.

To begin with the service was quite odd - sometimes wacky and sometimes pretentious. But this schtick didn't work - it didn't feel quirky and inviting, just off-putting. That pretty much sums up the food too. The buffalo carpaccio was good - interesting flavors and well prepared. The same can't be said for the rest of the meal. The lamb burger was not cooked to the proper temperature, and I'm sure it was actually beef. The "mashed potatoes" were those awful dried things that you used to get in a diner; and whipped into a shape with deep grooves too. (I didn't know anyone still made this?!!?!) The halibut over gazpacho just didn't work (how are you supposed to eat soup with a fork?) The wine list looks impressive, but it wasn't particularly practical. The rest of the menu looked like something from 1975. If you think that era was the pinnacle of culinary excellence, then this restaurant is for you.

Pros: buffalo carpaccio

Cons: service, menu, prices, food
