We had called in Jim and Dave's perviously to evaluate our dishwasher and had no issues with their service at that point. When our washing machine went out we decided to give them another call. The worker, Dean, came out and gave us very poor service. We have a stackable washer/dryer and had specified that before he came. Only one guy came out and my husband had to assist him in the removal of the dryer apparently they never send out more than one worker which I find ridiculous because not every customer is able to help with the handling of appliances. That's why people have professionals come in to do the work for them! Once the dryer was down we were informed that our hoses were broken and we needed new ones. He told us that he usually carries these hoses in his truck but they had been unexpectedly removed. He had come unprepared to fix what we needed. He told us that we could go get the hoses ourselves and put them in. He did not even offer to go get them himself and actually fix our washing machine. Once he left we had the task of attaching the hoses (which was not the easiest) and putting the dryer back on top of the washer (which was very difficult and took us nearly and hour to accomplish). We were charged $68 for 15 minutes for his time and left with over an hour and a half of ours to be spent shopping and installing what we needed. I was very annoyed with the service we got and so I contacted the business to get a refund and was promptly told that I would not be receiving this refund. All I kept getting told is that the worker was trying to save us money by having us do things ourselves. No matter what I said about the service, I was very rudely ignored and told there was nothing to do. I cannot believe a company would offer such poor service and then deny that such bad service had been provided.

Contacted Jim and Dave's via the net and left message. They called the next morning to schedule. "Ben" came out and it took it just a short time to figure out what was wrong with my dishwasher and even knew the approximate age of the appliance! He was super nice and efficient! They ordered the part and called me and Ben was back a few days later and it's fixed! WOW! Now that is service and BEN was absolutely perfect!

Very, very disappointed. This company is very disrespectful of their customers time. I recently coordinated for Jim and Dave's Appliance to come to my house and fix my stove. They gave me a 2 hour window of time (4pm to 6pm) for their technician to come and he didn't show up in that alloted time. I was there waiting for 2 hours. In this day of cellphones, he could have easily called at 5 pm or 5:30 pm to tell me he wasn't going to make it in the 2 hour window. He finally called me at 2 minutes before 6 pm to tell me he was on his way. That was unacceptable and I told him so. He wasn't there in the time alloted and he would have then taken even more time to fix the problem. I had already lost 2 hours of my life, not to mention the fact that I wasn't at my job for those 2 hours so I lost money. I called Brad, the manager, the next business day and he said that their times are approximate and that the technician called within the time frame and that's all he has to do. Since I was the one that told the technician not to come (which he wouldn't have been at the house within the 2 hour window), then that's tough. I will never do business with this company. They give service techs a bad reputation.

My wife and I are building a new home. Our building sent us to two other show rooms and we were not that impressed with the prices of new appliances. We visited Jim & Daves and found the show room to be very helpful in appliance decisions. Dave was outstanding in assisting us and personally spent many hours with us until we made our final selection. Also Dave informed us that they were continuing to improve their show room and bring in new appliance updates to better serve their customers.

I have gone to J&Ds and found their builder's center to be awesome! I guess the previous reviewer must have seen their old location a couple years ago.
I purchased a great set of scratch and dent appliances that are like brand new at a very good price. They know how to treat you well and are very friendly. I know of several other individuals who have had service on existing appliances and rave on their service. I think they are doing a fantastic job!

My builder sent me here to purchase appliances and I wasn't really impressed. The store is located in an old house and is hard to find. I don't think they carry the best quality appliances and the prices aren't that great. The staff isn't very attentive either. Even though I was in the store, the counter person kept answering the phone instead of assisting me. Go here only if you have to.
