discount tires at smoky hill is honest to a fault, they would bend over backwards for you and lose money, than to lose you as a customer. and that was my only problem with them. they are too nice and helpful. [all businesses should have this problem!] i was looking for specific products, and while one person researched my requests and called me back in with info he had found when i arrived, another person actually tried to help me again. and while i attempted to explain that the associate had info for me, the new associate just couldn't stop trying to research my request all over again. i just don't have time for this type of service and i kind of blew up at them. not really their fault, not my fault, they're just as helpful as can be, they just don't fully listen to the whole story, and are therefore overly helpful to a fault! overall very knowledgeable, gets you what you want, gets you what you need, doesn't try to upsell you. i've bought several sets of tires from them, a used tire as needed, and one rim [not a set!] they can put you in touch with service you need, such as one rim, bend a rim? etc, since they don't actually do the work themselves. they will do you right! i am offended by the person that said they didn't tell him about the need for an alignment? that's like buying meat at the store and angy they didn't tell you how to cook it! and that's the beauty of discount tires, they only sell tires! they don't do alignments, and therefore no upsell. you should be doing an alignment regularly anyway, like an oil change, a 30,0000 mile service. etc, if you wait to see if you need an alignment, you ruined the tire, not discount tires. you ruined the tire! do you blame the dealer when your windshield wiper blades wear out because no one told you? the service is your 'baby' the car is yours, you need to know how to operate it! [by the way check your blades, they're probably worn out!]...and you're going to Big O tires? go ahead they deserve you. the biggest set of clowns on the street! they couldn't align my car, said i had a bent frame. went to brakes plus, found out it was a broken shock! and Big O sells shocks, one would think they could recognize the needed repairs, if they sell the products that they're repairing! stick with discount tires, and go to Brakes Plus for the other service, the combination of Discount Tires and Brakes Plus will keep you on the road and happy!
This is the first time I have used Discount Tire and I do not plan on shopping anywhere else in the future. Dave and the rest of the team are true professionals and it shows in their attitude, knowledge, and work. I would recommend without question buying from Discount Tire on Smoky Hill. Thanks again guys for all the help!

I'd like to go on record about how the staff at the Smoky Hill Discount Tire has been superb to deal with. I have an old classic 1966 Plymouth Barracuda that is hard to find wheels for, these guys did it - and at a very reasonable cost. The best thing about dealing with this store is the extreme courtesy and patience they have shown me in waiting for me to complete repairs on the car so that I can come in and get the new wheels and tires installed. They have literally waited weeks and been nothing but nice about the whole deal. My hat's off to Big Dave and the rest of the crew for being so awesome to deal with.
I bought tires, 5-04 all four tires, from discount tire, and while I like the quick service they offer, I dont like the fact that they dont tell you that you need to get an alignment or give out coupons for an alignment. 2 of the tires are ruined 1 year later only 10,000 miles later, and of course I had to buy new tires and they only offered a $20.00 discount. I thought that was pretty lame seeing how I have bought tires from them for many years. Next time, I will look into Big O first.
PROS: Cheap price
CONS: Not full service
