Wits End Comedy Club NEW DIGS Since Wits End moved down the street to 92nd Ave, The experience has gotten even better. The building is very nice they still have free parking and it is more spacious inside. I have been going for years and never get tired of it. the waitstaff is great and I have liked every comedian I have seen. One thing that I really like is that they are getting in a more diverse group of comedians instead of always having the same old white guys up there. :)

Ratings_icons Wits End Best Place To Go

Wits End is my favorite Comedy Club. The place fills up fast and I "always" warn people in my party to be there "no less 30min before the show starts, otherwise they may not get in". They did start a minimum 2 item policy, that means drinks or food or combine both. Thankfully it is not a 2 drink minimum because I don't want to see drunks out of the streets with me. Have yet to see a comedian I did not like.

Ratings_icons Response to Kim

Hey Kim! We went there last night & the manager raised his voice to us, got in my sister's face & said he worked for the governor so to take it up with him...He also tried telling us that we were late that he had "marked" the line @ 7:30. Won't go back let me tell ya!

Ratings_icons Wits End displays poor customer service

Kim F.

The way we our group was treated while being seated at this club was horrific! We experienced the same type of treatment as the two previous reviews. We were invited by someone who had won a "free" party of unlimited guests, and there were the same seating issues. It was the OWNER who had treated us poorly, screaming at the customers because he was frustrated with the large crowd. He responded to my complaint with nothing but angry and aggressive comments about us being late, when in actuality it was nothing but utter chaos in that place. God help everyone if there is ever a fire there, I don't think all those people crammed in that small space could ever make it out. I think there should be an ordinance in that area to prevent that many people in that tiny of a place. Make no mistake, the guy that owns this venue has extreme anger issues. It resembles more a biker bar in the bad part of town than any comedy club I've ever been to. I can understand why the police have so many problems with At Wit's End.

I recently won a party for unlimited guests in a raffle at Wits End. I was humiliated and disappointed when, after seeing all of the colleagues I had invited and reserved seats for on the line at 7:27, four of them were turned away at the door for "turning up too late." The flier I was sent regarding this event states, we cannot guarantee that those arriving after 7:30 pm will be seated with you. Nowhere does it state that those arriving at 7:27 will be forced to wait on line in the snow, then turned away at the door. Why did I call to report the number of people in my group when it clearly did not make a difference? The lady at the front desk was rude, as well, and wouldn't even let us give up our seats so that our friends could sit. Of the 10 people in our party, 4 were turned away.

Ratings_icons Poor Customer Service

I won unlimited seats for a contest. I had 17 people there and the front door lady was very rude. She kept yelling at us to fill in chairs, which there was not enough of us to do so. She then separated our group. Then kept trying to squeeze more people around a table that was already full. She had the people from our group move over with out the table to put in 2 more people. She proceeded to argue with them to leave the table put, which made it hard to reach their drinks and a distraction for all around. Then called the police on our group due to the fact that our friends were trying to reach their drinks. She then had them removed. The police told us that they often have problems with Wits End Comedy Club. We will not be returning for the way situations were handled. We don't recommend that any one waste money at this so called "place of fun". The comedians are great but the business is ran horribly.

PROS: Great waitstaff and comedians!
CONS: Rude front desk lady, no follow up from complaints.

Ratings_icons Funny shows.

We went to Wits End for New Year's. The show we saw with four comediennes was great. Actually, the comedy itself was pretty clean, not vulgar or disghusting as I've seen at other places. They served a buffet style meal after the New Year's toast. Not real impressd with the food, mostly sndwich type foods, some finger foods. Keep your champagne glass in the food line, they do refill it for you -- but once you sit down -- pretty much, no more champagne.

PROS: Very inexpensive way to spend a New Year's Evewith good entertaining.
CONS: Right after the countdown, they really try to rush you out of the building.

Ratings_icons Nice and causy comedy club

We used to come here once a month or so. I used to get free passes at work, plus if you drop your business card in a box there, they will draw your name as a winner of a free party for you and up to 20 of your friends. So we never paid cover. They don't make you buy drinks either, but we typically got a couple because they are priced pretty reasonably. They also some some snacks (chicken wings, nachos, etc.)

The comedians are normally OK, although they rarely have clean comics. Typically you'll hear plenty of prophanity. And you don't want to sit by the stage, or else they will pick on you. Mostly the place is fun though. We even celebrated a New Year here once, which was OK.

The only complaint would be that it's a little bit too smokey.

PROS: Easy to get in free, decent comics
CONS: Smokey

Very good range of comics, some better than others. Always entertaining and worth the price. Great value and great service. Close to home and you can avoid the downtown crowds. Free parking. We have been going for years, and we always return.

PROS: Close to home
CONS: Tight seating

Ratings_icons Great for a Night of Laughs!

My husband and I visited this club on a recent date night. We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves! The comedians were very witty and amusing! My husband and I each had a few drinks from the bar, and they were very reasonably priced, which we very much appreciated! I am sure we'll be going back on another date!

Ratings_icons Cheap laughs, good service.

Randy P. | insider Insider | Rank: 19,046

Wits End is a great place for cheap laughs and great drink service. How the three waitresses keep up with up to 200 drink orders, I'll never know, but I never have to wait long for my next round!
I can't complain about any of the comics, I always laugh!
Wits End has you fill out a card at the end of the show with your name and address on it. Every week they draw a name and that person gets 30 free tickets! We are going with 20 friends this weekend.
The only bad thing is that if there is a full house, the seating can be very tight!
There is no drink minimum, and the cover is $10-$12.50, depending on the night.

PROS: Good comics.
CONS: Seating can be tight.

Ratings_icons Good Place to Start Your Evening...

Lalaena F. | insider_expert Insider Expert | Rank: 7,702

Wits End in Westminster is a good start to an evening out, or the ideal hangout for when you want to do something, but don't want to get all clubbed-out.
The club is small but comfortable, and offers drinks and a decent menu. The club currently has a few nationally-known comics and a mime (?) on its schedule. We've gone a few times, and enjoyed ourselves, although our sides were never sore from laughing too hard.
