1515 is a nice place to go with a large group of friends. The wait times for drinks can be long, but the staff is friendly. It always seems a little crammed here though...

I had reservations for a large (12) group of friends for dinner and found out two days before that the restaurant we were going to had closed down. I had to scramble to find a restaurant that could accomodate us. 1515 came up in my search and was one of the few places that could get us all in.
I now know why. The menu was limited, the food was quite blah and in some cases inedible and the service was less than friendly. The evening wasn't bad, it just wasn't good. I had walked past this restaurant for years and had never been tempted to go in. After finally dining there, I won't be tempted to return.
Overall - not the dining experience we had hoped for.

Great Restaurant

Fine Dining at it's best, located in the heart of Lodo. Great service, and the food has always been outstanding. Parking difficult. It is smaller place but you will enjoy it.

Exquisite dining experience!
by Paul Marcell
We've been to 1515 Restaurant twice and both times it's been a wonderful experience! The menu, the wine list and the service are all top notch. Gene Tang and his staff work hard to make sure you are pleased with every aspect of your visit. I highly recommend this establishment to everyone!
Pros: Fabulous food, outstanding wine list, excellent service

The best Food and Dining experience in Denver!
by JoelWheaton
For the first time ever I had dinner at 1515 Restaurant. The experience far exceeded my expectations, awesome presentations, delicious food and fabulous wines. 1515 Restaurant is a treasure to behold! I was fat with satisfaction in every area of my dining experience.
Pros: Awesome Food & Wine
Cons: None

Over priced and over stuffed
by JanetAllen
The hotel recommended this place and billed the menu as Americana. There was nothing American about the menu, they didn't even have a chicken option. Everything was over thought with far too much effort put into making it fancy. There were five of us in our dinner party and I was the only one whose dinner was edible. That was because I told them to leave the c**p off and just give me a steak.
They even had the nerve to ruin perfectly good chocolate by mixing it with foie gras, Sacrilege I tell you!!!!
Pros: Staff was friendly and attentive
Cons: Menu choices were limited and unappealing

the food is simply amazing
by flyfishin4days
I stopped by 1515 restaurant this week for lunch after hearing great things from a friend, and it turned out to be a fantastic recommendation. Our server suggested that I order the kobe burger with a side of black truffle mayonnaise, which turned out to be the best burger I have ever had. I'm currently on a low carb diet, so I ordered the burger without a bun; however, the meat was so succulent that I forgot entirely that I was missing out on the bun. The burger was topped with pancetta and brie cheese, which were excellent alternatives to the standard bacon and american cheese. The black truffle mayonnaise was absolutely delicious. My wife had the seared salmon, which turned out to be delicious as well. Overall, the service was perfect, and the manager (cindy?) was very friendly. My wife and I will certainly return again.
Pros: great food, great service
Cons: none

I can't believe I haven't been to 1515 before
by brownprb
I have lived in Denver for a while and I was quite impressed and surprised by 1515 as this was my first visit. We went with the tasting menu (with wine pairings) and could not have been happier with every course. The service was not only thorough, but our waiter was quite knowledgeable about every course. Not just with the standard presentation that is to be expected with a tasting menu, but with follow up questions we had as well. The wine parings were creative and well done. I would put the food on par with some of the best meals I have had: creative, well presented, and some amazing combinations of flavor and texture. I would recommend 1515 to anyone and will certainly return again.
Pros: The tasting menu was fantastic
Cons: None in my first visit

