I have been taking both of my girls Soffee and Zoey to the DTACC. It is very affordable and I love the Sunday Vaccination clinics. Everyone in my family takes their pets to DTACC now. I have never had any negative experiences in my 5 years of going there. They truly care about the animals and even let me bring in my other dog when I take one in so that they can be there for comfort, my girls are stuck together like glue. I would never even dream of taking my girls anywhere else. Constant, compassionate and affordable.

I took my sick puppy to get care today and my first impression was not not good while sitting in the waiting room I overheard a unhappy customer telling a lady at the front desk that he could not believe that his dog had been castrated without his consent and they did not try to calm the man down all they told him was to leave and that they were going to call the police on him. I also heard them saying he was a mexican not a wonder and I thought how strange for them to even bring up his race.

My second issue was that after reading a sign posted that it is their policy that every single animal that goes under anesthesia or hospitalized over night must be spayed or neutered. I told them that I did not want this to happen to my puppy and they basically told me I had no choice if he had to be hospitalized. I took my puppy out of there quick and took him to Broadview Animal Care Center where I would be given an option only after my puppy gets better not at their own discretion and Broadview was much more informative and friendly.

DO NOT GO HERE! I was a loyal customer to this vet clinic for years, and should have realized that they do not have a high standard of care. My first issue occurred about a year ago when my dog had surgery to have a tumor removed. When I brought her back to have her staples removed, they left 2 in there which got infected! I went back and they gave me attitude about me removing them myself (which I had to do since pus was squirting out), and then made me pay for the new course of antibiotics she needed for that!

The second issue was way worse. My dog (same one as above) is diabetic, and they changed her dosage from 20 units once a day to 25 units twice a day, which is a huge increase! My dog ended up going into a diabetic coma and had numerous seizures, all as a result of the cumulative effects of this increase in dosage. I almost lost her, and she is not the same since then, not to mention the fact that I now have $3,000 in vet bills due to their negligence. I went to speak to the owner about this, and he was extremely rude to me and said if I was going legal with this, he had nothing more to say to me and slammed the door in my face!
I have students that were vet techs at this place and they told me they quit because they were so disgusted with what goes on there. They said they do surgery in flip flops- which is NOT STERILE! Do not go to this clinic- you could save your pet's life!!

I have had several experiences at the planned pethood on 10th and Galapago in Denver , from shots to emergency care and I am very satisfied with their services . They are very affordable , which help alot in this economy. I have been taking my pets there for 10 years and I have never had a bad experience . The employees are very friendly and professional . They definetly get 5 stars from me and all of my family who also take their pets there.

I do have one con, the SUNDAY VACCINATION is much cheaper, but seems to be done by someone who's just learning to give shots. Our puppies had a scary and painfull experience, with many "poking attempts". I wanted to stop her, and start puking, it was horrible. So, if you or you husband want to save a few bucks, try another location. Or, Try asking for someone who is more skilled, than the young blonde with a pony tail who acts terrified to be giving shots.

I just want to say that Planned Pethood is EXCELLENT!!! We've taken our dogs there for 8 years and have never had any problems. D'Anne at the front desk is the most caring and compassionate person you'll ever meet and has a real passion for all animals. She's very helpful and has lots of great knowledge. The vets are all wonderful also. The prices are very reasonable, you might even say cheap. I've always been able to get my dogs in within a day and on the same day if an emergency. They have the capabilities of doing all kids of surgeries, they can do blood tests and get you results that same day usually. They board dogs, in fact they just expanded to make more room for kennels. They also have a vaccination day on Sundays where you only pay for the shots and not a fee to see the Doctor, they truly care about the animals and not $$$. We've moved to SE Aurora, E-470 and Quincy, and we drive the 30-40 minutes to take our dogs to Planned Pethood, they are that terrific, I couldn't imagine not having them to take care of our dogs!! We highly, highly, highly recommend this veterinarian office!!

PROS: Everything, price, quality, caring, ethical, I could go on and on
CONS:
