Donna, nail technician: 5 STARS
Tangles salon: 3 STARS (if that)
My first experience with Tangles salon was not a happy one. I left two VM messages to make an appointment with their nail technician and never received a call-back. When I finally reached the salon, late in the afternoon, I let them know that I was no longer interested and that they clearly didn't need my business.
But, the next day, Donna, the nail technician, did call me back, apologized for my inconvenience, and explained that the salon has no formal receptionist and she was not working that day. I decided to make an appointment to repair a badly damaged gel nail and she did an absolutely excellent job. Donna is an extremely talented nail technician and her repair was skillfully done and almost impossible to detect. She is also friendly, efficient, and punctual, which I value highly.
As for Tangles salon, I'm not nearly as impressed. There's really no excuse for not having a full-time receptionist to greet people, answer phones, offer refreshments, and book appointments. Tangles has an impressive website, but the image falls apart once a client (or potential client) picks up the phone.
New in town and found the salon on line.
I saw Tina who was VERY good and funny.
She really knows what she is doing.I had a full foil
and a hair cut, better than any I have had in years.
The salon was very ,very clean, and I found it is full service
.I will be back. Catherine
About a week and a half before my daughter's wedding, the salon at which she had made appointments for herself and her bride's maids canceled her appointments. In a panic, I called "Tangles." When I spoke to Bev, she moved heaven and earth to make time for five people on a busy Saturday. We were all apprehensive about not having had a trial run before the "big day," but we shouldn't have been. The up-dos were amazing and they even worked in the mother of the bride! Having my daughter's appointments at "the other salon" canceled was truly a blessing in disguise!
