At this place you get exactly what you would expect from a local diner. Decent service, coffee and food. There breakfast burritos are gigantic and it's fun to look at all the local pics and info they have posted throughout the retaurant. Come here if you want to meet lots of Durango locals.

Even though durango is the latest victim of the invasion of trendy, over-priced, hot spot real estate, it is "somewhat" trying to hold on to some of it's identity- for now anyway. If you want a genuine diner experience, then this no-frills, hole in the wall spot is it. Recently- my companion & I just wanted to go where locals eat & get out of town, so we learned of one of durango's oldest dining institutions- The Durango Diner. We have been to alot of "So-called" diners across america, but this is the real deal. Cheap & good to eat (especially breakfast) tip: don't sit behind the cook- you will sweat & roast from the heat of the stove/ovens & this is still in the cool of the spring.

Pros: quick, cheap, good comfort food
