I dropped off a dress shirt to be dry-cleaned last Thursday, my first time using Continental Cleaners. I pre-paid as required, and was informed that I could pick up my shirt the following Monday after 4:00pm. I arrived Monday around 5:00pm to pickup my shirt. When the 2 teenage girls working at the time had trouble finding my shirt, I knew I was in trouble. After searching for several minutes through much of the store, they finally "found" my shirt in the back and quickly bagged it and brought it up front. It was immediately obvious that my shirt had neither been cleaned, nor pressed. My white shirt was wrinkled, covered in black fuzz and in "worse" condition than it was when I dropped it off. So, they apologized and offered to "re-do" it, telling me to come back the following day after 4:00pm. Fast forward 24 hours. I arrive around 5:00pm. Dj vu. One of the same girls from the day before again went on a search for my shirt. Unable to find it up front, she once again "found" it sitting in the back, bagged it and brought it to me. A filthy, wrinkled mess just like the day before. In disbelief, I asked if she was truly trying to tell me that the shirt had been cleaned and pressed. She answered that she believed the shirt had been cleaned, but possibly not pressed. Fed up, I requested a refund. She offered to either redo the shirt a THIRD time, or issue a store credit. I refused both, stating that I would never be back, and requested a cash refund. After a phone call with the manager, Milli, she informed me that she was unable to issue me a cash refund until Milli was able to personally inspect the shirt when she was next in the office and requested that I come back after Milli had a chance to look at it. Unbelievable. My time is worth much more than the $2.50 refund that I stood to gain by making yet another trip to Continental Cleaners, so I took my uncleaned shirt and will take my future business elsewhere. AVOID Continental Cleaners.

Lost my shirt, it took 2 weeks for them to try to find it. Couldn't find...didn't think they could any way.Filled out claim form, 6 weeks later no word from them . Ask for status of payment...continue to get the runaround.

10 weeks have passed...no shirt, no refund on the laundry cost for the shirt they lost, no resolution, no communiction from them. No more a customer at Continental.

Shirt laundry quality only fair..but fairly cheap.

Advice...don't use Continental

Despite numerous visits to the store, phone calls, they refused to resolve the situation or even talk to me. They are crooks & don't know what they're doing. I strongly advise people to not use this business!

For as cheap as they are ($1.75 per item) they do a really good job. They are courteous, quick - normally your clothes are ready for pick-up the next day after 4pm and they do a fair amount of business but still get you in and out in a reasonable time. This is a pre-pay drycleaner and the reason they charge such low prices is they dry-clean in bulk. I dryclean a lot of silk items and it's not been an issue. The only thing I might want to change is not being able to have extra starch added to my clothes. The articles aren't pressed quite as nicely as the service a more expensive drycleaner would provide.
