Rude rude rude, mean nasty snippy manager! Condescending revolting woman that clearly thinks shes better than everyone else in the place!.There too busy to see a paying customer .I needed a physical for my dog to get medicine for arthritis at the kennel he was at, they ran out! I thought I had enough calculated. So the kennel called them and they wouldnt even give a refill for 3 days!
So my Buddy spent 3 days in pain!
Never had bad service or care when the old staff was there. I wish Dr D and Stacy and Elizabeth were still at it there
We took our dog here for years before we figured out to go elsewhere! The prices are crazy high, they're always pushing expensive services and there is definite guilt involved if you don't buy. Doctors and staff are rude and snippy. I am not one to confront, just always try to assume others are having a bad day and cut them some slack. However, the crappy attitude and the pushiness took place over several years. You can find a much better vet in Denver. There are lots of other better choices.
Enough said
I have been a client at Wash Park Vet for many years. They have always gone out of their way to be helpful and kind. It doesn't matter if you are just going in for routine shots or if your dog is really sick. They take the time to listen and answer any questions that you have. There was a short period of time when the receptionists were lackluster, but that has changed! I really appreciate Erin and Monica for all of their help in getting an appointment on short notice earlier this week. My dog was vomitting and I was getting really worried. I was able to be seen the same day and they were able to take care of my dog's needs right away!
Lame lame lame! I called this place to refill a prescription supplement for my dog and they couldn't have been more lame about it. The first conversation went something like this:
me: I'd like to order some more Dasuquin Soft Chews for my dog. Just like last time.
WPV: I don't know what those are.
me: You ordered them for me last time. Can you please do it again?
WPV: Let me ask someone.
(wait a few minutes)
WPV: What's your name?
me: (insert name here)
WPV: Which animal is it for?
me: (insert my dog's name here).
WPV: Ok. It should take a day or so, I'm not sure. So we'll call you when they come in, ok?
me: Great. Thank you.
5 days later...
me: Hello. I ordered Dasuquin 5 days ago and you guys said it would only take a day or two and you would call me when it came in. Is it in?
WPV: You were supposed to call us.
me: How would I know it was in???
WPV: Well it's here.
me: I'll come pick it up.
One day later. I go in to pick it up.
me: Hi, I'm here to pick up the Dasuquin I ordered for my dog.
WPV: What's that? I've never heard of it.
me: Well...I ordered it and you guys said it was here.
WPV: Let me go ask someone what it is.
(wait a few minutes)
WPV: Oh. Well, we ordered Dasuquin tablets for cats.
Ok - now let's refresh. I ordered Dasuquin soft chews for dogs. I had ordered this before from them. I have a dog. In fact, I have 2 dogs. I don't even own a cat.
What the f***??? There are enough competent unemployed people available right now! You'd think they'd be able to hire one or two of them rather than the incompetents they have working there now. That's just absurd!
Pros: the vets used to be good
Cons: Incompetent front staff, rude, expensive
My Lab was ex-rayed when she was a year old and I was told she had bad hips. The ex-rays were on file at the office. I brought her in because she was limping. I was told she was fine. I took her to Alameda East and was told she required hip surgery. I called Wash Park to inform them and say I was extremely disappointed. I was told that the vet was sorry I did not feel she did a thorough job. She had all the evidence in front of her.
I brought Stella, my lab-Mix, to Dr. Jones for an infection that she had in her paw. Dr. Jones was comforting, understanding and extremely friendly with Stella's issues and tended to her with lots of love and know-how. The staff was equally friendly and treated my pet with the utmost professionalism and care that, unfortunately, just doesn't seem to be commonplace anymore. Their knowledge and experience was incredible, alleviating any worries I had, replacing them with solid information and a sense of calmness that will make me come back anytime (hopefully not too much!).
Pros: close to home, considerate & caring
I only went there one time....but i didn't get the service it seems as everyone else did...... It cost me over $200 just to get my dog examined since it was her first time at this vet. I originally came there to get her arthritis medicine but the doctor wouldn't let me have it unless i paid $600 to get her teeth cleaned. I dont know if she was having a bad day?? But I really did not like my experience here. They didn't even give me a receipt when i was done just an estimate for how much the next visit would be. I felt as if they only wanted my money....once again I dont understand why I was treated like this.....Im not the type who complains so for me to speak up it was pretty bad.
Pros: Close to home
Cons: over priced, no receipt, felt as if they only wanted my money and didnt really care about my dog
I just want to say that I am a new client and was impressed with the two sisters at the front desk, they were so organized and were very helpful with my pets and Dr Klauss was so gentle with my pets he seemed like he cared about them and not the money
Pros: The front desk twins are so organized and caring !!!!
Cons: the space
I love the personal service you get at Wash park vet. I was asked a lot of questions and really listened to. I used to go somewhere that had 6 different vets working and it was rare to get the same one twice. This was much different and a lot more personal.\r
Great central location too.
Pros: location, small and caring
I really like the doc here and like the way each animal is treated as a special customer. So many vet clinics have a handfull of vets and there is no personal service. This place makes you feel special.
Pros: nice feel, personal service
I'll never forget her or her staff for putting up with me and for saving my best buddies life. They were awesome. Not cheap, but worth every last penny. Thank you. Even better when I returned a week later in a tizzy, she treated me like a concerned parent, listened, and didn't dismiss what turned out to be a spider bite!
Pros: Same day appt.
Cons: Pricey, but worth it
My dogs usually fear going to the vet, but Dr. Somerville is amazing at making them feel comfortable. I would recommend.