Best Kept Secret...Not For Long!
by KLRensink
As most of you know, it is Restaurant Week in Denver, and it is my favorite week of the year! While the economy may have lowered our moods and our disposable income, this is the time that we can celebrate the fine cuisine that Denver has to offer and keep a bit of money in hand. It appears that Denverites are taking advantage of the amazing meals offered around town this week for only $52.80 for two ($26.40 for one). I have had a difficult time getting reservations at many restaurants. I was, however, fortunate enough to dine at a place I didn't even know existed until tonight. It is called 1515 and it is on Market and 15th in downtown Denver. The bar is on the ground level and one only needs to go upstairs to get to the dining room. The ambiance is lovely--urban chic, and the food is to die for, eclectic contemporary American cuisine! We had five people serving us all evening including the owner, Gene Tang, and the manager, Cynthia Aceves. The staff is some of the best I've found in this town and the menu for Restaurant Week is surprising and delicious. The restaurant's normal fare is even more so with Chef's Choice prix fixe, 5 or 7 course meals, with or without wine pairings, for cheaper than you could imagine. Oh, and have I mentioned the food is amazing? They even offer a wine pairing with the $52.80 menu with each course for only $15 more!
I am urging my friends to take advantage of Restaurant Week, which has been extended for an additional week at many of the restaurants including 1515. Times are tough in this industry and it would be a shame to lose such fantastic dining establishments such as this because of poor attendance due to the economy. This slump will be over in time and I hope we will be relatively unscathed her in Denver by still having our great restaurants in tact. Take advantage of Restaurant Week, try new places, return to the ones you love, and be sure to go to 1515 for a truly rewarding evening of fine dining. Let's keep Denver tasty!
Pros: ambiance, food, wine, service
Cons: confusion over the bar on the main floor and not seeing the dining room right off

Fine cuisine
by blsmutz
1515 was a great dining experience. It is a great place for a date! The service was attentive and friendly. I would definitely recommend getting the chef's tasting menu. We did the 5 course meal which had a great sampling of the chef's creations. The chef trained in Paris and also worked at Everest in Chicago. The food was fresh and creative with great flavors. I would recommend this restaurant!
Parking is validated if you park in the lot just past Qdoba on Market!
Pros: Great service, great date spot, the cuisine!
Cons: None

Great special occasion spot
by feebeeDEN
Four of us tried 1515 for the first time earlier this week. We were celebrating our friend's birthday, so we splurged and enjoyed the five-course chef tasting menu with the wine pairing. All I can say is "FABULOUS!" From start to finish, each course was better than the last. The unusual flavor combinations were surprising and felt like fireworks exploding in your mouth! The dishes were well balanced and the portions were just right - there was enough to enjoy the outstanding flavors but we did not leave the restaurant feeling "stuffed" at all. The service was second-to-none as well - our head waiter (Matthew) was very pleasant and definitely knowledgeable about the food. He took our "special requests" without a second thought and passed them along to the chef. Other members of the staff also pitched in to offer seamless service. We certainly did not want for anything throughout the meal. I would definitely recommend 1515 as a place to go for a special occasion. I'm looking forward to going back and trying something from the "regular" menu - I'm sure I will not be disappointed!
Pros: Excellent food, superb staff, free parking tokens available
Cons: nothing

Elegant Food in Comfortable Setting
by jrm1111
1515 was an incredibly enjoyable dining experience for our anniversary with some of the most elegant food preparation and competent wait staff in Denver.
We began with a terrific first course of asparagus with black truffles. The timing of food and beverages was perfect. Moments after finishing the first course a second round of drinks appeared followed by our main courses. The wife had a fresh and creative halibut dish with a basil reduction topped with crispy angel hair potatoes. I chose the buffalo strip with gnocchi, english peas, and mushrooms. Both dishes were culinary delights and wonderfully presented. We competed the meal with a creative "3 Cheese" cheesecake with lemon curd and fresh blueberries.
There are new restaurants coming and going in Denver all the time. 1515 has been right off Market and the 16th street mall for 10 years and somehow we had missed it. It hits all the marks for an elegant meal in a classy but comfortable setting.
If you are looking for a spectacular meal without the pretense I can not think of a better place that 1515.
Pros: creative preparation, comfortable setting, location off 16th Street Mall
Cons: I have been in Denver for 10 years and never heard about it

Fantastic All-round Experience
by MPDenver
All I can say is wow! This was my first trip to 1515 and I would highly recommend it to anyone. My girlfriend and I had the 5 course chef's recommendation with wine pairing and it was an absolute adventure. If you have a wide variety of tastes I would definitely recommend this choice. Since it's the chef's choice, you never know what the next course is, so it's actually an exciting meal. It is quite pricey at $115 per person, but it was a 2 hour experience I will never forget. The sommelier was very knowledgeable and open to critique on the wine pairings. Although it's a little too expensive for a common dinner, it should definitely be experienced for special occasions.
Pros: Excellent food, service, and knowledge
Cons: Expensive

