. The rest of my parties food was just ok, 1 of the 4 of us was satisfied with their dinner.

Would not go back, there are many more restaurants in Denver and surronding areas with much better food, atmosphere, service and much better priced. I don't mind paying if the food is good

Pros: nice patio

Cons: wait staff,over priced food

Went for 5280 week and we were incredibly disappointed. I've literally had better chicken at banquets. Rubbery, tasteless, and for $52.80 horribly over-priced. The artichoke dip was passable, but I've had better at pizza places. We were a group of four and the service was just okay - we felt as though we were more of an inconvenience than anything else though. I always thought restaurants used 5280 week to introduce their food to possible new customers - but we won't be back - ever.

I have been to Wash Park Grille twice with high hopes and have been let down. The first time I went for happy hour (which has some great deals), but we found a piece of plastic on our dip. The waiter appropriately comped that item, but it wasn't a great first impression.

The second time, we had dinner and drinks. First of all, I think that the dinner items are way over priced. We both ordered steak and it was not good at all. It tasted charred, the potatoes were bland and the broccoli was terrible.

I want to like this restaurant, because I do like the atmosphere, but I probably will not go back.

I just love this restaurant. The atmosphere is moderately upscale yet cozy. Winters in the dining room near the fire place are my favorite. They have a decent wine selection and the cheese sampler plate is perfect for sitting and talking and snacking and sipping wine. :) The Grilled Hearts of Romaine salad is delicious-I would definitely recommend trying it if you haven't. Sadly, they tend to have the same menu year after year with nothing really new and fun for the regulars to experiement with--still the food is good, the staff is great and the atmosphere is unbeatable.

I started eating at Wash Park a couple of years ago and was impressed right away. The atmosphere is "old school" with brick everywhere. I've eaten at the bar when I didn't want to wait for a table and it was just as good. The bartenders and servers are always kind, informative and helpful when selecting entrees and wine pairings. The only drawback is the street parking but last time I was in I discovered the free valet service and that made all the difference. I'll continue eating and drinking at Wash Park as long as I'm living in Denver.

I have been to the Wash Park Grill quite a few times and I have always enjoyed it! I like that I can come to this place for all occaissions... a quick bite for lunch (great sandwiches), awesome happy hour (7 days/week, from 3pm to 7pm!), or even a nice romantic date. The servers are typically very friendly and attentive making great recommendations on food and wine. I do enjoy the proximity to Wash Park.... I can take my dog to the park and then walk over to grab a drink or a meal... they even have a doggy menu! It is a great neighbor style restuarant with good people.

I recently dined at Wash Park for the first time two weeks ago and was VERY impressed! My husband and I arrived around 6:45 and were greeted by a very friendly hostess. The wait was about 30 minutes, but the hostess escorted us to the cocktail lounge where we sat outside and had a drink. Our cocktail waitress was very friendly and told us about their incredible happy hour. My husband and I each had a glass of wine and our tab was $6.00 -- doesn't get better than that! We were called to our table after about 20 minutes and were seated in a cozy booth. Our waiter was efficient, knowledgeable, and timely. He recommended a fabulous bottle of wine which cost about $30. Our entrees were delicious -- the Italian Penne pasta is a must! For dessert we indulged in a chocolate cake that was to die for! I was extremely impressed with our experience at Wash Park Grille and will definitely be a repeat customer!

I went there during 5280 week and had a great meal. However, the server did not care about us at all, and she left the appetizer dishes on the table after they were empty...and walked right by them three times. We tip according to service, and she did crappy so we gave her 10%. She went ahead and took an extra five dollars for her tip and when I saw that, I called the store manager to request my $5 back. That was two weeks ago and they keep giving me the run around. If she had given me better service, I would not have minded giving her an awesome tip. I believe that management is handling this poorly.

