.

I have been a customer at Colorado Lace for many years. Before I left Colorado in 1986, it was absolutely the most professional dry cleaner in Denver. A litle pricey, but worht it. Recently due to a change in personnel the 6ht Ave location has been extremely inconsitent and charges outrageously for standard laundy. I launder and starch all of my basic button down Lauren shirts, which had been priced at apprx $2.70 for years. Last week I picked up a sleeveless linen shirt that was priced at $4.76 for standard laundry and medium starch. It had been $2.70 for 4 years and suddenly almost doubled. It needed no special handling and despite what many think, linen is not delicate. I have laundered and starched my shirts for 35 years without ever having any damage. They adjusted the price before I left but the new clerk said that was the price. Then I looked at the price to launder a pillow case and it was $9.10. It had been listed as a King size sham, but it was just a standard size linen pillow case. That made the price for 2 pillow cases $18.20. The price for an entire linen duvet is $21.35 ( I have 2 still in the bags with receipts which I checked up returning home). I called the owner to see if i could get a price list and speak with her about the incident. She hasn't returned my call from 4 days ago. The last time I had a similar problem, I tracked her down and she said she didn't call back because the manager called me, which she hadn't. Sadly i called today and the very flippant clerk said the owner doesn't take calls. Until they go back to the old Colorado Lace way of great quality and customer service I suggest going elsewhere.

Pros: convenient locations

Cons: poor quality of work and outrageous prices