fantastic food
by elisecbrown
When you peek your head in the door, don't let the ground-floor bar fool you: upstairs you will find a truly "fine dining" experience. We have been to 1515 twice now, and cannot say enough good things about it. We have (both times) had the Chef's Choice 5-course menu, with the wine pairing. (There is also a 7-course Chef Choice option.) We have loved every morsel of food! The greens are fresh (some of them are even grown on site), the meats are perfectly cooked, the fish is fresh, the wines are excellent, and the desserts are heavenly. The chef was even willing to cater to a difficult request: one of our party was "allergic" to garlic. Despite this obvious hurdle, the chef served up 5-star food that was 2nd-to-none. The service is top notch. The food presentations are beautiful. We have been to other "5-star" restaurants in the area, and our opinion is that 1515 has MUCH better food, at comparitively lower prices. Of course, the view is not going to be as stunning as the Flagstaff house, but your palate and your stomach will be MUCH more satisfied when you leave (as will your checkbook balance).
Pros: food taste & quality, service, wine list, presentation
Cons: ? (I suppose if you need a table with Flatiron views, you're going to be disappointed)

Fantastic special event
by NJMyers
After eating our way around Denver last fall, my husband and I chose 1515 for the rehearsal dinner before our son's wedding on Memorial Day weekend. What a great decision that was! We knew the food would be fabulous, and it was. With more than 50 people in attendance, the service was flawless--swift, unobtrusive, precise. Gene Tang's wine choices had the wine lovers among us sighing with pleasure. We're from Chicago and we know great restaurants. 1515 is top quality, from the vegetable crudites sushi to the free-form chocolate creme brulee. And a great value, to boot!
Pros: Food, service, wine, ambience
Cons: none

great food, service, and ambiance
by winteroses
We visited this restaurant for the first time last night and it was amazing! The sweatbreads appetizer and dandelion salad were phenomenal and our entrees were delicious. We did happen to go a quiet night, so the atmosphere was very pleasant. Our server was incredibly attentive and the manager came by our table a few times to check on us. Whenever we had questions, they were very prompt with finding the answer. I will say that having the bar as the scene that greets you when you enter may throw you off, there was also a very unpleasant oder in the bar area as we walked through, but once we were in the restaurant upstairs, everything was fine. We will definitely go back again!
Pros: parking tokens provided with dinner, great food, excellent service
Cons: entering through the bar, smell in the bar

Best Mother's Day Brunch Ever!!!!
by 2890154
I don't know what this other reviewer is refering to but my family and I had a wonderful time with the attentive staff and the above average choices on the buffet. Breakfast choices were numerous including awesome fruit stuffed french toast, mushroom quiche, eggs benidict station, and some kind of an asparagus omelette. Previous reviewer said there was only one salad but we found three: pasta, fruit and green. All the food was the right temperature as the staff was feverishly refilling the buffet as fast as they could to keep up with the huge crowds. Big bonus was the raw bar where they had huge oysters, some shrimp and crab claws; cocktail sauce was bit spicy though. We were amazed to find such a different spin on your typical buffet with interesting items you wouldn't otherwise see at your typical buffet. We really liked the soup and eggs benidict station, I went back twice for the lobster hollandaze. We will definatley check them out for dinner.
Pros: Interesting unique breakfast items, amazing flavors
Cons: Really busy, staff seemed rushed

The WORST Mother's Day Brunch EVER!!
by bugs28
My family and I have been to over 20 restaurants in Colorado featuring a mother's day buffet brunch and this was the worst yet!! We were shocked to find a small, and limited buffet featuring a carving station with 2 very dry and cold meats, 1 salad, no chicken dishes or breakfast dishes other then french toast, and 3 desserts. On our first trip to the buffet we were shocked to find that all the hot food was cold and the cold food was hot. We alerted the manager who said he would check on the food but nothing got better. The price was $30/person for a quick 45 minute brunch of leaving hungry and angry. This restaurant has nothing to offer to individuals looking for a warm and delicious meal. Staff was unconcerned with complaints and basically brushes you off. We will never go back (lunch, dinner, etc) and am very unhappy this restaurant ruined that mother?s day!
Pros: Nothing
Cons: Parking, horrible food, bad service, bad ambience

really good food
by reissue
The food here was very good, the service was a little whacky. But I expect that in Denver, its the norm and I've become accustomed to be greeted and addressed as "guy" or "dude". It doesn't matter if I'm at Morton's or Village Inn the wait staff rarely has any grace of formal training. We tried the foie gras, the duck liver mousse and lamb chops. All were excellent but the foie gras really stood out, the combination of the buckwheat waffles and foie gras was a very tasty experience. Also refreshing was the smallish portion size, far too many restaurants in Denver take the chain restaurant approach and serve platter sized entrees. Which is annoying, I don't need to be served a 5000 calorie meal to feel satisfied. Anyway, this place has good eats, it's charming inside and it's affordable.