It was my 4th anniversary and I wanted our dinner to be special. So instead of going somewhere familiar I decided to go to a "new" place to try something different. Big mistake. It took the server at least 20 minutes to even greet us, and she was RUDE! Maybe she had a tough day, but she shouldn't take it out on us. We came to this restaurant for a great experience. Now to the food.........IT WAS SUPER BLAND!! My husband and i both ordered meat and it was the blandest tasting piece of meat we both have ever had. I was extremely disappointed that we had paid over $18 for each entree when we could have gone somewhere else cheaper and have it taste a billion times better. All in all I do not recommend this restaurant to anyone! If you like a server who is on top of their game and is really nice and food that taste AWESOME.......GO SOMEWHERE ELSE!!! :)

WPG thinks it is better than I think it is. Ordered bottle of expensive wine and it was served in glass that was so soapy - you could only smell the detergent. When it was brought to the waiter's attention, he just got another glass. HEY - what about our wasted poured wine??? LONG waits to get a table. Food OK but this is not a destination.

Pros: If you are the "in" crowd - this is your spot.

Cons: If you are not the "in" crowd - this is not your spot - LOUD - LOUD

.

I Have been to WPG some 30 odd times because I live very close. They make a great cocktail and the patio is a nice place to hang out. At night the place has a cool vibe and live music. With so little competition is Wash Park, the seem to be complacent.

For the price you can get much better food in Denver. They do rarely offer a special and the menu items are unimpressive. The service is spotty as turn over seems to be a problem. Many items are below average like the Tuna and the lamb. You can get a decent pizza or a burger but even the steaks are very average. If this place focused on the food, it could be a great restaurant but instead it remains average.

I can't speak for the food here, since it has been years since I've eaten here, but it is a nice place to go for a drink. Wash Park is certainly a good neighborhood, and the bar is quite nice. It seems to be pretty popular, so be prepared to be in lots of company!

I was so disappointed in this place. Not only are the staff rude and inconsiderate, but the food was awful. My potato/apple something tasted like it had freezer burn and the creme brulee tasted like it was just unwrapped out of a plastic package. Great atmosphere and great potential but wow. I think it's a management issue...and staff issue...and chef issue.

The staff ranges from insolent youth to attentive & professional, but the food almost always makes up for it. The one time I didn't care for my plate, there was absolutely no question about replacing it and making me happy. This is my choice for difficult to gauge diners, there's always something for everyone and the menu items offer innovative flavors without being ridiculous or indecipherable.

Pros: Reliably tasty food, friendly service more often than not

Cons: Pool tables: That area used to be a splendid live music room

.

I love Wash Park Grille as a go-to option for large and small gatherings, eating on the patio, or happy hour in the bar. It is a great, multi-functional restaurant and I love the redesigned pool lounge. I have probably tried almost everything on the menu and have rarely been disappointed. Favorites are all of the appetizers, pizzas, field greens salad, Italian penne pasta and key lime pie. I recently tried two of their newer appetizer items; the beef tenderloin bruschetta and the lobster mac & cheese. The bruschetta was to die for and the mac and cheese was excellent. I'll always love WPG-it's a staple of the community and always a good experience!

Went to happy hour here with some girls, have been here about ten times. Happy hour is from 4-6:30, $3 house wine and wells, $2 drafts and half price delicious appetizers. We arrived at 3:50 and the bar manager told us we had to wait the ten minutes for the happy hour pricing. His sarcasm and snooty attitude about the situation was a bad start to the evening. Luckily we had a very nice server who took over and she did a wonderful job. We had a pound of shrimp for $5 and then a meat, cheese, roasted garlic and cracker platter for $6 and lots and lots of $3 wine! Great girls night out, but the negative service by the bar manager left a worst taste in my mouth than the garlic .

