The day before my 30th birthday I went in for a manicure and eyebrow wax. Karen, assisted me with both. The manicure was okay but the wax went horribly wrong. Ive gotten waxed before and my skin always turns red, whos doesnt, this time though I noticed that it was a little bit redder than usual on my lower lid. I didnt say anything at first because I didnt think anything of it but as the day progressed I noticed the area starting to blister. I ran cold water over the area and put some aloe vera on. I went to my computer and googled 1st degree burns and low and behold there was my answer. The following Tuesday I went back to talk to Karen, I went Monday but she was not working and Kim asked me to come back the next day. Lets just say Ive never been more insulted in my entire life. She tried to say that I cut myself or that I somehow had something to do with the burn. I was outraged! Kim tried to calm me down and in the end I did get my money back but regardless I will never go back to this salon again and I will always be reminded of this experience whenever I looked in the mirror at this horrible scar over my eye!