Major service problems that makes the food less appealing
by lsrf
The negative reviews about the service are absolutely true. I read these before going and warned my husband. We said we'd go anyway, for our anniversary. My husband made a reservation and requested a nice table as it was our anniversary.
When the hostess seated us there were 4 tables going, and she seats us in a booth right next to where the servers enter their orders on the computer, Umm, no, I dont think so. Romantic? Hardly. That was service issue #1. We asked for another table, no problem-but we shouldn't have had to ask.
Our server comes over with amenu and states there are no specials that evening. Ok. No drink menu was offered. We finally got it and we see that Friday nights are 5 dollar well Martinis. There are no prices listed for any of the drinks on the menu.-which is very lame. We order Martinis specifically ordering WELL martinis. There are drink specials but she never mentioned it. We get bread at the table which they continued to refill. They served it with balsamic and olive oil. Still, it tasted good.
We ordered the scallops which had a great sauce-unfortunately they were undercooked in the center. We told the server after she asked us how it was and she said she would tell the chef. My husband had eated one of them already before we had a chance to send it back.Had they been cooked correctly they would have been 5 stars.
The soup with shaved fennel on top was outstanding.
I had salmon for my entree and that was out of this world delicious.
My husband had the sea bass and I didnt care for it.The fish was overladen with cumin. When we get the check we were charged full price for martinis which they then deducted. We questioned that and she said thats just for the bar. Well, if you gave us the wrong menu, you still should honor it. In general, our server seemed ignorant about the items on the menu and what the ingredients were. Did they pick her up off the street? Fine tune the service and its a 4 star restaurant.
Pros: food was very good
Cons: bad service

AWFUL service, average food
by PAHA
I went to 1515 Market for a working group lunch and boy, we were ALL disappointed with the service. The owner seated us, introduced us to the waiter, gave suggestions, mostly primping his restaurant, really, and was gone. Our iced tea came, but took forever to get refills. One person in the group had no ice in her glass and waited for 15 minutes before she got ice and by that time, her tea was gone, and was not refilled. We waited for 45 minutes to get our food, and at 35 minutes into the wait, were able to flag down the waiter to ask how much longer it would be (items ordered: Kobe beef burger, 2 shrimp club sandwiches, 1 salmon entree and 1 chicken entree--were they massaging the cow for 1/2 hr, fishing in the Platte River for the shrimp & salmon, and running after a chicken??) Keep in mind, we were the first patrons in the restaurant and our party only had 5 people. After, only two more tables were seated, one was a couple, the other, a party of 4. The food was good, but not worth a 45 minute wait. And, as far as a "to-go" box, the waiter came by TWICE indicating the box will be brought over. How long does it take to get a box? AND, to top it off, the owner DID finally return to our table with a message: "Next time if you're in a hurry, we do have menus you can look at and order ahead." A person in our group made it known that "if we would have known that we would be waiting for 45 minutes to get our food, we would have done that"
Pros: Ambience, bread
Cons: SERVICE, we had reservations, but apparently, didn't matter

Amazing service and wonderful food!
by mtsky
Having lived in Denver for many years I've had the opportunity to dine at many great establishments and I must say that 1515 Market is truly one of the best! The wine list rivals any you will find in Denver and the service is unparalleled. The menu offers a variety of tasty dishes and the presentation is remarkable. I can't say enough wonderful things about this restaurant and I would highly recommend dining at this establishment.
Pros: Ambience, Wine Selection, Great Service
Cons: Minimal on-street parking

I wanted to make my roommate's birthday very special! Not only with the company of 16 other friends, but I wanted her to feel special on her day! So, I made a reservation for the 18 of us, and we got more than we expected! Not only is the restaurant set up wonderfuly and beautifully, but the entertainment of live music on the second floor and the elegance displayed at our table was amazing! Compliments to the chef!! The food was so well prepared and presented! I definitely recommend this restuarant for anyone looking for a fabulous meal and wonderful environment!

