I don't see my change back!!!

We used them for moving into our new house two month ago. I told them our apartment were small and we were gonna move a lot of the small things by ourselves. We did 6 car loads on our own so that we could save because we are house poor. Nonetheless, on the day of our move, they sent in a huge truck. Our stuff filled less than 1/3 of that truck. Packing took 1.5 hours. It took another 45 to 60 minutes to drive up to the north. Then unloading is another hour. By the time they are done, the bill was 480, which was not bad for professional movers, I guess. I made another mistake that I didn't feel comfortable pre-authorizing an unknown amount on my credit card the day before the move, so I told the dispatcher that I would pay cash. I gave them five 100-dollar bills. The movers took for granted that the change would be their tips. They didn't bother to give me any change back. When I finally asked, they simply said, they didn't carry any change. Man, that was some sense of entitlement. In this economy, we are hurting, too! Not just you! I called their company office right away. The guy promised they would cut me a check. Till today I don't see nothing in my mailbox.

These guys were great! They were prompt, super fast and very professional. We definitely got our money's worth- I have heard horror stories about movers but these guys were nothing but pros. They did not try to milk their time even though they are paid hourly- they were very speedy and efficient so we got the best deal. I will be using them again the next time we move and would recommend them to anybody.

The best moving company I have ever worked with.

I did 2 moves with them and I have very expensive furniture and they took their time & made sure that everything was wrapped & moved without any damage. I really liked the movers that I worked with as they took the time to listen to my wants and needs and made sure that they excited all of them. I would highly recommend Student Movers for any type of move/job especially if you want to make sure the things that mean the most to you are moved with the utmost care and respect; which Student Movers did for me.

In trying to find a good moving company, I read the reviews here and decided to give Student Movers a shot. Turns out... they ROCK! I called for the estimate, they asked some questions and explained the process, then gave me a range (not a big one) and told me what could affect the final cost. Very informative and nice. I'm also storing my stuff with them. They store your items in a vault and we didn't know if it would all fit into just one. Well, turns out I had a little too much stuff to squeeze into one vault, but they gave me the single vault price anyway (how great is THAT?). And the total cost to me came in UNDER the estimate. It's great to find a moving company that actually sticks to their word. Thanks for not being shysters, guys!

Wanted to compliment the two movers who worked for us on 6/24/06, Narius (Spelling?) snd Linus. First, the represenatives of your company who spoke with us setting up the move were professional, polite, and responsible. Then, the morning of the move, your represenative called to get everything going. Tjhe movers, Narius and Linus were prompt, very friendly, very quick and professional.
We felt "well taken care of" inan event that is so stressful and unplesant! We now tell people about you and would use you again.

professional and positive moving experience

I wanted to take this opportunity to let you know what a plesant experience I had with Student Movers from start to finish. I called and received estimates from a number of moving companies. I selected Student Movers because of the way the estimator handled my call and specific requests. He was extremely knowledgeable, helpful,and went above and beyond by providing tips to keep costs down. My positive experience doidn't stop there. I was greeted by the movers with smiles and enthusiasm. They were good natured and took great pride in their work. This move posed a number of challanges (kitchen equip not fitting through doorways, lifting heavy kitchen equipment over railings, etc). The movers worked as a team in a completely professional manner, problem solving quickly and efficiently.

they arrived on time and moved all my stuff lickety split...since this is the first time I have ever used movers I was blown away! They moved everything so quick. I am never using my neighbors pick-up truck again.