This is our first message and review of a restaurant. However, this is not our first time eating out, but in fact Washington Park Grille was our first date and we can both say that they keep us coming back. The Calamari is exquisite, the wrapped salmon is to die for, and you cannot go wrong with a bottle of Matua, Sauvignon Blanc! The service is excellent during the week with a more private setting due to the lowered occupancy. During the weekend, the atmosphere is busy with a slightly older crowd gathering at the bar, while servers race across the floors delivering some of the best cuisine in Denver. We live in the downtown area and frequent Washington Park Grille at least twice a month. Parking is easy with a valet service that is open until 11, and if you like this try Max's Gill and Grill right next door, we hear that the same chef heads the kitchen! Bon Apetite!!!

The atmosphere in the bar is decent, but the food was horrendous. My fiance and I split the Prince Edward Island Mussels, and they were tasteless and bland. She then had the salmon, which was also extremely disappointing, and my stuffed pork chop was as tough as shoe leather. Maybe they can get it right on a weeknight when they're not as busy, but I'd avoid this place on the weekend or busy nights. All in all, the food was terrible and we were very disappointed. Maybe we're snobs after living in San Francisco, but this place is NOT worth the money. My search for great food in Denver continues...

we spent the weekend in denver and had brunch on sunday before we left to back home to l.a. standard brunch food, but a little fancier than other places - we had two kinds of eggs benedict, blintzes, stuffed french toast, rissotto cakes, mini belgian waffles. they even had fresh fruit smoothies! everything was delicious, my favorite was the mini egg custard pie for dessert. we'd definitely come here again the next time we're in denver.

I met a friend for lunch on a nice day, and we were lucky enough to be seated outside on the small patio section. The setting couldn't have been more perfect. However, we both ordered salads, and they were very disappointing. The combination of flavors was not in the least complimentary, and there was even some lettuce that was a bit brown around the edges. The restaurant was busy, and our server paid us little attention.

For you wine drinkers out there - Washington Park Grille has a great happy hour! Their food is so good and innovative. I love sitting on the patio during the summer. Ah, summer. This is a great summer restaurant! I'm sure it's great inside too, but it just so happens that we mostly go there during the warmer months because we love the patio.

Went there twice, both times the service was awful. Over an hour to get a sandwich, and had to remind the waitress of our order twice. They forgot to bring the Caesar salad, but not to charge for it.
You would expect much better service based on the prices they charge, but I watched staff walk right by without even checking on the patrons. Not a pleasant experience.

I've been to this Grille three times now. Twice for lunch and once for dinner and all three times I've been highly dissatisfied. Today I stopped in with a friend and ordered hamburgers - it took over an hour to finish lunch. Never did we get offered bread to stay the excessive wait nor was the food that exceptional to justify it. I won't be giving this place any more chances.

The wine list is the best... and the Mojitos are awesome. If you like to treat yourself and friends to a great place....This is it!

I know two servers that work there, and even if I didn't, I'd still go back. I went to their bar for my 21st birthday, and I had a wonderful time. It isn't loud and crowded like most bars, and the scene is good and clean. The Sunday brunch is excellent, and their Lobster Macaroni is to die for!

What a fun place....They have delicious food and a fun nightime ambiance...If you can get a table you can even play pool. This is a great place to have dinner on Sunday and Monday nights ...They have live jazz.

I just moved to the Washington Park area from Seattle and though there are numerous fine dining restaurants in the neighborhood, I've found the Washington Park Grille to be suitable for every occassion. Their Sunday brunch is the best I've experienced with everything from homemade waffles and omelets to sushi. Also, I've been there a couple of times when they've had live music. One night, a jazz group during a romantic dinner and the next a great rock band for drinks after dinner. The service has proven excellent as well. Highly recommend.

I read a couple of the negative or mediocre reviews on the grille and just had to comment. My wife and I bave been dining here for twelve years and always look forward to it. We eat here on average maybe five times a month. The service is excellent, the food is high quality and delicious, and the prices are reasonable.

The best recommendation we can offer is that we have been frequent customers for twelve years. So either we're glutons for punishment, or they must be doing something right!

We highly recommend the Grille.