Good food, but a bit overhyped
by armywife303
I had been to 1515 a few years ago and had a great experience, so I thought it would be a good "new" place to take my husband. The food was good, but the service was a little slow. Don't know if we'll rush back, but we will try them again.

Good Food, Horrible Service
by twilliams80129
I went into 1515 with high expectations, given the reviews, and was quite dissapointed in the service. We were first put at a table where the air conditioning blew directly on us, when I asked to be reseated I was told no. After my drink was finished, the waiter showed up three times without ever asking me if I would like another, I had to ask. The food was good, but when I got my Salmon there was still aluminum foil attached to it, as if they had rushed it out of the kitchen. And to top everything off, once a group of about 20 arrived, it took 30 minutes to get our dessert and another 15 to get a check. I will never go back to this restaurant, nor would I recommend it to anyone. The food is good, the service is the worst I have ever had for $75 a plate!
Pros: Food
Cons: Impossible Parking, Horrible Service, Bad Quality Control

Don't understand the rave reviews
by crtic
My Wife and I moved from Los Angeles and so, have been trying Denvers restuarant and bar scene. I have to say that overall we have been VERY impressed. 1515 was so well reviewed that we simply had to try it and it was our first major let-down. When we first walked into the bar area - I walked straight back out to check the address!! This looked like $2 beer bar with no sign indicating the restaurant was upstairs - should have taken this as a hint and left. The decor is sparse to say the very least (not at all like the photos - maybe the had to sell some paintings)!! Menu is VERY limited and we were hard put to find something that sounded appetizing (by this stage my Wife had suggested we just leave). We could only find a salad as appetizer (although that was in fairness well made). We ordered 2 glasses of different wine from the wine list and were brought one bottle and told they were looking for the other. We explained we wanted glasses (anyone know a couple that orders a bottle each to start)!! After 30 minutes we still had only one glass. Service was vague and indifferent. The buffalo entree was way too complex and rather stomach turning. $150 for two people and a very unpleasant experience. Denver has much better at this level.

Only positive, decent food
by augustw
(Please note that this review concerns only the restaurant, the bar may well be fantastic?but I?m not going to try it out)
The food is truly the only redeeming quality of our experience at the 1515; though dessert should be sought elsewhere. But to be fair, good food isn?t too hard to come by at $20 to $30 a plate and is by no means redeeming enough to make the visit, even if you live next door. The service was not only poor, but seemed genuinely unconcerned about it. The atmosphere was more similar to that of a drunken tavern than a classy resto. And to top it off, weak drinks! For your own sake, go somewhere else.
Pros: food
Cons: service, ambiance/atmosphere, parking, overall lousy feeling as you leave

Best customer service in downtown Denver!
by matt2006
I recently ate dinner at 1515 with my new fiance'. After having a wonderful dinner, wine and appetizers the owner came by our table to check on us and see how we enjoyed our meal. During the chat he asked why we were visiting Denver from Kansas City and we told him we had gotten engaged in Estes Park and came to Denver for some relaxation and to tour the city. He congratulated us and sent a very delicious dessert to our table. He could not have been any nicer to us. We'll always remember that as a true highlight of our trip. This place is a must if you love wine, all while enjoying a great atmosphere of local flavor. Two thumbs up! Best Dessert: Peanut Butter ?Sprayed? Chocolate Mousse
Pros: Friendly owner, great service and a wine list to die for!
Cons: There isn't one back home...

Great Restaurant!!!
by oquin
I recently took my girlfriend to 1515 for my birthday and I wasn't disapointed. The winelist was absolutely amazing, they had some of my favorite wines. I especialy liked the foie gra it is very hard to find anywhere and it melts in your mouth. I had the buffalo hanging tenderloin and my girlfriend had the NY steak. Both were excelent and had very unique flavors. I can say that I recomend this restaurant to anyone looking very a different and satisfying dining experience.
Pros: Great Winelist, Great Food, Excelent Service

Worst "Fine Dining" in Downtown Denver
by paloma8
We are a couple in our early thirties that go out to dinner quite often in the downtown/highlands/capital hill area. The only indication of fine dining here are the white tableclothes. The service was horrendous; when the server finally did arrive to our table and we requested a wine list, she looked for about ten minutes then returned informing us she could not even find us a wine list even though the restaurant was only about 25% full. The appetizers of crab cake and relleno arrived cold when they should have been hot, both appetizers drenched in the same orange cream sauce. The chicken adobo was flavorless and dull, seemed like a few very small pieces of roasted chicken from the grocery store thrown on top of some yellow lentils. Service, food and wine were horrendous.
Pros: None
Cons: Everything

