i truly hope some one that has a vested interest in this hotel will come across this, read it and do something. it was our wedding day and we had booked 5 rooms for our guests and us in the suite. we showed up a couple hours early to get ready and we asked the management if we could occupy just one of the rooms we booked, dirty or clean, to get dressed for the ceremony, an hour tops. we were from out of town and had no other options. they WOULD NOT ACCOMODATE US AT ALL. they said, "the best we can do is the public restroom". and they wouldnt allow us to deny access to other guests while we were dressing. long story short we made the best of it and got ready. the next day we checked out and we went back in the lobby to fill a very small cooler with ice and again, the little nazi comes out from behind the desk and told us we couldnt have any ice. they said, and i quote, "its a real pain to have to re-fill the ice chest". we were in such shock that we just walked out saying nothing much. we paid full price for our rooms, we could have gone anywhere in canon city to spend our night but we chose these people and they did everything possible to make us feel unwanted. and just so you know, our wedding party was made up of 2 moms, grandma's, dad, one 7 year old girl and a brother. we went to bed at midnight and left the rooms cleaner than what they were when we got there. i will never go back and i will blog about this any chance i get. NO ONE should be treated like this in a place of business. oh and one last thing, the rather large front desk lady couldnt stop hitting on my brother either. it was embarassing, especialy for her. anyway, thanx for reading this and consider your self warned.
