I don't know what the deal was with the previous salon at this location, but I'm really glad I didn't read these reviews before! I went to Angela at Tonto today, and had the experience you always hope for when going to a new salon.

I recently moved to Denver from L.A., and have tried a couple of well rated salons before coming here. They were not bad, just not the perfect match for me. My experience today with Angela was absolutely fantastic! She very obviously knows a great deal about color techniques, and it is quite evident that she not only has many years experience, but a very artistic eye for perfect color.

Until today I have never set foot in this salon, but they were welcoming, attentive and friendly from the moment I walked in the door. Despite the fact that it was about 5 degrees outside at the time of my apointment, the salon was busy and bustling. They have definitely aquired quite the client base! The decor has the look of the upscale Los Angeles salons I am accustomed to, and has a modern yet warm feel.

I guess the most import fact here is that my color came out beautiful! My previous stylist in L.A. gave me her formula to take with me to Colroado, and Angela went out of her way to specifically purchase the product brand that my old stylist used so that she could try to replicate the exact look that I love. She totally nabbed it on try one, and I'm back to this amazing (Heather Locklear look-alike) color.

I couldn't be happier- I have definitely found my Denver colorist!!! Thank you, thank you, thank you!!!

I'm Tony Westenhaver, owner of TONTO. I opened the doors to TONTO in the middle of July, 2007. The previous salon, Salon Evvero, shared the same location as TONTO. The owner of that salon sold gift certificate packages and went out of business. When former salon clients approached me with their certificates, I wouldn't honor most of them. I was unaware of the magnitude of the outstanding certificates and I had no arrangement with the previous owner of Salon Evvero to honor them. I was just trying to do some of the clients a favor and honor them. I'm offended by the fact that City Search posts these reviews without any fact checking and has the ability to remove these posts at their will only. I have requested to have these posts removed and advised City Search that these posts shouldn't be attributed to my business, but to the former business. Salon Evvero and TONTO are not related in any way. They never have been. Salon Evvero went out of business. I purchased the assets and opened TONTO. Please note that there isn't a single negative review since the time of purchase in July of 2007. Every negative review relates to the purchase of gift certificates from former clients of Salon Evvero. I had nothing to do with that. TONTO has an amazing staff of over 20 people with members who have been in the business over 30 years. WE are competent, professional, and reliable. You won't be disappointed.

totally wasted my money here. I look like a donkey with a very bad hair cut. These people are so rude. I look like a I don't even know what. THey have no talent what so ever to highlight, color or cut human hair. They should shut their business down and find another career. Never buy that certificate ever

I purchased a salon package one week ago. The certificate states that the package is valid for four months. I scheduled my haircut, but today I received a call from the salon stating that they are no longer accepting the package. This is outright fraud!

I went to this salon was because i had purchased a package that was marketed by Ad Efx Marketing Services. I called the salon and made an appoinment for a haircut. when i went their i showed them this card then that woman said she called me on my cell phone an hour a ago saying that she had to cancel my appoinment. I had not received any calls from them in fact i even showed her my cell phone incoming list. she insisted that she called. I asked her my cell number and she did say the correct number. but also said that she was not wearing her glasses on so might have dialed a wrong number. What a BS. Today few minutes ago i called them to make a second visit (Visit B as written in the card) for facial and told them i had this card. Immediately the lady who had picked up the phone said placed me on a hold for 5 minutes then returned and told me if i could call back because they are very busy and can't be on the phone. All in all i had a very bad experience with this salon. Got a very bad haircut which i'm regretting to this day. The employees there are very rude. I'd rather cut my hair with a knife by myself than go to this salon. I have 3 more visits left in this card but i am happily willing to let it go and forget that i ever spent my money on this bs.

I understand that when I girl knows what she wants her hair to look like sometimes it is hard to actually accomplish this for her. After doing some research I picked this salon but was very disappointed. While the person who cut my hair was friendly and real the atmosphere was very empty, not something you want to see in a salon. The die was ok but the girl only spent 10 minutes on my hair cut after which she told the cashier to add $25 dollars to my ticket because my hair was a bit longer then shoulder length. I feel that for the price I paid I could of gone to a fabulous salon that would of made me feel fabulous when I walked out the door and not up set.

Friendly , great customer service, reasonable prices. Highly professional staff took great care of me. I recommend everyone to come an experience the best place in town. Lovely and very happy people will pamper you. By the way, they have great hair and skin products at a very reasonable prices.

DO NOT GO TO SALON E'V VERO! I WENT TO THIS SALON TO GET MY HAIR LIGHTENED TO A BLONDISH COLOR AND INSTEAD RECEIVED HIGHLIGHTS! SOMETHING I DID NOT ASK FOR. AFTER RECEIVING THE CRAPPY HIGHLIGHTS THAT YOU COULD DO JUST AS WELL WITH A AT HOME KIT THEY DECIEDED THEY WOULD CALL IT A COLOR CORRECTION....UM NO, IT WAS HIGHLIGHTS. THE COLOR WASN'T LIKE ANYTHING I ASKED FOR. HIGHLIGHTS WERE SUPPOSED TO RUN $150 AND WHEN I WENT TO PAY IT WAS $300!!! FOR HIGHLIGHTS THAT WERE NOT EVEN WHAT I ASKED FOR!