DELECTIBLE!!!
by shubbard78
I can honestly say the Buffalo steak at 1515 was one of the most exquisite things I have ever eaten. Every bite just melts in your mouth. I don't know how they do it! I would love to try other things on their menu because so much looks delicious, but I'm quite sure that every time I go back I will be unable to pass up the Buffalo. Every friend/family member that comes to visit me in Denver will be coming here to try the buffalo!!! You need to go! You won't regret it. And sit upstairs- it's so cute! And Gene, the owner, is AWESOME! Ask him to recommend a good bottle of wine for you... he's right every time!

My boyfriend's parents were in HEAVEN
by ddinern
Just took my boyfriend's parents to 1515 for dinner and have never seen them happier. The bar and restaurant are both BEAUTIFUL and the perfect setting for a delicious yet casual dinner - and they raved over everything, especially the Chicken and Salmon entrees. The ahi and venison apps were to die for - and the owner and waitstaff were so gracious and helped us select the right wines. What a great place for an amazing night out! We would've stayed to enjoy the live band after dinner hours, but it was a school night...next time for sure.
Pros: Amazing food, Great atmosphere, Excellent service

Fun place for a cocktail.
by springlilac
Our meals had just too much oil on them and it was too expensive. We dine out often and are serious critiques. We don't mind spending, but want to get value for our dollar.
Great spot to see and be seen. But don't take someone concerned about their diet.
Bar scene works great for all generations. Very exotic and mysterious.
Pros: Location, Ambience, Drinks
Cons: Not the best food, Service is just ok, Wine mark up

Food great, Service horrible
by pattib22
We ate at 1515 for the first time. The food was great. The service was horrible. It took 3 hours to complete our meal! There was (no lie) an hour lag between appetizers and salads! We had to ask our server to order wine after we sat drinkless for 20 minutes. Our waitress had 3 tables with 6-8 people so I did feel a little sorry for her. I emphasize the little however, because never once did she apologize for her terrible service. In fact, she tried to act like she was providing great service. To top it off, when she brought the bill, she mentioned that "the standard tip was included". It was 18%. Isn't standard tip 15% when they add it to the bill? The food and atmoshpere of 1515 were great. However, our service was so bad that it ruined our experience. We will not return.
Pros: food, atmosphere, live music in bar
Cons: , horrible service, poor service

Would Try Again
by harddriv
The service was great, the owner came over to serve the wine. We started with the crab cakes which were delicate and delicious. The cheese appetizer was ample for two people. The food was artistically prepared. My wife tried the Portobello Wellington, which was fantastic. My friend had the smoked duck which was a bit small, but tasty. I ,unfortunately, ordered the restaurant's untraditional version of Paella, which I found bitter and difficult to eat. The Key Lime Tartlette dessert was excellent. The wine list had many reasonable choices to compliment the meal. If not for my entree, I would have rated this place higher, but I would try it again.
Pros: Service, Good Parking, Artistic Food

Great Value for Lunch!
by yhowe
Mr Tang needs better wait staff - our waitress was very slow and didn't speak English very well, otherwise, the Kobe burgers were great, the grilled tuna sandwich was delicious and the salad option with the tuna was terrific and the pricing was very reasonable! Highly recommended! Mr Tang was very attentive and gave us great advice on the menu options.
Pros: Attentive management, Great food, Location
Cons: New(?) wait staff

Not going back

One of the worst dining experiences I've had in LoDo. If 1515 is trying to market itself as an upscale LoDo dining establishment, it has a long way to go. The decor consisted of mismatched table chairs, plastic flowers on the tables, and liquor rep giveaways scattered around the dining room as "art". None of the servers knew who was supposed to take care of us - we had multiple servers try and take drink orders and tell us about the specials. If you order wine, call ahead. We ordered a bottle during appetizers, and by the time I was almost done with the main course, it showed up. The server never checked on us - we always had to flag her down from across the room. Food, while eccentric, was nothing spectacular. If you are looking for a nice, upscale place to dine in LoDo, don't look here.
Pros: affordable, not crowded
Cons: poor service, decor needs work

