Dr. Stanford and Dr. Headley are friendly and Dr. Stanford in particular has great bedside manner, but they couldn't get my child well from congestion and severe cold symptoms after 3 months of trying anti-biotics, nebulizer treatments, and even steroids.

Their office staff leaves much to be desired, as they don't great you when you walk in, and many times don't acknowledge you at all, even after signing in and waiting to be seen. They can't help with billing questions, and instead give you a number to call.

Be sure to keep all receipts, as you will likely be sent a bill, and made to prove that you made an in-office payment months after the services were rendered.

My minor gripe is that of the 4 or 5 visits, there was only once that they had paper printouts available for the kids to color on. They don't have toys in the office and the only thing to keep the kids occupied are the colored pencils they have on the table that most of the time they don't have paper for.

The last issue was the deal breaker for me. They don't have an on-call doctor that you can reach by calling the on-call number. You have to call the on-call number which is routed to a call-center where you are on hold for anywhere from 15 to 45+ minutes where you explain to them what is happening, and they determine whether or not to have the doctor call you back. If they determine that your reason warrants disturbing the doctor after hours, they page the doctor and the doctor will call you within an hour.

I used this system with success on a Saturday afternoon after a total time of about an hour and 45 minutes between placing the call center call and having the doctor call back. However, on Christmas Eve when my child had an allergic reaction to the newest prescribed anti-biotic, I was on hold for 40 minutes, when my call to the call center was dropped. I called back and waited an additional 20 minutes before I determined that I needed to start calling around to other pediatricians to see if he could be seen immediately.

Bottom line, if you are seeking excellent care and service this isn't the office for you, especially if you need a doctor after hours, and with children, you likely will at some point.

We are new patients of Dr. Headley's and she is absolutely wonderful! Instead of brushing my son off to give me instructions and such, she spoke directly to him. When I made the appt, I was able to speak to someone on the phone, I didn't have to leave a message that I wanted to make an appt. I absolutely hate that. Once there we didn't have to wait long at all to see Dr. Headley. What a great practice.