Outstanding service and food!
by alexandra_coleman
Our project (about 140 people) had a party at the restaurant (2nd floor) just recently. Gene Tang, the manager and his staff went above and beyond of what was expected. The party was a real success! The Hors D'Oeuvres were delicious, the service was excellent, the lamb was "out of this world"! Thank you again, and we all will be back soon!
Pros: Good for groups, Private atmosphere

Kick it up a notch!
by epelster
The service on my first visit to 1515 was very good. Although the food is not served hot, the beef tenderloin was cooked medium as requested. Overall first visit was positive, so decided to take a friend their for his birthday. On the second visit, the service was terrible. The waitress kept making excuses although she only had 2 other tables. she placed the order wrong and my friends tenderloin was cooked with a match although he asked for it medium well. I will state that the owner is very friendly as is most of the staff. Careful hiring and a little more attention to detail, could kick this restaurant up a notch.
Pros: Ambiance, Owner Friendly
Cons: Service, Food lukewarm

Elegant
by Snowy_Daze
Best service in Denver! The restaurant upstairs is beautifully elegant. Some of the best soups and salads I have ever had. Outstanding but inexpensive lunch specials. We plan to bring friends for their Happy Hour in the main floor bar that has live jazz in the evening!
Pros: elegant, inexpensive lunch

Service is 1515 out of 10!
by dollyhineman1
I just wanted to point out that the service we recieved at 1515 was incredible. We had made a reservation for over 20 people in the back room on a Saturday night. Fred was our server--along with Janelle. The two of these individuals were so attentive to our needs--we couldn't have asked for better service! Water glasses were always full (and I am a relentless water drinker), they were funny, out-going and totally on-the-ball! Everything was great--really great--food came out on time, hot and delicious! We don't get to Denver too much, but 1515 will always be top of our Denver restaurant list! Thanks Again!
Pros: service, food

Denver's Finest!!!!!!!
by Luciana0505
1515 is a cut above the rest. Everything, I mean everything surpassed our expectations. The restaruant was immaculate, it smelled lemon fresh, woodwork was shining, service was impeccable, mixed green salad was outrageously good, the cheese plate--outstanding, the crabcake--easily one of the best I've ever had, Buffalo was something people dream of! Our waiter knew the entire menu, was extremely attentive--and recommended everything we ate--it was absolutely hands down outstanding! Don't miss it! And the wine list...allocated wines all over the list--and priced reasonably! Take my advice...go for it!
Pros: Service--outstanding, Food--delightful, FREE Parking
Cons: desert borderline

Best Hamburger in town
by DenverDad
It may not be famous for its hamburgers but it should be. I had to dash in from a business meeting and ordered the cheap hamburger with chees for $7.00. I think it had to come up from the bar and is not on the dinner menu.
Best burger I've had in years! 1/2 pound of real flavor. You could actually taste the cheese. Served with fried potato salad (?) which, though different, was delicious.
Pros: Best burger in town, Reasonably priced, Good service
Cons: Must walk thru smoke, No elevator, Smoke come upstairs

All about the service
by LAbombshell
We entered the busy but quiet dining room on the second level of 1515 Market Street. The atmosphere was relaxing and elegant--dim lights, candles burning and eclectic artwork. Shortly after being seated, my friends and I were greeted by an attractive female named Susan who smiled at us and asked us if we cared to start with something to drink. She suggested a fabulous bottle of wine and dissapeared. Moments later we were presented with the bottle of wine and the appropriate Riedel glasses by a very charming, handsome young man from Boston. He recommeded the crabcakes & the Buffalo--both of which were exceptional. He was funny, witty and very attentive to all of our needs (unfortunatately he was engaged or I would have eaten him up!). The food, service and everything was awesome, although we live in LA, we will be back for the service and food.
Pros: handome waiter, incredible food prese, handsome waiter
Cons: plastic flowers.

A True Gem!
by VWJettaBoy00
What an amazing restaurant! We had dinner here last weekend and this is truly one of the top restaurants in Denver! The crab cakes were amazing as an appetizer and you have to try the Buffalo Rib-Eye! The service was great and we stayed in the bar after dinner to listen to the live band. A really pleasant experience I am recommending it highly!
Pros: Amazing Food, Attentive Staff, Great atmousphere
Cons: None!
